At 9:00 am on 12/20/2025 they could not bring him in immediately due to an unfinished job from the day before, which led to a six-hour total waiting time to job completion. On 12/19/2025, my Husband was quoted one price, which he agreed was reasonable. On 12/20/2025, he was NOT informed the price would more than doubled before the work began. He was led to believe the price quoted was what he would pay, and if he had been informed before work began, he would have turned the service down. This was infuriating as hell to him, because his only recourse to getting our vehicle returned was to pay the astronomical fee he was billed, and not the lesser amount he was quoted. Needless to say, we will never return to this business, nor will we recommend it or give it a good review. As my husband and I currently feel robbed and deceived by R&M Auto.

He came out and 5 minutes later he told me it was my fuel injectors and they were leaking. Paid him to replace them. Get the car back and the smell is still there. He then tells me it's my fuel line and it's leaking. Pay him and he replaces it. Still a smell. Then he tells me I have a leak in my fuel tank. Pay him and he replaces it. Get the car back and it has lottery scratchers and packs of cigarettes strewn about. Car drives well and no smell for about two weeks. Then car starts to stall out and not start. He says it's the alternator. I pay for the alternator and it doesn't fix the issue. He tells me it must be the battery, so I pay him and he replaces the battery. I drive the car the next day and it stalls out and I'm stuck on Scarborough bridge. He takes the car and says it's the fuel pump. He keeps my car from December 16th until February 1st saying it was the fuel pump. Today I'm driving it and the same issue and the car breaks down. Please NEVER use Bare Motor Works. I'm out over $2000. I take some of the blame for continuing to let him work on my car.

The mechanic at the dealership told me I needed lower control arm bushings and it would cost $1200.00. I called Russel Automotive and he said he would charge me about $500.00. I dropped off the car at Russel and he called me a little while later and he told me there was nothing wrong with the bushings. So he saved me $500.00 (or $1200.00 if the dealer did the work).
