Does a good job of cleaning but the wheel cleaners damage bumpers and rims. I've had my bumper clips break off 3 separate times now. The first two incidents happened at another location in Largo. This time it happened at this location and it also happened to damaged two of my wheels. The wheel cleaner is way too aggressive when it clamps down. There is a mirror on the wall I watched as it impacted so hard it pushed in the side of the bumper breaking clips. It moved the whole car and yanked my steering wheel even holding it straight. Every time i go to Tommy's car wash i have a great experience as soon as you drive in to the car wash itself. At the window Justin was professional and great. It's the best. I have to let you know that if your car doesn't come clean out of this place maybe your car is just too dirty. You can run your car thru the washer as many times as you need to get it clean. Sometimes I go through twice. While I appreciate the convenience of your location, I was disappointed by a few aspects of my visit. Firstly, I found the price of the car wash to be higher than I expected, especially considering the lack of complimentary cleaning supplies and vacuums available. The vacuum have poor suction and or the hoses are damaged. No tire cleaning supplies were offered. Other than something in a white bottle not labeled. Who would something not labeled or even provide cleaning agent without a label ( the guy said it was windex) Furthermore, I was surprised to learn that additional cleaning supplies were offered at an extra cost. As a customer, I value both affordability and the availability of necessary tools to ensure a thorough cleaning experience. However, the absence of complimentary cleaning supplies (other than an unlabeled bottled that no one knows what's inside ) at the initial price point felt unreasonable to me. I give Tommy's three stars for quick service as well as the free vacuum and car mat washing service that they offer. The vacuum and car mat washing area are self-serve/service. I deducted a couple of stars because I got the "Works" package and afterward my car still looked as though it needed the works in some areas. The sides of my car and my tires received a decent wash. The roof, trunk, and hood of my car all looked virtually untouched and need to be washed again. I will say that I've neglected washing my car for a while so I will suggest having your car hand washed in a case like that rather than coming here. This seems like it is more suited for cars that just need a light wash rather than the "works". The "Works" service is $18 and includes tire gloss, body wax, red hot cleanser, rainbow coat, 3-step wheel cleaning, tommy guard, and the underbody flush. One other thing I'd like to add is that my little ones were in the car during the service and they were able to sit through the carwash without being scared. A seven-dollar wash, not the first, definitely the last ( after woeful manager exchange) left the weatherstripping around a window damaged. There was actually part of its fabric machines hooked onto the car. Weatherstripping pulled off and it's still not right. Worse yet? They denied it and took all sorts of pictures and tried to walk away with the fabric from the felt machines. This happened more than a month ago. The best part? The managers! The main manager called me back after many messages at 7:30 AM. I asked her to call back later and she sounded like she was so inconvenienced. Hilarious. She is the corporate manager? The onsite manager was a nightmare from even before the wash. You know the type. The kind that doesn't hear a woman say "No". He pushed for me to join their ridiculous club, despite the fact some last next to me was stuck because she belonged to this club. When I said I wasn't interested, I was asked why not. I used to liked Tommy's car wash and thought almost like all of you. Until the day I bring one of my other cars and the machinery broke the rear brake light part on the back of the roof of the car. First they told me not to worry we will help you and then they told me that they were not going to be able to help me because the paint was a bit ugly and that the car was already 11 years old and that part was rusty. That part is plastic. It can't get rusty and the screws are not rusty. The carwash broke it and now they don't want to fix it. I entered through one door with everything fine and left through the other without half the roof of the car and they don't want to pay me. Incredible. Very sad the situation. I got the monthly membership with the most expensive wash. My car wasn't even very dirty and I've taken it through the wash twice now and it still isn't clean. Most of the car wash subscription places are rip-offs. This one is no exception. I figured since it knew it would at least wash my car a little better than the other places I've been. Unfortunately, I think it is worse. The only saving grace is that their conveyor belt system can't damage your wheels. I will admit the process is really streamlined and you get through quickly. It looks