I am certain at some point I will have more effusive things to say but for now, know that when I walked into Dr. Tony's office today for my first visit, I was broken in more ways than I care to enumerate or expound upon. When I left after my appointment I was at peace for the first time in weeks. Much of my pain was gone or diminished - not all of it because we have work to do but a significant amount of it - and my mood was transformed. Dr. Tony is unorthodox, yes, but his unorthodoxy is what makes him exceptional. He has a vast array of knowledge and skills to address patients' needs and tailors his treatment to each person. When I was with him, he was very present and took great care to ensure I was comfortable with everything from the room temperature to locations of acupuncture needles to positioning on the chiropractic table. Dr. Tony is the best! The office in their home is very well equipped and super professional. It's the entire lower level and has its own entrance, so don't be sketched! The music he plays rocks too. Tony is not just a chiropractor. He does great body work with lots of different techniques. I've done acupuncture, deep (ouch) massage, adjustments and then some with him to deal with persistent upper back, shoulder and neck pain. He got me right in about 4 treatments, and his goal is to get you healed and out of there, not keep you coming back forever. Stop it. Just stop what you are doing and IMMEDIATELY go see Dr. Peters. Whatever is bothering you, hurting, pinching, or aching - he will fix. I work in Ballantyne so when I first started seeing Dr. Peters, I wasn't able to go too often. Then I saw that his office is open until 7 pm on Tuesdays and usually one Saturday each month - SHUT UP. Now it's so easy for me to get in a weekly adjustment if I feel like I need it! I've gone to several other chiropractors, but none have really been able to compare to how great Dr. Peters is at what he does. And it's not just skeletal manipulation - he also does trigger point therapy, accupuncture, and general mashing of your muscles if that's what you need. In fact, the focus of our last few sessions has been on my feet and calf muscles in hopes that it won't hurt so freaking much when I go jogging. Or is it yogging, with a soft j? As someone who is active 5-6 days per week, it's a welcome relief to go to a chiropractor who doesn't try to tell me to stop doing certain activities like CrossFit or spinning (like others in the past have said). In fact, I think he's the official chiropractor for the Charlotte Roller Girls, and you know they get all out of sorts in that sport! Go see Dr. Peters - you'll be very happy you did! read more

I don't know where all these good reviews are coming from, but my experience at Dr Tony Peters was much less that stellar. I used a living social I bought for a massage. This was the worst massage I have ever had-- days later my back was still soar. I felt like I couldn't even stand I was in so much pain. Plus, the music is booming outside of the massage room. You can't really relax when you constantly hear the bass rhythm in the background. Lastly, the place is just sketchy. It is in a weird area, the place isn't really designed/ set up like a chiropracter's office AND there was a 311 poster of the ceiling. My overall reccomendation, just go somewhere else. Go somewhere else for your massage and for your chiropractic needs. read more

I have always suffered from back and neck pain, creating a curve in my posture and a stiffness that was unmanageable. I have been seeing Tony for a few months and can stand up straight! Dr. Peters is wonderful. He is our team chiropractor and he takes such good care of us. No matter what part of my body is hurting he is always successful at relieving at least some of the pain. I recommend that you come prepared to be worked on with some force. I have a lot of neck and shoulder issues from playing roller derby and he can bring me to tears when he is working on me, but I am thankful for it. He is the only chiropractor who has ever successfully moved and loosen my worse knots. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I've seen Tony a few times for problems in my hips and shoulders. I live a very active lifestyle and sometimes go overboard. Whenever things aren't right or getting out of whack, I go see Tony. He is awesome! Dr. Peters is great! I saw him monthly for adjustments while I was playing roller derby. He always helped work out the problems I was creating for myself when I was skating, falling and hitting! I also saw him when I had a severe case of sciatica while pregnant. I could not stand up straight, could not even sit in a chair and could not walk without holding onto a walker or another person. There were even moments where I couldn't move my legs at all. I was in severe pain for two weeks. I saw my OBGYN and a spine specialist multiple times before calling Dr. Peters. I should have called him first! He got me in right away. After one acupuncture visit I was standing a little straighter and had greater mobility. After the second visit I could actually walk a little without the walker. Soon all of my symptoms went away and thankfully stayed away for the rest of the pregnancy. Dr Tony Peters and I met several months ago. During these past months, I have been to his clinic numerous times where I have had the opportunity to receive and observe his chiropractic gifts. After spending the night in a tent with a horrendous headache, I decided to treat myself to 'back candy'.
