I go because it is convenient, just a mile from my house. It doesn't get cars clean. We get out and wash the dirt (pollen, bugs or bird poop) and then we to through it again. I watch and the brushes today didn't go near the right side of the car, my grands are watching and holler "bird poop is still there" come on, you can do better! The back is hard to clean as well. The vacuums work well and we like that. The mat cleaners are a good thing, but only if they are flat. I have the curved rubber mats, they won't fit the machine. Next month I'm thinking of pausing my memembership and checking out another place. read more

My Hubs and I got the Monthly plan so that our cars are always spotless, at least on the outside. We rarely use the vacuums but they do Suck properly! We like that they're open until 9pm so there isn't a reason to go early in the afternoon or morning. He can take his during the evening and I can take mine when ever I want. It's a car wash: so what? There are many to choose from within a few short miles of this joint, all of which offer the same level of packages, prices and the like. So who really cares, one asks? I myself like Home Team just down East Bay. Tommy does NOT provide attendants to wipe down your car. They don't even provide clean, damp microfiber cloths so one can wipe down one's OWN car. They DO offer free vacuums like the rest of the car wash outfits described herein...they're not as good or strong as some of the other guys. They also offer car mat cleaning machines for use; that's crazy! Quite honestly it seems that if your car mat needs cleaning, then a vacuum should take care of it along with a damp microfiber cloth. Another thing lacking is a prewash station. Be it the attendant at the wash bay entrance with a pressure wash nozzle and a soapy broom or a DIY prewash: nothing! Last straw was that selfsame attendant at that very wash bay entrance... Queen Bee and I said to each other "I see someone really enjoys her job!" Husky, redhead freckled woman! No greeting, no smile, no mask, no words...nothing. Just motions us toward the appropriate spot and vaguely points toward the sign saying to put car in neutral, etc. Only reason we bothered with this joint is because the Queen Bee got a mailer with two coupons for free "our best wash." That's the ONLY reason I'd ever patronize this place ever or again! At least the cashier told my dear bride to "enjoy your wash!" Although I'm sure a nice car wash is an enjoyable thing, old Tommy Boy need to assess his business model or he gonna be washed up! read more

