Pretty cool little place. They grind fresh meat daily and all the cuts on display looked great. The sea food on hand was all frozen. Butcher is on hand and friendly. I will be back frequently.

Best Ribeye ever ! Always top notch!

But the best result was when I cooked the bacon and later that day the ground chuck. The bacon was great and had lots fo flavor. The ground chuck made great hamburgers and lost almost no size when I cooked them. They were a big hit in the house. I'm looking forward to cooking more of the meat I have in the freezer. I also plan to go back later today and buy a whole New York Strip. Added this part a few months later. The meat was realy wrapped well enough to hold up in the freezer. If you buy a deal make sure to rewrap or vacuum seal it.

I want to share my honest experience so others can make an informed decision…read more A week ago, bad weather kept my usual meat delivery guy from coming, so I called Wilkes Meats. I told the owner I normally buy a month's worth of steaks at a time. He quoted me a price over the phone that was much higher than what I usually pay, so I told him I'd call back. About ten minutes later, he called me saying he was closing early because of the weather and offered me approximately 26 steaks for $445. I agreed. When I arrived, the first red flag was that there was no meat in the display cases at all. He brought out a whole cut to show me before slicing it. While cutting, he wore no gloves, which I noticed, but I figured I would wash the steaks at home anyway. That night, I cooked one steak. It had a strange smell--different from anything I've ever gotten from my usual supplier. I thought maybe it was my air fryer, even though I always cook steaks the same way. About ten minutes after eating, I had diarrhea and vomiting. The next day I still felt sick, so I only ate bread. The following day, I tried another steak. Same smell. Same reaction--immediate vomiting and diarrhea. That's when I realized the meat was the problem. I threw the rest away. I called the owner to explain what happened. As I'm telling him everything, he's quiet. Then he says, "Come up Monday and we can work something out." I told him I didn't want more meat from him--why would I risk getting sick again. His response was basically that replacing the meat was all he could offer. I told him I would dispute the charge with American Express and leave an honest review. He said "OK," so here I am. I spent $445 on steaks that made me sick twice and ended up in the trash. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this place. If you buy in bulk, be aware: in my opinion, it felt like I was given older meat they were trying to get rid of. A butcher doesn't want to throw out product, and unfortunately, I believe that's exactly what happened here. I'm not a butcher or a competitor--just a customer sharing what happened. If you can, avoid this place, especially for bulk purchases.

Wow! It's places like these that make me realize the importance of my role as a Yelp Eliter/…read moreAllstar. This place is a local GEM. Plain and simple. And it's OUR jobs to shed light on these fabulous small businesses! What I miss most about my college/ grad school towns, is the quaint, small-town, community-supported vibes you get and the connection you are able to form with your community by not only shopping locally but by building a relationship with the people and places you live. Not only is Haven a delicious, well-serviced food spot, it is a community gathering home of unparalleled service, inviting you to connect. I drove across town 30-minutes at rush hour just to make it here for a dinner sandwich, before closing. It was SO worth it. I bought a delicious Cinnamon Danish Pastry and their Signature Turkey Pesto Sandwich-- a popular one! The Owner, Umberto let me taste their homemade Hibicious Lemonade Mix, which was delightful. I can't wait to point friends, family, and fans here to say Haven is SO "WORTH THE DRIVE," and it's going to keep you coming back for more! Congrats on surviving and THRIVING in your first year, Haven. Cheers to many more to come!! Looking forward to joining you guys on one of your last-Fridays of the month events: music, dancing, charcuterie, and wine-- one of these days! EVERYONE Come check them out

I have come here to just chill on the couch, get work done, or take a look at the food and drinks! I decided to try this sandwich and it was made very fresh! I'm not the biggest fan of all the cheese (just not for me), but I was a big fan of the sourdough bread!! I would go back for their cookies/brownies or to just chill inside and enjoy the vibes! The service is also super patient and welcoming also! I will be back again and again!!

I pass by this Publix all the time and finally had a chance to stop in right before Valentine's…read moreDay. I went in to pick up some ready made desserts and for a few groceries. They always have a really good selection of items in the bakery at every Publix I've been to. The ladies at the bakery counter were nice and asked if I needed help with anything. I asked them if they had the sugar free cheesecake (Publix brand) that I saw online, but they never heard of them carrying it. So I'm wondering if this location doesn't have them at all or if it's a special order you have to put in. I've never tried getting one from them before, so I'll have to look more into it. In any case, I was able to try the Enlightened keto strawberry cheesecake from the frozen section instead. Those were good. They come in single serving sizes and are a little pricy as most special made keto products are, but the flavor without the guilt made it worthwhile for me. I also picked up some brownies at my other half's request and some chocolate strawberries for myself. Both were very good items. I found the rest of my groceries with no issue. The store is clean and well-stocked like most Publix I've been to. Of course the prices generally are higher than Walmart, Kroger, or Aldi as I've mentioned before, but it's nice to stop in for certain items now and then. Shopping really is "a pleasure" here as their ad states. The customers even seem friendlier at Publix compared to other stores for some reason. At checkout I had two really nice young guys helping me. The bagger offered to help me to my car which was nice. I declined, but the thought was appreciated. You don't get that at every store and most people are just trying to rush you out so they can clock off for a break or go back to socializing. Overall, I would definitely come back to this location again and recommend it to anyone nearby or passing through.

Adnan is great with all customers and truly understands customer service. The only reason for three stars is the Dairy dept, not so much the cheese dept, but milk, yogurt, sour cream, etc. They have expired food there all the time. I shop at least 2-3 times a week here and I find yogurt, cottage cheese, soy milk, chip dips, etc. way past the expiration date all the time. I have spoken with the people there about it and they say they are going to come back and pull it and then two days later when I'm back it's still there! They need to really look into the management of this dept, it's dragging down the whole store. Bakery is great, deli is s l o w, but good, meat is expensive there, but dairy... pay attention it's probably out of date.

I had 1/2 of my husband's blackberry cobbler with ice cream which was a huge serving that definitely to be shared. My husband enjoyed his chicken pot pie, sweet potato soufflé and broccoli casserole. I like how the restaurant got a perfect score on their inspection report, something to be proud of! Food was out in a jiffy and it was not crowded on a Thursday at 5:30 pm so we got a parking spot out front, but front lot was full by the time we left. Our server filled my husband's drink at least twice and brought me a second lemonade and even offered me one to go. The restaurant has very subtle signage, so easy to overlook this gem if you do not know about it! Come hungry!
