I was misled with the terms of my service contract with pricing and the number of visits, so chose…read moreto terminate the contract early. The contract clearly shows I would be billed every other month, but then was getting billed monthly and was told it was because they determined they needed to make monthly visits and not bimonthly. After terminating the contract I was told that I would still have a one year warranty from the date of termination. A home inspection found that they had never even addresses my attic space on their consultation or any following service visits, and that there were mice in my attic. I asked that they make a visit under warranty since they didn't do their job to begin with and missed a huge area of my house, and they refused. The tech that came to my house was great, that's the only good thing. Otherwise their customer service, value, and ethics are absolutely awful. Do yourself a favor and save your money and use someone else.

Echo does a great job getting their quarterly spraying in. I told them I heard scratching in the…read moreattic (last year). The original guy said we had one bat dropping but it was very old. Heard scratching again. The second guy they sent out set up mouse triangle houses and said we had some mouse droppings. I asked them where are they coming in. They set more traps in the garage and around the house. Told Echo I heard scratching again. They sent a guy out who just sprayed. I told them to send someone else out to check our attic. They did, the boss, who now tells me he saw no mice droppings, only bat droppings. I will never use them again. The person that came out must not have had experience in bat droppings and set mouse traps. I am so angry because this was months ago. Now I have to get a bat exterminator because they don't do bats. I really would not recommend them at all. Not only that but if you are getting mice in your attic (I think now I have more knowledge), bats could probably fit through the same hole as a mice. Grrr! I am praying it is not an infestation.

We've had these clowns come in and cause damages to a kitchen drain cleanout before and then high-tail it out without unclogging a simple blockage. Needless to say I wasn't thrilled nor did I have very high hopes for our water heater to be replaced. Well, my assumptions were correct. Next thing I know I'm being told I will be on the hook for an extra $1200 for a bunch of unrelated BS they couldn't even properly explain. On top of that they basically want me to pull the old water heater out myself. Don't trust these guys! American Home Shield is notoriously hard to deal with as a service provider, I get it. But how hard is it to just do a simple job?
