After some research, we felt good about calling Terry and the crew and scheduled them to come out for a quote. When we met with Terry to get his vision for a retaining wall; he was friendly and knew what we wanted from the start. He was able to match the brick work that was already pre-existing in the back of our house; which was a plus! Terry and his crew scheduled a time to come out to work on the wall; and they made it look awesome! They made sure to include drainage areas and the tiered looks is just what we wanted for the steep incline in our yard. Not only do we use GLC for our retaining wall, we also use them to treat our yard and do most of the yard work. When we first moved in, our yard was filled with mostly weeds and we had a "grub" problem. Well, with their help, our yard is looking better and the grass is actually green and well taken care of! They do all sorts of treatment throughout the year for us at a decent rate and we are so lucky to have them come out to mow the lawn too! When the crew arrives for lawn service, they get things done pretty quickly and always make sure to clean up after themselves. Overall, we will continue to use GLC and are happy to recommend this company to anyone! We have only had positive experiences with them right from the start. Honestly, I'm not sure if we would use them again, because they charged us over $600 and only spent about two hours on our lawn. They just sort of hacked it all down, and didn't really clean up any of the weeds and grass that were sprayed all over the lawn. We didn't even request mowing and they mowed our lawn with a stand up mower. We explained we didn't want them to mow and hire someone else because our turf cant be mowed with a rotary mower and only with a reel mower and they cut things down we didn't agree too. This was the worst experience we've ever had with a company. The documented facts contradict this: Time Discrepancy: Our continuous home surveillance footage confirms the two-man crew was on our property for a total of 1 hour and 57 minutes. This mathematically equates to an egregious hourly rate of over $300/hour for the time delivered. Unjustified Charges: The husband offered complimentary weed spraying, stating his chemicals were stronger than ours, and confirmed this was not part of the $600 labor charge. Required Repair: The work was so incomplete and poorly executed that we were left with damaged and neglected areas. We secured a professional quote from a reputable landscaping company totaling $2,080.00 to properly fix and complete the job. No Communication: When presented with the video evidence and the request for a resolution, the business ceased all communication, failing to provide the promised 'before and after' photos and ignoring multiple deadlines. We are now pursuing legal action for the full refund and documented damages totaling over $1500.00!!!
