I really got the best bang for my buck and is a true all inclusive experience that I will never forget. The owners here are also very friendly and their mission about starting this place years ago shows their dedication to the hospitality market. This place is clean and it feels like I'm staying at a four-star hotel. They do have a lot of terms and conditions when it comes to booking so be aware before booking please don't make any changes. The lobby itself is beautiful , the rooms itself are incredible. They have a beautiful balcony if you stay in the main part of the hotel. The outdoor area is also really good and has great views. you even have a bonfire. The guests here are really down to earth and friendly. This place hosts weddings and other Gatherings as well. Since there wasn't a lot of guests here, I really wish there was an opportunity to actually have the bar open during our visit. The Innkeeper also does a great job taking care of the hotel. Even though it's a bit far even though it's a bit far from a grocery store I recommend buying your stuff in advance. If you're making your way to the winery Trail or to the hiking trails you're in the absolute heart of it all and that's why this whole house and the prime location that it is! Highly recommend staying here . You will not regret your stay

There was lots of inside seating, but it was extremely loud (and crowded) when we visited. The front room is decorated like a German beer hall. We sat in a large room off to the side that looks like it would be used for wedding receptions or large parties. There is also a patio with seating but it was a cold day so we stayed indoors. The patio looks like it could use a refresh but the view is very nice.

We were invited into this large bar space with ample seating and easy access to another attached large space that had even more seating which led to even another large seating space outside with a view of the valley. Von Jakob offers, wine, beer, and limited bourbon which we were told was really a one time offering, and once the bourbon is gone, that's it. We were only there for a tasting and did pick up a few bottles. I never felt rushed and the host was knowledgeable and offered information on all that was available as the tasting list was extensive. There was no live music while we were there but I would not hesitate to come back for that. A solid experience.

This is so relaxing with a jacuzzi and the most comfortable bed with perfect pillows. We had a nice hike and when we came back the shower was perfect. You step out to warm room from the ceiling heater/fan and wrap yourself in a warmed towel. Put comfort. We were close to 12 wineries and enjoyed the long cal eatery Blue Boar. Delicious too. Can't wait to return. Enjoy!!

It was easy to find and the owner, Rebecca, met us late Friday to show us the room as we had to drive in from St. Louis. The room was even nicer looking than the pictures and had all the amenities as promised! The room was very clean and welcoming. The jacuzzi tub was AMAZING and even had aromatherapy bath gel to use. My favorite feature aside from the tub was definitely the towel warmer in the bathroom. It's hard to beat a warm towel when you are stepping out of the shower! I even used it to warm up my bathrobe, which was also provided. If you are looking for a romantic weekend getaway, this is the place to go. We were so close to the wine trail, which we enjoyed Saturday, and loved being out in nature away from it all but still close enough to get back onto the highway without trouble. We had an excellent experience!

Rhea and Tony (the owners) didn't miss a thing! On their 125+ acre of property there are 2 rooms that rent (not attached to the house) for anywhere between $65-85 a night (I believe) and there is a log cabin suite for $130.00 per night which is what we choose. What an amazing place, so romantic, it is so beautiful! They have a private entrance to the log cabin that you walk through grape vines with beautiful flowers and hummingbirds all around. Our cabin had its own private Jacuzzi, fireplace, grill, king bed and wrap around deck. The also have a hot tub outside for all to use. She had the whole room stocked with everything you possibly needed during your stay important to remember the chocolates too! We were joined to the house by a breeze way but you never heard a sound except for the occasional bark from Daisy the new puppy! Rhea made us "Continental" breakfast every morning and it was out-of-this-world! The first day she made us strawberries and pancakes. The second day was an amazing egg souffle with peaches and blueberries and the final morning we had cherries and waffles. I was hoping she would slip me some of the recipes! Their property has many walking trails and one lead to a cave that Daniel Boone etched his name in the wall. Now, did I climb up to see, heck no! The other paths lead to 3 ponds stocked with fish and one had a row boat you guys could get out on and fish, made my husband's day! I highly recommend, if anyone is heading to Southern Illinois for outdoor fun or to hit the wine trail, consider this B&B, its the best I have ever stayed in and plan to go back!
