Dr. Jing Tong has been my gastroenterologist for many years. I have had my regular colonoscopy done by him every 5 years without fail. His clinic is modern, clean and well equipped. My procedures were done with absolutely no pain or side effects. The care he provides is top notch, his staff is efficient and friendly and he takes time to answer all your questions and concerns. Dr has horrible bedside manner. Does not take time to discuss anything after procedure. Hes all about money, makes you return to office just to give prescriotion for procedure even though he saw mom week before . And when she went in he did not even evaluate her. His front staff is rude and inefficient. Made me go to office to pick up slides even though moms radiologist sent pre paid fedex envelope to mail to them. When i went up to office , the lady said it was not her job!!! First time i ever heard such nonsense. The dr came and and said they do send things at other md requests. When i asked him why she said that, he turned away and continued about his business. Meanwhile my mothers radiation treatment for cancer was being stalled because they were holding up the process. if you want to get treated and not just being send for colonoscopy just because they can make money from you... pleas stay away form this place! the reviews about this doctor seems to be fake. all we saw there were people complaining about how it was waste of time and money. he will give you antibiotics without explaining the reason and what is the cause for the pain and will rush you for colonoscopy. if you try asking what's the cause, you wont get any definate answers. you call him in excruciating pain to asking what do, the response you will get is "doctor is busy call later" and when you get to him after hours of trying "we dint kind anything in colonoscopy, i dont know" . again please stay away dont get attracted by the reviews and availability, there is a reason no one goes there. save money save time, get treated by a proper doctor. read more

Dr Jing is knowledgeable and professional. The staff is warm and the office is comfortable and clean. IME the wait was not long and after an uneventful colonoscopy they give you a sandwich to eat along with an illustrated report and explanation. Edit: odd that the review says I'm in San Francisco. Went in with the worst abdominal pain of my life only to experience the most cold hearted and rude doctor who only wants your money. If you value your life, stay away from him. I came here because I saw the amazing reviews he had -- FAKE!! (I won't be surprised if this review gets deleted). Went in for Colonscopy, which was fine but the doctor himself will give you no diagnosis or insight or any information about what is wrong with you. He just wants to put you on pills, which that too, he is unsure about and provides no insight as to why you need to take them. You will never find out the root cause of your problems. Another patient was there who was also screaming at the doctor because he wouldn't explain why he is putting them on pills and also doctor was refusing to give them a copy of their results. How ridiculous is that? You pay to not even get your results. He ending up blaming ME and verbally attacking my S/O who was trying to defend my case. He was rudely telling me how my pain can be from lots of random unknown reasons and he doesn't know what's wrong with me even after a Colonscopy and a Biopsy. Isn't he supposed to be specialized in this?! The worst thing probably was when I was at work and in excruciating pain so I called him, only to hear the front desk tell me that he is busy with meetings ALL day and unable to talk to me. I literally was crying on the phone, BEGGING to speak to the doctor because I didn't know if I should go to the ER or not. Finally I call back an hour later only to have front desk tell me the same thing. They finally put him on the phone and he coldly says "what happened." And "I don't know what I'm supposed to do for you". And "Maybe go to a gynocologolst (wow). It is up yo you what you want to do". STAY AWAY FROM DR. TONG JING. I have never written a review in my entire life and felt so strongly to write this one in order to potentially save someone's life. AVOID!!! GO TO A GOOD DOC IN THE CITY. BEWARE this doctor preys on the elderly who cannot speak English. i am surprised his license was not revoked by the board yet but it is understandable since majority of his patients are non-English speakers who he probably knows will not report him. Most doctors want to help their patient, and some just want your money. He wants your money and does not care at all what happens to his patient. read more

