Dave is the most honest mechanic I have come across in 25 years. I first brought my Corolla to the Toyota dealership for its 60k mi maintenance. To my surprise, they wanted $1417. The largest cost was the transmission flush for $978. They added a four-wheel alignment service for $157 that Discount Transmission Center didn't charge me for at all. Toyota also said I need to have my evap core cleaner done for $97 and Dave explained that was just an upsell and was not necessary. I'm so glad I did not get my service at Toyota but I was recommend to speak with Dave at Discount Transmission Center aka DT Automotive Services . He performed all the same services Toyota was offering. He also added a service to do a coolant flush for my radiator that he recommends every 50k miles. I brought my paperwork from Toyota with everything they said they checked as needing service. Dave looked over all the same things Toyota inspected, so he can feel confident I was getting the correct maintenance. Dave said the total cost was $392.14. I wanted to cry because it was a huge savings. Praise God for mechanics that can still be trusted, regardless of your knowledge with vehicles. I completely recommend this shop for anybody and they have made a new long-term customer for life along with everyone I recommend. I'm also going to be putting a complaint in to Toyota about their representative trying to rip me off as a single female. read more

I have an older Ford box truck that had a transmission rebuild within the last 2 years. The shop that did it was no longer there. And the thought of another rebuild so soon was not sounding great. I took the truck to Discount Transmission. Dave looked it over and said he felt it could be repaired, as opposed to rebuilt. Took him so e time to get to it due to the size of the truck and only 1 lift available. Well worth the wait. Not only did her repair the problem, the transmission shifts better than it ever had. I took my Hummer H2 there approximately a year and a half ago to have the transfer case rebuilt. Dave told me it would take about 2 weeks to get it done after over a month and a half and a few thousand rental cars I finally got it returned to me. From this point forward on four occasions approximately every 2-3 months it would began leaking again so I would return or they would they would keep it over a month every time. Would get the run around whenever I called and phone calls would be screened as to not be able to get a hold of Dave the owner. Would have to drive there in order to get any answers. On the last occasion they had the audacity to try to charge me $450 for the repair to the work that they could not get right. They've had my vehicle a total of over 6 months for the one repair needed and it is again leaking and not usable. Obviously I will not be returning but we'll see them in court after having it repaired correctly. I highly recommend NOT using them! read more

Brought in my 2006 Chrysler AWD for major work (transmission, CV axles, brakes, intake manifold, etc). Dave quoted me a price I wasn't happy with, but reasonable given the work done. Upon completion, he did ask me to bring it back in a week to make sure nothing leaked, and the performance rotors were holding up (ceramic). The 300 drove like a dream, very obvious that quality work was done to my baby. I'll bring it back in a week to get it looked over, but I'm very happy with the condition I got it back, and will adjust the rating if needed though I doubt I'll have a reason to. read more

I had a transmission issue with my 2001 Ford F-150. Everyone was telling me $2,500 for a rebuild. On advice I took it to Dave. He knows these trucks. He diagnosed it was just a leaky seal that he could get through the pan for a grand total of about $212. It drives like new. No one else gets to work on my truck but them. read more

They took my car for 18 weeks, and old 2003 Jetta. Punched a hole in my gas tank and covered it up with epoxy and tried to say it was always like that. Gave it to me a week later saying it's fixed, but cannot go in reverse (gave it back.) Refused to show me the 5 transmissions they tried to fix mine with. Stole my right mirror, speed sensor, battery box cover, spare tire, and fluids. Used my car as their personal vehicle, avoided calls. I had to speak to them in person, except they would avoid me. In response to that, I blocked them in with a truck, forcing them to talk. I paid them before repairs and they kept the money yet somehow they knew the legal system well enough to get away with that. They then said they sent my transmission to Jasper for a complete rebuild, another lie. They changed managers in the middle of this as the first manager was constantly dealing with the court system, gee I wonder why. We called the police on them and got my car back. Sent it to a dealer and got fixed in 2 days. read more

The worst customer service ever, no returns calls after I called there 5 times. The owner is never around. Young lady screens all his calls, he is always out. Scam... Stay away from Had a vibration on wife's bronco thought it was a transmission problem dropped off they called back next day and said it was with a price of $500 to fix kept it for three more days called and said it was done picked up no more vibration all should be good. Whiling doing oil change following month looked like they didn't take off the transmission pan do started looking around apparently the exciter ring on the harmonic balancer had come loose so the welded it to the balancer and for those that don't know this is what keeps your motets bearings from going bad again stay away anyone that doesn't believe I will be happy to send pictures. read more

I've never had transmission work done here, however Dave and his team have fixed the AC in my son's jeep along with other repairs and numerous repairs on our Expedition. ripped me off for 1588.00 windstaer tranny wasnt done even though he calimed it was fixed brought iot bakc 4 times over a four month period...he couildnt fix it! now i have a notyher tranny palce re doing it. I will hjave to sue them in small claims courtalos...he tampered with my front end rack (that was onbly nine months new) and all the sudden its leaking bad....he offered to fix it for 500 dollars of course i said no But i paid the other gagage 500 bucks to fix what they claim was "tampered with" the boot was off the rack why? Discount Transmission put a hole in my rack !! so now i have to sue for 2000.00 or more I just spent anoth 1400.00 to re do the tranny and 500 to replace the rack they tampered with. totaling 1988.00 in anoither tranny rebuild and another new rack! read more
