I dropped my vehicle off while I was going out of town. When I returned, the car was not ready yet, as I had hoped to get it straight from the airport. I was thankful that they sent an Uber to take me back to the shop when the car was ready because I do not live close. It was only convenient to drop it there because it's not too far from IAH. A second mechanic and 3rd at muffler shop later confirmed the installed converter appears to be a generic unit that may not be sufficient for this vehicle. I had to replace the installed one again with the proper one and pay additional $500, I tried contacting the business for follow-up but did not receive a response. I am sharing my experience so others are aware. I do not recommend using him.

When my car needed immediate attention AAA asked if I wanted a AAA certified shop to handle my…read moreneeds. I immediately said yes. When the tow truck took me and my car to this shop it was just not the best looking place. In the emergency I was in I let it go and called them the next day. The owner told me what was wrong and I was happy with the fact that he seemed to know what he was doing. So far so good. Fast forward 2 1/2 months and several calls that he made up excuses to not have my car ready I seriously knew the value of this location was poor. He would yell over the phone to me about my needs of my car. He would make excuses to me about why the parts weren't ready. He would cover over and over. Horrible service. I told him to put my car back together and I would tow it to the dealership. The dealership calls me and says "do you know you have transmission gears in the back of your car?" And I was floored. Champions Certified Car Care is not a place to go to for help. He kept making excuses because he didn't know how to fix my car and left gears in the back of my car. When the dealer called him and asked "why didn't you just tell him he needed a new transmission" the owner said "well I thought of that". Avoid this place!!!! Avoid it at all costs. Just go to your dealer. Pay the extra cost for the parts and get a warranty and peace of mind. I talked with AAA to get his AAA rating removed because nobody should go through this ever. On top of it all he said he wouldn't release my vehicle if I didn't pay $150 for a diagnostic fee when the law clearly states he can't hold a vehicle for longer than 60 days.
