When your in a diffrent state dont know anyone and a woman car shops can be a horror. This was not the case. I would highly recomend this establishment. I would go out of my way to go here.....except out of my way is 2000 miles I recomend this establishment to locals. Very clean and sanitary not your typical car shop. Dave is the most honest mechanic I have come across in 25 years. I first brought my Corolla to the…read moreToyota dealership for its 60k mi maintenance. To my surprise, they wanted $1417. The largest cost was the transmission flush for $978. They added a four-wheel alignment service for $157 that Discount Transmission Center didn't charge me for at all. Toyota also said I need to have my evap core cleaner done for $97 and Dave explained that was just an upsell and was not necessary. I'm so glad I did not get my service at Toyota but I was recommend to speak with Dave at Discount Transmission Center aka DT Automotive Services . He performed all the same services Toyota was offering. He also added a service to do a coolant flush for my radiator that he recommends every 50k miles. I brought my paperwork from Toyota with everything they said they checked as needing service. Dave looked over all the same things Toyota inspected, so he can feel confident I was getting the correct maintenance. Dave said the total cost was $392.14. I wanted to cry because it was a huge savings. Praise God for mechanics that can still be trusted, regardless of your knowledge with vehicles. I completely recommend this shop for anybody and they have made a new long-term customer for life along with everyone I recommend. I'm also going to be putting a complaint in to Toyota about their representative trying to rip me off as a single female.

My wife and I brought our 2005 F-150 King Ranch to his shop for a transmission rebuild. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into 7 weeks of repeated problems and FIVE separate tows back to his shop for continued repairs to the very transmission his shop rebuilt. The truck is now completely inoperable. Initially, the shop failed to replace the valve body. From there, the truck repeatedly came back with more problems than it had before. Every time we picked it up, Dave assured us, "You're golden." Unfortunately, those assurances meant very little when the repairs repeatedly lasted less than three days before the truck began severely malfunctioning again. After seven weeks, countless headaches, and multiple breakdowns, we were left with a truck that still doesn't run properly. Despite everything we went through, Dave refused to provide a refund, leaving us with no choice but to pursue the matter through the courts. This has cost us significant time, money, and frustration. A reputable shop should stand behind its work and take responsibility when repeated repairs fail. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle somewhere else. Save yourself the time, money, and headache we've experienced. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

I'm assuming that he did not like when I questioned his knowledge or the fact that he's NOT insured......I don't understand how he can be doing business in this state without insurance.....

I had the truck fixed here and it was completed within the timeframe that Ty mentioned. The sticker for a transmission rebuilt was a shock but it was inline with other quotes that I received. Ty was very nice when I came to pick up the truck, shook my hand with a smile...small things like this matters to me. He took his time to explain the paperwork and what I should and shouldn't do in the next two weeks. I'd recommend his shop for repairs, if you want an accurate assessment and cost you will need to have the diagnostic done.

My car is a 1989 VW Cabriolet. It's a simple job. SMH. The worse part is I caught him lying to me. I'll never understand why most people can't tell the truth. I don't recommend this AAMCO for any service. I would bet that once they started working on my car the quote would have gone to over 2k for a $5 fix on something not in the quote.

My vehicle is a 2011 Edge that is known for transmission issues and they made it better than new. Ford had several TSBs on it, however the dealers just keep that to themselves. One has to research for themselves, that is how I found out.

I was told by Shelby (who works there at the front counter) that it was going to cost $1007.27 to fix my car and that would allow me to have AC and Heat and directional airflow. after they worked on it and before payment was given over the phone, I was told by Shelby, yes it has AC yes it has Heat and yes the directional airflow was fixed. I paid the bill and when I picked up my car after work that day, I had AC and directional airflow, however I had no Heat. they asked me to bring it back in and then tell me, it's another issue for my Heat that's going to cost me another $1000 and because the mechanic I was talking to is the fiancé (Chris) of Shelbys, Chris says I never asked to get my Heat fixed and I'm basically screwed. stay away from these crooks!! if they were upfront and honest with me, I never would have paid $1007.27 to fix 2/3 of my cars problems. scammers and Liars!
