    Lunch

I've been coming to Tommy's all my life starting as a child fishing "the river" with my Dad or after a day of skiing on the Rez in High School. This place never disappoints. Old school flat top burgers and plate lunches. Other than breakfast I've never had anything but the burger here admittedly. I come to places like this for burgers. I'm sure it's all good and some of the plates passing by looked tasty. Come check it out if you are traveling on the Natchez Trace or if you are up at Turcotte Range. It's worth the drive across the north end of the Ross Barnett.

What happened to this place? Must be under new management. It looks rundown, dank and has the most expensive crikets on planet earth.

I ordered Cod fish sandwich and green tomatoes The review of too much sauce on sandwich was on point. The fried green tomatoes were by far the best thing. They were hot and perfect. They needed some sauce. Fries were cold.

A lot of fun drink options; my MIL ordered their spin on aperol spritz which was great and refreshing. Our food came out super quick & service was great. The ambiance was fast-paced, different seating options, and huge bar area. Our waitress was very attentive to us. What we ordered: Appetizer: onion rings - delicious not too much breading and crispy. So so good. The backyard (basically double cheese burger on Texas toast). Father in law said it was fantastic! Caesar salad (large) + add chicken. This is what I ordered. I enjoyed the chicken - kind of a Cajun season - but I did wish I was grilled! Patty melt: some kind of Big Mac sauce, gooey cheese, 10/10 from my husband. Cod sandwich : my MIL ordered this on sourdough; she really enjoyed it. You can swap out the sandwich bread to whatever bread of your liking. My family ordered fries as a side, love the hand cut type but they all said they were over salted. Overall, fun spot for a delicious lunch.

Some odd reason, the place comes up on my swarm app as a food truck. It's not, but it's an actual sit down restaurant with outdoor and indoor seatings. They have a salad bar as well. I loved the tea area you had black current and sweet with real cane sugar. I did their mix n match. Which entails a half sandwich, fruit, soup, chips or salad. I chose the Carmella sandwich which was good. Very pack full with meat. I was shocked I didn't taste the Spicey picadillo sauce. I guess it was because it also had mayo. I paired this with half a tomato bisque soup, was good and a bowl of fruit. ( strawberry, pineapple, and grapes) with a dipping sauce. My husband had the full Sicilian sandwich with chips. He said it was good. Prices are a little steep but it beat having something we have back home. Staff was friendly and helpful. I am not sure what apps they use in the ladies room, but it smelled good. My only takeaway was their music that was playing. Not everyone has a knack for Christian music, but maybe if they played a soft rock alternative mix and not just the one station. It's nice to have a blend.

Great food, excellent service. Enjoyed the experience. Good sandwiches and salads. Predictably good…read morefood and service.
