    Let me start off by saying I work out. I lift 3-4 times a week consistently and have taken many workout classes. Went the for the TRX/WeckMethod/RIP Training workout. I was pretty unfamiliar with the tools we used, but Tony was really good with getting me to understand how to do the exercises and movements. You use your WHOLE body in this workout. The philosophy isn't about splitting up body parts as much as it is about using each muscle group TOGETHER to create movement and a challenge. I think my body likes this more than "back and bis" and "leg day". I'll definitely be coming back for more and highly recommend for people looking for a different workout.

Even when they "lie" to you in the best possible way to keep you pushing forward to get the most out of your 30 minute session. (Which if truth be told is about 12-15 minutes) and time for a quick nap in the massage chair at the end. And you can still get in and out in the time it takes you just to get your warm up done at a conventional gym. They are so accommodating when your schedule changes at the last minute, always quick to respond to texts and emails. They are always welcome to feedback and the monthly scans really show an accurate representation of your improvement.

They're all well trained themselves and help you feel comfortable in the setting. They body scan feature here is great for keeping track of personal progress! This is not your typical gym, and for this, I love it so much. Check out their website for information on the way the machines work. You don't have to put the mental time into the workout as you would in a typical gym. I joined Lean Dog at the start of March 2023, after a year and a half of a new desk job - my first time ever sitting for 8hrs a day for work. I'm an athlete by nature and previous training, so this felt like dying! My husband ended up hearing about Lean Dog, and went for about a month before I was able to join. With 30 minute trainer based sessions, on machines that I didn't have to think hard to use, I knew it fit my needs for quick recovery. I worked the time slots into my schedule with ease, though they're great about working with your time. By the end of month one, my physical performance had increased remarkably! Being able to see your progress in real time is cool. I was sleeping better/feeling better overall. I finally feel like I'm not going backwards. I had to pause my membership a bit into month two due to my schedule changing/financial needs changing, but I look forward to my next sessions. The strength and reliability I have back in my body is so great! I have to add that, after training on my own as well, the gains I have in things like running after two months here was immense - better than I have had in years. Lean Dog's recovery program is the best part of this gym. The trainers are all wonderful - Rachel, Nate, and Mike were my main trainers- and they were able to help me push past my mental limits, and get a better push to fatigue! Every trainer I had time with kept a firm focus on form, and made sure I wasn't compromising anywhere or causing myself pain. I feel better than ever and can't wait to go back. Each machine is really incredible, and takes all the thinking out of working out (a bit complex to explain in a review - just go see yourself), which was huge for me coming back to it after so long off. Now, I feel confident again in my workouts in and out of the gym! Love y'all and wish you lovely days ahead with many gains!

If I don't feel strongly one way or the other I don't generally review. I started training with Blake a little over a year ago and haven't looked back. I found him by initially checking Yelp reviews and proximity to my apt. - I wanted a recipe for success meaning someone to hold me accountable, train me, but also make it so I would want to keep going back. I emailed Blake for a trial workout and the rest is history. My goal initially was to learn how to use weights and a weight room so I wouldn't feel intimated at the gym. Through my experience I've gained this confidence in the weight room, along with double digit % weight loss, and also a strong and aesthetic physique. My posture is better, my skin is better, my endurance is better...the list goes on. Blake's philosophy is coaching the whole package. He's super knowledgeable, and walks the walk. I wouldn't trust a trainer that didn't look the part - if you're going to tell me to do something, have you done it? What was your experience like? Pitfalls? Blake truly has the knowledge. He's super personable too. Training goes by quickly but we pack a lot in. What sets Blake apart is he's genuinely interested in helping you become the best version of yourself. This is your physical strength, but he's there to motivate you along the way with other life goals too. You're leveling up when you train with Blake.

    Karina is special…read more I've had the fortune of working with a number of incredible trainers in my life, but when I leave my sessions with Karina it doesn't just feel like I've gotten a great workout, it feels like I've grown as a student of fitness and as a human being. She is incredibly embodied as has radically improved my body awareness and proprioception. My workouts have transformed from vague major-muscle exercises to specific activation of key muscle fibers critical for aesthetic. I literally have more control over my muscle activation which translates to better results with less time in the gym. I used to think health and fitness correlated just with time in the gym; Karina has helped me realize and execute on maximizing the quality of that time in the gym.
