I have been going to Dr. Ditta for probably close to 20 years now, and he has always been very thorough, incredibly kind and well priced for cash customers while still accepting insurance. He has a good selection of frames and sample contacts for a small business. I have convinced many friends and family over the years to see him & I have only heard other glowing reviews. My personal experience is with both contacts and glasses for sensitive eyes & a big head. He never hesitates to let me try whatever I want to try during the contact fittings every year, and when I was a teen he didn't even blink when I contacted him 3 months after getting a pair of glasses I didn't wear due to headaches. He got me in for a new exam which came back the same, but said the lens material might be the issue, and he was right! I can only use polycarbonate lenses. When I was having issues at a super low cost mega competitor a few years ago, they gave up trying to help me fix the glasses and just refunded me after the remake didn't help and my exam was "the same". I went and paid cash with Dr. Ditta & their prescription was off! I bought a pair of glasses from him and wore them with no issues for 2 years. TLDR; This is my vision clinic for life. read more

Dr. Ditta is patient and the staff is made of real people who understand real people concerns. They are relatable and make the awkward and often uncomfortable chore of having your eyes examined much more pleasant than any other place I have been. Atop being kind and helping you laugh your way through discovering how blind you are, they also have a device that allows for you to NOT be dilated, which is super handy when you drive yourself and you need to leave to drive home when the sun is its brightest. It was some small fee for this machine, but Dr. Ditta receives more information from this non-dilation method than the dilation method... PLUS no ZZ Top glasses (which i am sure they would give you anyway if you actually wanted them). I got hooked on these people when I had something get into my eye one morning. Everywhere was closed and i was referred to them. They were compassionate and Dr. Ditta was so thorough. He didn't make me feel like a rushed walk-in. I scheduled to come in for exam/glasses at a later date (which was today) and he took just as good care of me today as he did the day I had something lodged in my eye. Go here. Since the other reviews are a year-old or older let's update you on this, Tomball Vision Clinic is very awesome. The front staff was very courteous and very nice. It helped me with all my problems checking in and signing in and all of that. Sara the contact lady was very sweet and order my trial pair along with my one year of contacts when they didn't work out she ordered me a different pair and those were fantastic, she gave me free Biotrue solution and Thera tears eye drops for free I did have to buy a case which I totally understood. Debra the lady who works on the glass inside was very sweet and helping me order glasses and have lenses done on my old pair of glasses. I'm over all very happy with my experience here I've been going here for 2 years now and I have nothing but great words to say about this place and the people in it they are not all about the money they are here to help us get what we need and return for a good price and also and return make money for dr. I went to Dr. Ditta/Tomball Vision Clinic several years ago and he gave me a prescription that I could not even wear to get out of his office as I became dizzy trying to walk. So I went back in and he gave me another prescription that did not really work for me. I went back in and he said it was the best he could do..... I just couldn't see to drive at night nor read up close. For 2 straight years I thought this was the best I was going to get. When I needed a new prescription I went to Envision Eye Care on Holcombe (the other side of town from me) because it was close to my work. Dr. Giao Nguyen ROCKED!!!!!! She spent a whole hour on me working to get things right and ALAS, I FINALLY can see well!!!!! I went thru 2 years of not seeing ONLY because I didn't have an eye doctor that wanted to spend the time to do the job right! This doctor is awesome!!!!!!! Don't go to anyone else except Dr. Giao Nguyen - even it if is a long drive, it will definitely be worth it - your eyesight is everything!! read more

Luckily I didn't read any reviews before I decided my husband and I should go with this particular vision clinic. Mia, the front desk/exam assistant, was wonderful and we immediately took to her. She welcomed us right in, assisted us with everything (neither of us have been to an eye doctor in years), as if we'd known her our entire lives; you simply can't get more friendlier than her. The greatness didn't end with Mia, Dr. Ditta was amazing as well. He answered every question we had and took great care to explain things we couldn't understand. 2 weeks later, we went back to get glasses and that lady, her name escapes me, was really friendly and competent as well! I don't know who the previous employees were that everyone else in the past were talking about, but I'm glad I chose to go here now and not before. We are are family of 4 and all wear glasses. We've been going to Dr. Ditta for years and love him! He has some new additions to his office staff, and they are wonderful. The girls have all been extremely helpful with most of my family recently transitioning to contacts. On the front desk and contacts side, we had awesome help from Mia and Tyler. Additionally, Kristin was great help on the glasses side. The new staff, with their friendly, positive attitude has been a positive addition for Dr. Ditta. Tomball Vision doesn't have a flashy office, but I'd trade that for great service any day! read more

Dr. Ditta is fantastic. I was seen very close to my appointment time and he took great care of me and made sure the new contacts were working well prior to me leaving the appointment day. His staff was kind and I did not have any issue with them as other reviewers have before me, but I did not ask for anything extra like free lenses or solution. The optical center is actually holding my prescription lenses until Friday so I can select my frames. Overall, I see the practice as less expensive and more patient focused than TSO, or any of the larger practices in the area. read more

Dr Stephen was an amazing eye doctor. He took his time and gave me a much needed thorough exam. He carefully examined my vision and did not rush the process in order to give me my exact prescription. His staff reflected the same process and explained each charge and insurance detail for me. The entire process was smooth and easy. No long waits which gave the doctor more time to complete the exam. They overcharge you for your lenses, threw away my Lenses, glasses came back with internal blemishes on lense and they want to charge me for their bad work . Had to file with BBB & insurance company & contact my attorney, they told me I will get used to the blemishes in my lenses..HORRIBLE WORK and SERVICE!!!! I love the doctor and I love the customer service. I am always satisfied with that aspect of my visit. However, even as someone who as excellent eye insurance, the prices on frames are ridiculous. $450 for a pair of rimless is beyond excessive. Markups definitely need to be brought under control. I don't get my frames there very often because of the cost on frames. read more

I had a little trouble making an appointment,but other than that Dr. Ditta and his staff were great. I would recommend this office if you are looking for more of a personal touch instead of feeling like you where part of a heard of cattle.