Don't go here. A complete sham and an arrogant doctor to top it off. My grandpa was referred to this guy for a surgery that ultimately became the worst experience of his life. Not only was the surgery unsuccessful, the doctor had talked himself up saying it was a simple procedure, other doctors aren't as good as he is and even forced an endoscopy despite my grandpa having had one done recently. He had given absolutely NO details about the procedure or even the results to my grandpa... (he literally had to hear it from my grandma). My grandparents were also told to make sure they get to the hospital early for the surgery and the doctor, himself, ended up being half an hour late... really? The surgery was scheduled for 11:30... his nurse said he was still in his office (which is a 15 minute drive away) at 11:40. The worst part about all this is that the surgery wasn't even successful - so not only did my grandpa just get put through a physical trauma on his body... including the aftermath / side effects of the surgery... he was so emotionally distraught he couldn't sleep or eat anything. The nurse followed up the next day, and when my grandma told her it was the worst experience he's been put through and they're extremely dissatisfied with the entire procedure, she said the doctor would call later to discuss. Dr. Jing is few in words, but definitive in action. Let me elaborate a little. I went to see him after few months of stomach ache. The pain was there no matter if I ate or not. I went to see him at friend's recommendation. He listened to my complaint and then asked me to do endoscopy. I was not sure about that but went along. After the endoscopy I returned in one week for result. It turned out to be some stomach bacteria that cause the pain. He prescribed antibiotics for two weeks and asked me to return in one month to do breath test. And test is negative for bacteria. More importantly the stomach pain seems to have subsided. Throughout the few encounters with Dr. Jing, though not very talkative, he was down to the point, and know what he was doing. He took care of my problem. On top of that his clinic is modern, clean and staffs are very friendly and efficient. Endoscopy was done under anesthesia which is very comfortable. All in all this is a clinic that I can count on when comes to digestive system problem. read more

Excellent service and a nice new clinic. Went in with a horrible abdominal pain, but the front desk ladies were nice enough to place me into Dr. Jing's office ahead of schedule. Dr. Jing then speedily prescribed me medicines that helped my pain subside right away. Would recommend, next time I need a gastroenterology check, I will definitely go to Dr. Jing again! read more

Do not go here! My grandpa underwent a procedure with Dr. Ding and had the worst experience ever. Upon the visit at the initial consultation, not only did Dr. Ding had my grandpa redo tests that was performed recently, he had also informed my grandpa the surgery is a simple low risk procedure. He also badmouth another MD and that he was the best doctor in his field for this procedure. My grandpa left the house at 9.30AM (the hospital is only 10 min away) and returned after 4PM. He was not allow to eat or drink after midnight and was not able to take any of his medications all day. The doctor was late for the surgery even though he told my grandpa to arrive early for pre-surgical preparations. My grandpa had an IV on his arm for sedation and an endoscope through his throat. After all the talk the doctor gave, the surgery not successful. My grandpa was so distraught and the stress left on his body made it very difficult for the next day. He had a lot of discomfort in his throat and abdominal area which left him with no sleep and affected his daily activities. My grandma was given discharge instructions and made a complaint to the nurse also requesting a call back from Dr. Ding. On top of everything that happened, Dr. Ding forced this procedure on him. My grandpa told Dr. Ding he wanted to discuss it with his family first. Instead, the doctor responded saying his surgery time is very tight with other surgeriesand told him when to report to the hospital. Come as no surprise, the doctor did not call. This doctor is not even worth my rant right now. I just want to give a warning to all families who are planning and know of people who has this doctor as a surgeon, to please do your research and i think you will see that a lot of reviews will direct you to a man who has a doctors degree, but is narcissistic (does not admit that he failed in a surgery that he said was "simple"), incompetent (lack of understanding and refusal to directly converse and explain procedure and results to the patient and family), and lack of empty and remorse for the patience's family that is currently in some much distress through the pain, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Never had I've seen my grandfather in so much pain ... never have I seen my grandmother cry so hard watching my grandfather suffer all this ... just so he can live. I can understand that sometimes you can not predict the outcome, however, this doctors lack of responsibility, lack of information, and lack of understanding has upset a lot of people. I think its safe to say that he does not deserve to be called a doctor, if he does even have remorse and understanding how important his job is to millions of families and how is actions (dodging phone calls, misinformed the family, and even refusal to speak about the procedure) in how he just used us, and is taking other clients, makes me sick. read more
