I was told medicaid didn't cover the eye exam..... which doesn't make since they said she needed to see a special medical eye doctor that's y I had to pay... but I only saw the original optometrist...no one special and he yelled at my daughter cuz she was scared cuz her eye was in pain .... then i asked y i had to pay for visit that i didnt get ..... these people r rude and just wanted money for NOTHING..... never again will i go here... they are a disgrace to eye doctors I don't even give them a star rating but had to for the rating. read more

I go here because it's the closest place to where I live. the actual doctor is awesome but the people up front are kinda ehh. they don't really care about the patient expect making $$$, I went in the other day my eye was super red due to long wear of contacts I needed a new pair so she told me it would get there in 3 days then I asked if I could just have a trial pair since I ordered some and she seemed really hesitant ,which I didn't like because they didn't really care about my eye or actually checking me in. read more

My experience was a positive one, the Dr. was very nice. The girl assisting in the vision/glasses section of the building was extremely helpful and all around great. I can't really comment on the rest of the staff, my dealings with them were short. Make sure you ask for help when picking out your glasses, especially if there for a child. They seemed to be expensive. This was my daughters first pair @ $200.00. I did not do my homework before I got there, this is because I wasn't expecting such high prices. These prices could very well be common place, ask for help and do your homework. All around good experience !! read more

I seriously should have listened to the other reviewers. The staff is absolutely horrid at this vision clinic. We never even got to see the doctor and we won't be returning so whether or not his "awesomeness" is worth putting up with the staff I'll never know. Called to schedule an appointment and the earliest they could get my daughter in (she broke her glasses) was a week from the call. Okay it was the only place I knew of that took her insurance and the location was convenient-ish. I work in Houston but live in Tomball. I bent over backwards and drove like hell all the way from Houston to Tomball, took time off work and picked up my daughter from school, had someone drive from magnolia to look after her younger brothers to make the appointment, got there with one minute to spare. Walked in and the "Receptionist" with what appeared to be prison style tattoos on her arms and some serious attitude gave my daughter and I serious stink eye before she even asked why we were there. I told her my daughter has an appointment at 3:00, she asked her name with all the attitude she could muster and looked her up. She then tells me that "Uh no... that's next Tuesday at 4:00". I told her no that I made the appointment for today at 3:00 she repeated that it was next week at 4:00. I was beyond pissed, I left without saying a word. My first thought was screw them I won't cancel that appointment. Let them deal with the empty time slot. Then I realized they had her insurance information and would probably bill for the appointment anyway and then we'd be up a creek and unable to get my daughters new prescription. so I called to cancel the appointment with as much politeness as I could muster, I asked the girl on the phone if it was common practice to change appointments after they were made. She was polite until then and she denied that it was and it must have been a miscommunication. I'm sure what she meant to say is that it was a mistake on their part, because it was. In closing, don't bother unless you can stand ignorant people with serious attitude problems. read more

I can only say good things about Tomball Vision. They took care of all our needs after our original Dr cancelled on us and the staff didn't bother to accommodate. We were then recommended to Tomball Vision by another group of eye people. We walked in and they even were able to take my daughters current frames and replace with the new lens all in an hour. I actually look forward to going to the eye doctor when I go to Tomball Vision. Favorite parts of my experience: they have my contacts in stock for trial and that is so rare because I have 'special' eyes ;-), the wait is short, the doctor and staff are friendly and helpful, it is not 'corporate' in a way that you are just a number, and getting an appointment is very easy. I have no complaints about the staff. They have just always been nice, but dealt with them very little. Dr. Ditta is a very kind man, with good bed side manners, even though he is not that kind of doctor. when you ask questions, he tries to explain it so you understand. The ladies in the glasses area, are very helpful, especially while my son is picking out his glasses. Just all in all usually a good visit when we go. read more

Very pleased with Dr. Ditta, but some of the staff needs an attitude adjustment. I went there to order new glasses in January of this year after having cataract surgery. I gave the girl my new prescription , low and behold they make my new glasses with the script prior to my surgery! When I went to pickup my glasses can you imagine the shock I had. So then I had to wait longer for new lenses, now 6 months later the lenses have a defect. Took them back and have waited two weeks , still no replacements. Guess I was pushed to the end of the line because it's warranty. I notified my insurance carrier and complained. Suppose to have my new lenses in a few days, we will see. This has got me to thinking I may have been charged more than I should have as well as my insurance provider. That's a question I need to ask when & if I ever get the replacement lenses! read more

Ok so the doctor himself is amazing. Awesome guy with a huge heart. The staff however...today I had to take my special needs daughter to Texas Children's Hospital. I cannot drive without corrective lenses so I needed an emergency pair of contacts. The front staff refused to give me an emergency pair because they wanted me to schedule another appointment for a checkup (100 some odd dollars) EVEN THOUGH my contact lenses I had were working JUST FINE. I agreed to even schedule one next week if I had to, to get my contacts today but they refused. I asked to speak to the Dr, but they made excuses. The girl on the phone talked to me in a Demeaning manner like I was stupid. There used to be an older lady there that was petite and very sweet-I wish she was still there. When my contacts tore she had no problem selling me a new pair. Unfortunately I have chosen to discontinue my services with them and I REALLY hope Dr. Ditta changes his staff back to people who CARE instead of trying to make $$$$$ read more