really nice from the outside and it is a rather pleasant experience going through the wash, but I didn't come for meditation or pleasantries, I came for a clean car which I do not have. I will continue going for the rest of the month and see if anything changes considering that they are brand new. I will definitely edit my review if things change, but unless you're taking advantage of one of their free washes for being newly opened I would steer clear. Noticed a couple of vacuums with broken hoses, as time went on it became the norm for several vacuums to be unusable. With this location being very busy it became very inconvenient to vacuum my vehicles. Canceled my service on both vehicles. Now the real problem began. Was charged for the next month. called them and was told that a vehicle that was not even ours and a plate number not even close to matching ours was being charged on our credit card. So I called the store many times and left voicemails. Very impressed with the customer service & quality of car wash. My car came out fresh, clean, and shiny. I like the vacuum system which is strong & able to do its job well. Also, I like mat cleaning machine which works efficiently. However, I would highly suggest that they should have a sink & soap to wash hands for customers after cleaning and vacuuming their car because many people use the vacuum, so I feel like my hands would have lots of germs on them. The car wash itself is fine and fast however when you get to the vacuums everyone is literally polishing their car or re-organizing the trunk in the "vacuum" space instead of vacuuming their vehicle which leaves you sitting there for 15 minutes hoping that you can get a spot to vacuum your car. There should be an employee regulating people vacuuming and leaving after vacuuming because the carwash rotates the cars too fast for all of these people to take up the spaces polishing their cars with a cloth when they can do that at home. I wasn't happy with the first car wash but we had been updated to buy the unlimited month package so we went back a second time, BIG mistake! 3,500.00 damage in dents and scratches to my brand new VW Atlas Crossport! I could have cried harder but I was trying to hold it together. We asked employee to get the manager, 20 minutes later no one, my husband called no answer left a message. He finally came out when my husband physically walked through the wash entry to enter the building. Manager Alex took pictures and said he would forward it all to corporate. Week later no word on anything despite a phone call and two emails. I would avoid them at all costs. I just retired and paid for that vehicle and it likely won't ever be the same. I feel that no matter where I go an express car wash is either a homerun or a drizzle bunt to first and an easy out potentially even turning a double play. Tommy's kind of breaks that rule because they're not a homerun, but they are at least a ground rule double or maybe just a safe single. Some elements about this car wash I have really enjoyed that I have not found elsewhere which include a longer and seemingly more thorough express car wash pass through, and a vacuum set up that finally figured out it's a lot easier to have a vacuum on each side of the vehicle instead of stealing your neighbors. The big issue I had with the vacuums is they also were hit or miss. Some of them had the suction power of a black hole and others had the suction power of a coffee straw. Additionally there were no free towels and spray bottles to clean the interior or finer details of the exterior. Now you could pay an additional three dollars to buy these things, so I would recommend bringing your own. My only other complaint is that their locations are fairly spread out with one being in Tampa, one being in Saint Petersburg, and one in Clearwater. If you do not live near any of these locations then the monthly car wash program probably would be somewhat inconvenient as I would imagine It would be a lot nicer to just be driving past one of the locations and stop in real quick to get a wash as part of your monthly stipend. read more

I have a brand new 2021 Escalade that I have been reluctant to take to my regular car wash (won't mention any names here) but I thought I'd try Tommy's for my new car. I did sign up for the Works subscription and was very happy with my first wash. Afterward I got out and checked the SUV up and down and it just needed a few wipes and it was good to go. Most importantly for me, no damages, no scratches and my side mirrors were still in tact. I say this because I have other nicer cars that have experienced damages that have cost me considerable amounts of money to repair. By far the most high tech car wash in the area. Really cool and consistent car wash. Many car washes don't offer free mat washers or vacuums as included amenities whether buying an individual wash or on a wash plan. Unlimited plans are definitely worth it considering the locations have long hours morning to night. Staff is always friendly and will address issues at the wash promptly.