I swung by here yesterday afternoon for a quick wash. I was told it's been open only for a few weeks therefore, it was pretty much spotless there. Very clean and a friendly worker I spoke to nice as well. There are various options to choose from to get your car washed here as I chose a place like this since I don't feel comfortable having someone come inside my car to clean it yet. After paying via credit card, the worker mentioned he'd swing around the other side and guide me in. I swung around, dropped it in neutral and the wash began. He also went to the back of the car to place a plastic bag around the back wiper which was a nice touch. There has never a car wash that fully dried my car with their dryers but this place came pretty close to it so nice job. My only hang up was the worker was not wearing a mask. As a business, I feel these days that all employees should be wearing a mask out of courtesy to stop the spread to their customers. **Update 2/1/2021 What did your trusted Kia source say about the panel of the roof that was lifted from the air dryer? *** I have a 2012 Kia Sorento. Great Shape. Until it went through Tommy's wind tunnel of hell. It tore off the top of the roof where the panel sealed near the sun roof. I had a bug shield for the hood of my car that was pulverized by the vortex wind dryer at the end of the experience. I could not recommend this place any less. I've driven up and down I-75 for 8 years in this car with no issues..no accidents...no storm or speed ever ripped off my bug shield like this thing. I've been through many of car washes without an issue. One day at Tommy's for 19.95 wash now costs me 80.00 for a new bug shield and permanent destruction of my roof. When I noticed what had happened, we turned back into Tommy's and spoke to Darwin, the Manager. He said he would need to review the video to see and confirm where in the carwash the damage occurred. He would need to get his admin to approve any repairs or compensation as it was "above of my pay grade to make the decision". We also have the entire incident on video. This is what happened when we reached out to contact them after my horrible experience: Good afternoon sir, As stated on our disclaimer posted at the entrance of the wash, we are not responsible for any aftermarket parts. After contacting a certified Kia dealership we have confirmed it is an aftermarket part. Therefore we can not repair or replace the bug shield. I have used Tommy's car wash and I almost think my car is dirtier when I leave! Terrible wash! I've washed my car there many times, sometimes going through more than once per visit...I have canceled my subscription and will never go back. Went to another car wash called Woodies after my wash with Tommy's and my car was immaculate! (and no I do not work for them) Also, the wash tore off my drip edge on roof of car. Just tried Tommy's for the 1st time: First I will say I will not be returning Looked at prices on line was stated it was 10.00 which was not the case it was 10.70 so that was the first issue. Then I was met with a cashier that did not have a mask on when we are under a mandatory order. No Employees had masks. No cloths are provided to dry your car which are done at the other car washes around. Went here to get the works car wash which was a total disappointment in the quality of the wash. Left water spots all over the car, didn't clean the bugs or the rear of the car. Spoke to Quan on the phone who was very helpful and reassured me that I would be able to receive a refund for the wash and that he would take care to make sure I received the best wash the next time I came in. He then handed the phone over to the manager who gave me a run around of excuses as to why the wash sucked. He told me to come in for another wash today (which was useless as I already washed the car again myself) and told me I was unable to get a refund. He even felt the need to say "your conversation with my employee was on camera and I know what you were told". Terrible customer service. Pulled in to use my new membership; I don't like being too close to the guy in front of me, so I waited until the car in front was about two car lengths away. Then I put my truck into neutral and allowed my truck to slowly roll forward. When I contacted the bump strip that pulls my truck forward, I started to put on the brake, but was immediately accosted by some kid screaming ANGRILY for me to stop. I gave him the bird. The supervisor/manager person in charge then hits the all stop button so she can come out and berate me like a child for not understanding why he was screaming at me... and to inquire if I was okay, as if I was some elderly person requiring medical attention. I'm only 56. I understood, I also understood that at no time was I anywhere near causing property damage and I certainly wasn't doing anything that should anger a normal person. Then she turned the line on again... almost as if she could have stopped it at any time had I been out of control. I'm going to say that I travelled approx. 6' before braking and had at least 18' between myself and the car ahead of me. I'm sorry if you have an unrewarding job; don't take it out on me. The customer isn't always right... but does deserve to be treated with respect and shouldn't be subjected to melodramatic nonsense. Never using Tommy's Express Car Wash in Largo ever again! Their machine pulled open a plastic latch on my car and broke it off. When I called they told us they had found the broken part. When I asked if they would help on the repair cost they said no. I understand if a window wiper gets pulled up or something happens to a mirror as this parts are open for problems but this was a small plastic part that was closed and their machines forced it open and broke it off. Warning, these folks want to pick your pocket. They sold on a month of free car washes if we paid for their top wash. We were told all we had to do is install their app. Found to use the app you have to put in a credit card. Phoned the car wash to complain and was told that was required. And that after the month was up our credit card would be automatically charged for another month if we did not cancel. None of this was told up front. Scam alert for sure. read more

Do not waste your time with this business. The employees just sit in the office, and make you wait before they'll open the gate to the car wash. This is happened to me several times. I've reported this before, and was given the same old line that you read in the other reviews. It's no wonder that the reviews at this business are so bad. The last three times I've gone to get a car wash, the attendant has come out and screamed at me, and scared me to death. When did they stop doing their job and guiding you into the car wash? This company I guess does not enforce Mask wearing. The very young Male Cashier was not wearing a mask when I drove up. I asked about the mask wearing he said he will when he wants to wear a mask. The Cashier is higher then the car and 3 feet away. It's my understanding that in Pinellas County masks are required by all employees. He never did put a mask on. Do not use the Tommy's Car Wash at 4205 US19 N in New Port Richey, FL...the staff is inept and useless as support. I signed up for a membership two months ago...I was supposed to be able to go through the member gate. Every time I went for a wash I had to wait because the employees were useless at their job and could not verify my tag. They made me wait as other cars continued in, even in the pay line. Nobody made an effort to rectify this situation. I was charged for the second month and went for a wash today, 7/5/21. They did the same thing to me about the license plate....acting like it was my problem they can't read my plate. I got indignant and upset about the care I have received as a member. They refused to serve me, made me leave the property and arbertraerly decided to cancel my membership and never gave me my money back....I have hired an attorney since....I will not talk bad about any other location because I only used the one location.
