We had especially unpleasant experiences the last time my husband dropped off dry cleaning. The woman who accepted the items to be cleaned complained that they were dirty. They weren't filthy and it seems that she is missing the purpose of a dry cleaner. Obviously we're bringing in items to get them cleaned. Her attitude was nasty, insulting & demeaning. We've just switched dry cleaners and won't be returning as there are several other dry cleaners in close proximity. Attitude is important when you are running a business for profit. The couple that owns this shop are so friendly and welcoming. I have been coming here for a few years already. As someone who has a very expensive closet, you best believe I make sure I do my due diligence. I've had my coats dry cleaned here and they were able to get the stain out. My white sweater comes back looking brand new. They're able to get collar stains out and more. I've brought in countless pants for a hem job and each one comes back very nicely done. Very technical and clean. They're also very honest people. There was one pair that the lady convinced me to not hem because she believed that it was the perfect length. I'm so glad she did. These guys have been around for a very long time. They told me business is slow and it's been tough. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!!!!! Do whatever you can to keep them going. Truly a great place. Super friendly, inexpensive and they do a great job cleaning my dirty laundry ;-) I bring them all my Canada Goose coats every year and I get them back in brand new condition. This guy will tailor absolutely anything - even your cosplay costume for the anime convention. Yes, I did get some weird looks initially. Yes, I did hand over a skimpy costume with feather. Update on 12/5/18 - I had a coat zipper emergency today. The material got so stuck in the zipper that I couldn't get it zipped up nor down. I called Tom's Cleaners and explained the situation to Billie. She said don't worry, come in tonight and Tom will fix it. Well wait for you. How sweet was that? Long story short, I arrived and Tom got the zipper fixed in minutes, and both Billie and Tom were so very kind to me. I am so happy to have found them, and more importantly I'm proud to call Billie and Tom my friends. Original Review - I've been bringing my pants here to be dry cleaned for almost a year now, and I can honestly say they do a beautiful job. I thought all dry cleaners were the same, but they are not. They come out amazingly crisp and clean. Plus Billie and her husband are the nicest people. They knew I was walking home, so they folded my pants very neatly and placed in a big plastic bag making it easy to carry. Really great business and super nice people. read more

I had several coats in a closet and the closet had moisture so you know what that means--mildew. I needed my coats cleaned so I when on Yelp to find a reputable dry cleaner and came across Tom's Cleaners & Tailor. I had somewhere to go after so I thought that I would call an Uber, go to the cleaners and then head on to my destination. Well, that didn't happen. I went in and explained what happened, the employee said that they don't take items with mildew because the scent won't come out. I guess he thought I was boo boo the fool. Mildew is a common thing that happens, how can you call yourself a reputable dry cleaner and not handle mildew? Give me a break. Trust me, there are worse smells than mildew--I could have come in there with a bag fill with coats that reeked of piss, shit and vomit. I'm sure they would rather mildew. He suggested that I wash my wool coats with woolite--I'm not going to put my peacoats in the washing machine. I also had a leather jacket (now I know leather isn't commonly worn these days but he flat out said that we don't work on leather even though there was a sign in large letters stating that they treat leather. Lastly, he said that he didn't want to contaminate the other clothes because my coats have mildew. Number one, it's mildew not Ebola and number two, you shouldn't be mixing other customer's clothes with mine anyway. It was crystal clear that they just didn't want my business. I wasted a trip because I had to call another Uber to take me home and I wasn't able to make my other engagement, thanks a bunch. I was able to find a cleaners that would do it for me and couldn't understand what the big deal was about the mildew. I wasn't asking for a discount (in fact, I was willing to pay more to make sure the mildew was out). You don't have to worry--I won't even cross the threshold of your racist establishment. read more

I have been to this store twice, and I have been very pleased. The first time I brought in some slacks to be shortened. They did a professional job. The second time I brought in another pair of new pants which I felt needed to be shortened. I tried them on for the nice lady behind the counter. Much to my surprise, the lady convinced me that they should not be shortened because with shoes and/or after washing they would be a good length. Her kindness left a lasting impression. I like the fact that she was so honest and gave advice even though it meant less business for the store. I will definitely bring future business to Tom's Cleaners. read more

This is my worst experience with my clothing cleaning! I brought there my expansive T-shirts to be cleaned. When I got first to the place I checked the ratings of this place it was great. But then after my experience cleaning my clothing at this place really disappointed! The T-shirt were is some black dust and another one was ripped a little as it wasn't before. This is a great find for me in the neighborhood, one that I don't mind the 5 minute drive to get to. My previous cleaner basically did what they wanted instead of listening to how I want things done, and as a result burned a few shirts and messed up a few other items. Tom's was recommended to me by a neighbor so apparently they are not just good for those living right on the same block. When they are unsure about something, they actually take the time to call you and get clarification, rather than just assume they know, like other cleaners. I came to the place because I saw 4 stars on yelp and the only place in my neighborhood. I brought an 1200 dollar suit asking tom if it can dry clean the suit to perfection, he said sure . I walked by this dry cleaners and decided to give it a try. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised by how modern it looked - very clean, designed look! I was greeted by a very friendly lady behind the counter. They did a great job cleaning my coat (i just love how down coats fluff up after a good cleaning) , and I would be happy to go back again and again with more of my clothes. I think their service is impeccable - I would never take my clothes anywhere else!
