We are blessed with too much shade and needed two live oaks removed. I called Tommy based on his location and for a random shot in the dark, I got very lucky. He met me the next day, gave me a very reasonable quote for cutting down the trees, stacking the usable firewood in my rack, and grinding out the stumps. I called Tommy to get a quote on trimming our trees. He asked if he could head right over to check it out. In 20 minutes he was at my door. Tommy walked around my property with me to show me exactly what he and his crew would do, then gave me a VERY reasonable quote (a fraction of what others had given me). I called later that day to set up the service and he agreed to come out the next day. Next day, he and his crew trimmed our trees very nicely. I called yesterday morning and an hour later chainsaws were buzzing in my backyard. Tommy came over right away, gave me a great estimate and him and his crew did a great job. Removed one dead tree and I can't even tell now that a tree had been there. They also removed a live tree, trimmed a huge tree and shaved down some of my stumps. Tommy kept asking if I was pleased by the job and I was. They used a blower to clean off my roof and porch when they were done and raked up the little sticks and branches from the yard. I moved into a new "older" house that has beautiful trees, but they had not been trimmed in a long time. The magnolia was 40' tall but couldn't even be seen for the other trees growing into it. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided to call Tommy's Tree Service It was a Sunday, but Tommy answered the phone himself. He came right out and looked at my yard, gave me a really good quote and made an appt. for the next day to come out. He was on a job at the time, but as soon as they finished, he and his crew arrived at my home just a few hours later and had my tree removed in a very short time. Tommy Ingram is a man of his word. He is personable, honest, reliable, skilled and prompt to reply to inquiries--whether email or phone. I emailed Tommy Tuesday, he called early Wednesday, came on Thursday and completed the work within 2 hours--amazing! He cut down 2 old Bradford Pear trees for me last year for a very reasonable price. This week I had him come and grind down the 2 stumps. Again, a very reasonable price and amazingly quick service. A branch fell off my cedar elm when we were trying to sell our house. I contacted Tommy to fish out the fallen branch and haul it away. The reviews are spot on. Tommy is a no nonsense, shoot from the hip type of guy! He showed up within a couple of hours to assess what we wanted and gave a quote, which was less than another quote I got. The other company gave a hard estimate of what each tree would cost. Tommy said we'll take care what you need. Was curious who would do the better job. We went with Tommy and didn't know what to expect. He's no frills, no uniform, no invoice, but he and his crew showed up first thing when he said he would. They took my direction and cut down some extra stuff if I asked them to, even hauled off a bunch of branches I had in the backyard that they didn't cut. No mention of extra cost, in fact he didn't mention price at all. I gave him what he had first quoted, and got more than I expected. Tommy came to give me a bid on tree work I wanted done around my yard. He didn't give me a written estimate just wanted to keep it verbal with a handshake. Being an older guy (still much younger than me) and, since I have a major flaw of trusting someone with their word, I didn't push for a written contract. (Red Alert) He came the next day, worked about 4 hours and said they needed to go but would be back to finish a fairly sizable amount shortly. Of course he needed 100% of the agreed price to pay his crew. (Red Alert 2) That was last Nov. 2016. Of the several times I have contacted him to get his commitment to be out the next day or so, it still hasn't happened. Last talk he made the comment about how he would have to take the money out of his pocket to pay his crew. Yeah, only not HIS money out of his pocket but MY money out of his pocket. My last contact of him was over a month ago now and I haven't heard more from him. I figure taking him at his word cost me around $350, to be generous. In short, since he gave his word and didn't keep it makes him a liar and, taking my money for work he did not do makes him a thief. I see no reason to try and whitewash the facts. read more

I had a large portion of my tree fall in the front yard on a Saturday last weekend. The part that had fallen was blocking my entire front path to my doorway & 3/4 of my garage. I started calling around for help as I was a prisoner in my home. Not only did he call back within minutes (they were the only company that called back or answered that stated they did 24hour emergency service) but he had someone out there later that day to remove the sections that blocked access to the door & garage. Within minutes he was over & quoted us $250 to trim some very large branches, remove a small dead tree, and remove a couple of large dead bushes. We felt this was an excellent deal. He & his workers were prompt, courteous, & professional. We're also happy to have the work done so quickly, and on a Sunday! We will definitely call him in the future! I couldn't be more pleased with Tommy's Tree Service. I had a big broken limb hanging down from the top of my tree by the bark. It hung down by my neighbors drive-way, and if it let loose, would fall on my neighbors car (neighbor continued to park there). After one service wouldn't return my call, a second service didn't show up and then wouldn't return my call, I called Tommy.
