Stephanie helped me define my fitness goals, and then she put together a program that she tracks to ensure I am progressing. She is a positive and enthusiastic coach with endless new ideas for workouts. The gym itself is well-equipped and feels like a genuine place to work out, as opposed to an Equinox, which seems overly manicured for a gym. Q-Performance is a great place to train, and the members seem serious and courteous. When you walk in, it instantly feels like you are transported into a Rocky or Creed movie with the energy S&S brings. It is so easy to lock in and focus on your workout because you are surrounded by so many like minded people who are there to do the exact same thing. It seems like we all have one goal in mind and that is to be the best and strongest version of ourselves. The staff is super friendly, the members are always willing to lend you a hand racking weights or correcting your form without feeling like you're an idiot for doing it incorrectly in the first place haha, and the owners are so nice and knowledgeable - you can tell they really care about this space and it's members. Their membership is high if you compare it to other places in the area that offer the same exact, and even better, classes - at the time I joined, I did not know the Wayne Community Center offered those, and I wish I had because they charge 50% less than Spa23 and have amazing trainers. In all honesty, I'm disappointed at how they handled my last billing. I had decided to set up personal training sessions with a trainer named Ricky, I trusted him and my mistake was not asking questions when we sat down to sign the contract, however, as an employee, he should've made sure I understood what I was signing - he did not explain what his rates were, nor how much I'd be billed for the month, so they billed me $212! I had already moved and canceled my membership with them, but they still billed my account. The person that reached out to me to explain the situation was nice, but no resolution was given - I'm now 45 minutes from Spa23, my money was never refunded, and credits for a different service can't be given. I know people who had gone to Spa23 and ended up leaving, both trainers and members, due to their dislike of it and how much of a "chain management" it had, but I truly didn't think I'd experience that firsthand.

NOPE. Still a significant difference in temperature when you go into the cardio area, probably 20 to 25 degrees warmer than everywhere else.. Its almost tropical. It stinks because rest of gym is quite comfortable, nice and cool. Why wouldn't they invest in some ceiling fans to circulate the air at least?? at the rates they charge? when I joined my current gym I made a comment about the temps there as well... about a week or 2 later, they went and installed fans in every corner of the gym to circulate the air. I was impressed. My current gym is much smaller, their fees are more than half of Spa 23, and they are 24/7 which is huge for me, and its nice and cool. Their treadmills even have little fans built in which are pretty strong. So I will not be returning here... too bad, they're equipment is pretty impressive.

That is the only reason to knock off a star from my rating. Overall, love this gym. It's always clean. Equipment is always working and in its place. Definitely recommend.

The facility is immaculately clean, open and airy. The trainers are all friendly and professional, as are the owners/managers, Frank and Francesca Pucher. There is plenty of equipment (cardio, resistance training, etc) and it is laid out in in such a way that multiple clients can be working out with trainers or independently while a group class is going on, without anyone feeling crowded. The overall vibe is of people who are there to be healthy and to work while also having fun!

Fitness 121 is a friendly, upscale (but far from stuffy) facility where everybody knows your name. The attitude there is so much more about how you feel than how you look. They teach you exercises that prepare you for life, not just to make your pecs and biceps look better (although, that's an added bonus!). Shoveling snow never felt better. I didn't even throw my back out this year thanks to their training techniques. The clientelle there is mostly ranging in age from low 40's to low 60's, but since some of the trainers are former camp counselors, I have actually had my 8 year old training there as well. It's been a great confidence booster! i can't say enough about the friendly atmosphere, the trainers are always smiling, and even the ones who don't work with you go out of their way to get to know at least who you are. I started there 2 years ago weight 240 lbs, and now, at 41 years old, I'm now in the best shape of my life thanks to them.
