I loved this bar! The drinks are cheap and strong. The atmosphere is very electric. The bartenders were nice. The dancers are friendly. They walked around talking to the customers. I went to TCP for the first time last night, and had a great time. The employees made themselves very available, and were super friendly. The owner greeted me at the door, and was so gracious all evening. His bartenders pour strong drinks so I felt like I was getting a great value, and his DJ was great to talk to. This has to be one of Houston's hidden gems. My partner and were a little skeptical coming to this place, but we are glad we did. This place is awesome and the atmosphere is very laid back. The place is clean and the drinks are amazing. The bartender there, Chris, was awesome. He was friendly, respectful and courteous. He gave great drink recommendations. The drinks this guy made were some of the best I have ever had, and that is says my something given the fact I have traveled extensively. He introduced to this drink/shot that tastes exactly like a Starbucks coffee. The only downside is there were no dancers and there was one bartender for the whole place. The bartender that was there made up that. We will definitely be adding this place to our regular list of places to have a drink. We will be back very soon. read more

I have been in Houston some 15 months now,, I've been to Tony's several time.. the place is filthy. The drag hostess's are ok.. the drug use in the electrical room just off the stage area should stop. the strippers are mostly snobs... they are young guys so maybe thats why they act the way they do. I usually tip them $5.00 at a time not $1's. I have been ignored most nite that i'm there.. The strippers girl friends shoudl NOT be allowed in the bar while the strippers are working..they are working its not a time for Date nite with their GF..its a business not a drug den.. There is 1 bartender that works the main bar , he has body tatt, he is not at all focused on the customers.. there have been times, like last nite 6/6/15 where I stood there for more than 15 minutes with money in hand and he was to focused on him having a good time and not serving the patrons.... then when I went to the back bar inside the bar tender didn't give me back the correct change ..he kept some for himself..not cool. as I am usually a 30% tipper..his loss. I cant really recommend this place.. it could be awesome ..they need a real manager to go in there and shake things up.. I think the Drag queens run the Bar... I have NEVER seen any one that looks like they are in charge.. THE DRUG USE NEEDS TO STOP. read more

My friend and I went last Friday night . When he tried to sign up for the dance contest he was told he was too late . Shortly after that another dancer was able to sign up . I believe it was because he's black . There was not a single black dancer that night . I've been told that the owner only likes Latin or white dancers. I think 50 black dancers should show up to sign up to dance every weekend night . read more

This is an ok place. I've had fun there, and I've not had fun there. The outside deck has a great view of down town. I'd say the prices are comparable with other bars in the same category (EJ's, 611). The dancers are cute, all Hispanic and mostly straight. I notice that they bring their girl friends (or groupies) and if there are women in the crowd, they seem to get most of the attention. definitely a place where regulars, regular. read more

I was attacked by one of the strippers tonight . He said I bumped into him. He waited for me outside of the bar and wanted to fight me. Very aggressive. I called 911 and they took my report. The owner Tony came and apologized and said the guy worked with him for years and that it wouldn't happen again. So random and violent. But I support gay bars so hopefully they correct the issue. read more

Went to Corner Pocket last night was within walking distance from downtown did not know what to expect Slow as it was Monday but bartender Jordan was a complete pro !!!! engaged me, got me talking to other regulars and made me feel like a regular for an off night had a good time plus enjoyed being paid attention to. I really enjoy spending the evening with my pals at TCP. The bartenders are just a little heavy handed with the booze, which are a great price regardless of what kind of bar this is. The dancers are all quite friendly, if mostly and obviously straight. I have never felt pressure to tip anyone, and have always felt a lot of gratitude when I do. Some of the guys are too macho for the atmosphere, but most of them are really nice. The music ranges from speaker-breaking bass to disco and back again. The drag queen hostesses try really hard to impress, and are extremely easy to approach. Everyone is made to feel like a family here. read more

I really like Tony's and always have a blast here. I am also a member of Houston Firedancers and this is where we call our home away from home or in the sub culture our 'Home Bar" hangout. We bartend every second Sunday in the month and Tony rolls out the red carpet for us and people that come to enjoy the experience. Otherwise, very friendly bartenders that greet each customer with a unique style to make everyone feel at home. Tony, the owner, is an avid community supporter and pushes for events that raise awareness and some very good fundraisers for causes especially those dealing with providing food for people living with HIV/AIDS. By the way, the multitiered patio is the bomb and constantly changing so if you miss a week there it will be different and improved by your next visit. Dollar Vodka Drinks on Sunday's and other specials throughout the week and weekend. With a great view of Downtown Houston, this is the place to be to relax and enjoy the other sites also. read more

Omg I Love Tony's. I'm a straight female I went on a Thur with my cousin for him to see the Gay nightlife in Houston. Thur left an impression so i had to go Fri night. The bartenders are awesome so cute & nice & funny. Chris at the outside bar is the best, great customer service.Half naked male strippers were so fun & entertaining there were some hot ones. the host Ann Marie Gail was hilarious loved her. Very nice gay bar I must say the 1st one i went to in Houston. its really laid back. the customers are very nice & friendly you will meet a lot of people. Rude staff make this place not worth even trying out - there are similar clubs in other cities but they are run much better and don't mistreat patrons. Some of them try to do a good job but the majority of them are terrible. Just as an example, the bartenders scream at 2 am at all the people waiting for cabs and Ubers. I've seen people treated badly after they get sick from the drinks, but comes with being a bar, so why would you mistreat people like that? read more

Yes, I've been to Tony's. It's fun. Not pretentious and definitely not flashy - unless of course you are talking about the strippers. For some, the party starts at the beginning of the night here for others after they have gone to all the other places. Either way, I've always had a good time. I just wear my sunglasses when I walk in. Not too sure how I look when I walk out. I love the bartenders! read more

went their to play pool and have a drink....the pool table is i the corner so close to the wall you can't shoot they pushed so far the light above is not even over the table.....the floor was so sticky and nasty....bar tenders didn't do anything but shout FUCK over and over....the smell in there was so bad and so rank had to keep going out for fresh air...all in all it has a drunk for an owner and it shows... read more
