We moved into our house a couple years ago and decided that it was time to fix a stone wall part of which had fallen down. When Timberline came out to look at it, they didn't call ahead of time. My wife wasn't home and this was her project . Several weeks later we were on vacation and we get a text from a neighbor tells us that there were some workers in our backyard. Oh - they came a week sooner than they told us they would. What the heck?! We come back and the wall looks not very good. This was not really their fault. Apparently the material in that part of the wall was different from the other part of the wall. If we were there while they were working we could have problem solved with them - maybe get some new material. But they did it when we weren't there, so that wasn't an option. And to top it off, they dumped some of the old wall over our fence, And dumped some gravel in our front yard. They did send someone out after we complained and gave us a small credit. Small solace. We have crappy looking wall. Very unprofessional company. read more

Set up a contract to clean up and maintain our beds. Payments were to begin in March. They didn't show up until May after several requests. They trimmed bushes rather poorly and mulched beds. The excuse for not showing up earlier was poor weather. They continued to pester us for payment. Told them I didn't feel it was fair to pay for something we have not received. They showed up and used a weed whip to remove weeds. Looked ok but knew the weeds would return. Contacted Shannon to meet with me. She was pleasant. I explained to here that I was not pleased. Beds needed to be hand weeded to be effective. She said poison ivy would require weed killer. Showed here where crew had used weed killer on a prior visit and killed the ground cover as well as the honeysuckle bushes. Told her that if they had been on site earlier they could have hand pulled them . They returned once again and weed whipped again. Didn't remove the dead honeysuckle. They have agreed to visit twice a month to get caught up but not sure if I want them unsupervised working in our yard. read more

My wife and I needed our 1958 brick sidewalk re-done, so Brian and team made the recommendation to use the existing bricks with a new foundation and the results were great. Timberline also installed a new retaining wall and large stone steps off the driveway - everything complimented the house and each other. We recommend. read more

We are very pleased with Timberline, especially since the first landscape company hung up on us when they found out we were going to be less than $10,000 in business for them. Timberline built stone walls around 3 of our garden beds, cutting the stones to fit so you get a sense of craftmanship whenever you look at our walls. They even did some last minute tweaks for us. Excellent company. The only landscaper willing to come to our home and give us a quote in person. Lovely design, and Lee Lamp was willing to change it around for us to meet our specification. The actual workers on the job were the nicest people, clean and efficient. Our backyard is 1000% improved. HIRE THIS company. Very unprofessional company and unreliable! I had an appointment scheduled to take a look at our back yard and figure out some ideas of what we could do to clean it up and improve it. The appointment was scheduled for 5:30pm. The guy (Lee) didn't even show up until 6:10pm...no call to let us know he would be late. To make matters worse, when he did show up, there was no apology whatsoever. He didn't even care. Super unprofessional! We proceeded to the backyard (even though I felt like telling him to just go home because I was no longer interested in his services at that point). We talked about some things we wanted to see done in our backyard and how we wanted to keep the price reasonable. The whole time, he was just standing there with a stupid look on his face not offering much help. The bottom line came down to the fact that this company only wants to cater to rich people, and since we weren't willing to spend an arm and a leg for landscaping cleanup, he didn't want anything to do with us. I couldn't believe it! What a stuck-up jerk! At the end of the appointment, he said he'd speak with his maintenance crew and see what they'd do for us and let us know either way. That was a flat out lie because he already knew he didn't want our business because we weren't rich. No surprise to me, he never got back to me like he promised. Also, after I waited 30 mins for him to show up, I decided to call the company and ask what was going on. I left a message explaining the situation, so I expected a call the next day from a manager to apologize for their employee's unprofessional behavior, but it never happened. Haven't heard back from them since the awful appointment. This is a terrible company that is poorly run. The best way to keep yourself in business is by referral and word of mouth. Not only will I never recommend this company to anyone I know, I will tell everyone what a poor experience I had. read more

Timberline just finished landscaping our front yard last week, and we are very happy with the outcome. We were given detailed plans and were able to change some of the plants during the proposal period. Our project could be considered on the smaller side, but the crew took the time to address any concerns or questions that we had. We had bushes, small trees, railroad ties and a concrete planter ripped out before Timberline installed a new curved stone wall and plants. We were told how to care for the plants and the crew did a good job with clean up. read more

We recently had a 7ft x 14ft patio with retaining wall built in our backyard and it looks beautiful! The crew were excellent, professional, friendly and cleaned up their work area. I can't say enough good things about this company. Brent was also amazing and provided a detailed plan, layout and was able to keep the production cost to well within our range. I was looking for someone that really knew what they were doing when it comes to landscaping. I was not just looking for someone with a strong back to throw block. I needed three distinct task completed for my back yard. I have a walk-in basement and a deck. The area under the deck was always wet. I needed my yard drainage fixed, a rotten railroad tie wall replaced with a block wall and either concrete poured or a paver patio installed. I interviewed 7 or 8 contractors. Timberline suggested ideas and entertained my ideas as well. They promptly got back with me with a Cad Design of what my yard would look like and a quote. We discussed a few changes and they made them and got started. They were professional from beginning to end. The finished product was awesome and something to be proud of. My only suggestion is to book them early because they get busy. I recommend them highly. read more

They have done 3-4 projects for me, including completely regrading my back yard, removing a bamboo infestation, designing rain gardens and my front yard beds.
