There aren't many good alternative clothing stores in florida and subculture was one of them. Supply is small but demand is plenty, how is business bad? I mean in 7 months i would have assumed subculture would have moved locations, not temporarily closed. Go to ravens and rockers in Lake Magdalene instead, more options and even a thrift section. They have tripp nyc all the way to bodyline, good range for all styles.

I spent roughly 30 minutes looking at clothes and shoes. Winnie saw me carrying around three pairs of jeans and asked if she could put them in a dressing room for me while I continued shopping. Yes please! I wish all stores offered this type of service;) I tried on many items and decided to buy two pants and three shirts. My bill was roughly $45. Be sure to bring your own shopping bag as do not offer them. And sign up for rewards so you earn credits and an annual birthday coupon. I will absolutely be coming back to Uptown Cheapskate!

I came in this store on the evening of November 11, around 5pm. The store was organized and clean…read more I was greeted by Debra, who immediately asked about my swim needs. I told her that I was going to Hawaii and needed a simple, classic black swimsuit. She immediately took me to prints. I said that black was what I wanted, so she took me to black. I also said that I was a fan of Bleu|Rod Beattie (sp?) because I had previously purchased a few suits from that line at Swim 'n Sport. Instead of letting me browse, Debra kept inserting her suggestions into my line of view. Some I liked, some I didn't. She continued to take me to the printed suits. I continued to say they weren't my taste. This was starting to get annoying. I finally chose a print to appease her. When I started in the fitting room, I knew immediately which suits were and were not right. With a suit on, I called to her and asked if there was a bottom that fit a bit higher. The other salesclerk (who was standing behind the counter) said I needed to come out to show them what I was wearing. I refused. (Mind you, she wanted me to walk out of the dressing room where I would be exposed to ANYONE walking past outside the store whilst clad in a bikini that was unflattering). She insisted. Again, I refused. At this point, she was annoyed. Needless to say, at this point I was annoyed as well. I tried on a few pieces and all the while Debra continued to show me pieces that I had already browsed (and politely refused). She never truly LISTENED to me and was obviously trying to upsell me at every turn. THIS MADE ME VERY IRRITATED. ***Because they have a no return policy on swimwear, I began to feel like she wanted me to make impulse purchases on pieces that weren't really my style.*** In the end, there was a suit that I very much liked from Skye, but honestly, I just didn't want to purchase anything from this store. The experience was so unpleasant that I decided to go online and purchase the same suit elsewhere.
