Very nice meat market and Tony is very helpful. Only issue is the cost for me. I paid $230 for 5 ribeyes which honestly with my grilling equipment I could have gotten close to the same result at a much lower cost with meat across the street at Publix. I grill, smoke, and roast a variety of meats on a quite frequent basis. As someone who appreciates great food it all starts with quality ingredients. This is the local butcher shop that you can rely on for excellent meats. He has a variety of beef cuts that are USDA certified Angus Prime. Keep in mind that only 3% of all beef meets this high standard. This means you pay more but you will know why when you eat it. Prime has much more marbling than what you find in the grocery store which lends to a more tender and flavorful meat. His hamburgers and hotdogs are also made in house and are amazing. We also enjoyed a locally sourced, never frozen turkey for Thanksgiving this year and it was the best I've ever eaten. First time there for me. I found Tony to be more indifferent than I would have liked. I went there to get thin sliced pork chops but, without explanation, Tony said that they were unavailable though he did have thick ones. I have to assume that he did not want to cut thin slices. I went here to check out the ribeye steaks, and was surprised to see that they had tomahawk! The man even said he would çut it in half if I wanted. I didn't end up getting anything, because the price per pound for the Ribeyes, was more than what was expected. The man behind the counter was courteous. If I need chicken, I will go back. Go in a week or two before the holiday and place your order for a fresh bird and pick it up just before the holiday. Tony likes Kamado Style cooking, Big Green Egg, Kamado Joe, etc. he even sells supplies for those cookers, lump charcoal, spices and rubs, etc. I have 2 of them myself. So when I am looking for something to smoke or grill, Tony always has good meat for the cooker and tips on how to prepare it. His store front is in a small hole in the wall strip shopping center. Best whole beef briskets I've had the pleasure of smoking in GA. Grass fed, grain finished, 15-18 Lbs of prime beef just as it should be. I usually trim a little bit of extra fat off but I like the fact that Tony leaves enough of a cap to let the buyer decide how much they want. I could go on about the briskets but I should mention that the Ribeyes are equally impressive. I'm sure the other cuts are great too but my family loves Ribeyes so that's that. read more
