This is a cute little hidden cafe. I read other reviews of how "remarkable or incredible" the coffee was but it was nothing out of the ordinary or palette mesmerizing. Aside from a latte, I ordered the egg/cheese croissant which was delicious. Had a danish and samosa. Samosa was dry and some lentils under cooked. The danish was decent. I would have liked to order something else but was not made aware of a picture menu available until I left. The service was very friendly and they even offered to re heat my coffee since I was there for a while and it got cold. It's also nice, clean and themed out well. They have wifi here and it was a good spot for a quick work sesh.

Wow this place is fantastic. I accidentally found this place after looking for a coffee shop for my wife to go to with a friend and after reading the reviews, knew we had to go. We decided to come here yesterday for a Valentine's Day lunch and the owner was here. He went over each item on their menu and showed us pictures of the items and explained what each thing was in great detail. Pretty much everything is organic and Vegan as well. The owner explained how the roast their own coffee and they make everything. As someone who has worked in culinary for quite sometime and is a well traveled, it's easy to take certain things for granted when you become accustomed to it and when you can't find similar thing, it can be frustrating. The coffee here is truly remarkable, you can taste the difference. Usually we prefer visiting coffee shops that are owned by roasters as their coffee is made from beans roasted with a few days, but not more than two weeks. So knowing they roast their own in house is lovely! The food. Wow!!! We had the Pastee, Kinche, Chibo Vegan and Avocado Toast with Turmeric Sauce. Everything was presented very nicely, and the taste and texture was pleasant. Now all I can hope is they create a dinner menu so we can get Togo at least once every two weeks. As for décor, it's very relaxing, inviting and a place I would highly recommend to couples, for a date, hangout with a good friend to have great coffee and food and deep conversations, or to hangout solo, relax and read while enjoying coffee and a lunch. Very impressed, outstanding customer service and friendly. These are the types of businesses I love to support where they love what they do and take care of their customers. It shows in the quality of the food and coffee too. Highly recommended. Will be back. [Review #705] (3rd Review of 2024)

    They have Ethiopian Coffees.

Delicious Coffee. And an assortment of pastries made in-house. Some cultural dishes like Kimchi and Sambusa. Very intimate and relaxing atmosphere.

Delicious coffee, wonderful staff, and beautiful interior! Chibo Coffee is nestled in the corner of a Five Forks Strip Mall and is only a few minutes from the local library. They offer authentic Ethiopian food and coffee, and even have vegan options! We visited a half hour before close and met the owner, he made our yummy coffees, and was delightful and very friendly! We ordered a 12 oz hazelnut coffee with whipped cream and a 16 oz vanilla latte with oatmilk. Both drinks were perfectly balanced and delicious! The price was also less expensive than other local joints. We spent around $12 for both drinks including the add-ons. I can't wait to go back and try their other drinks and get a slice of Tiramisu! Update: We went back and tried their delicious food! Photos attached :)

Chechibsa and chibo quesedilla London fog

Have been here twice and had a great experience both times. London fog is so good, 10/10 recommend. Chechibsa is good, seasoned well. They offer honey with it but I prefer without the honey. Chibo quesedilla is yummy. First time I had it was the best. Second time was a little too cheesy for my preference but still great overall. Had the sambusa on a previous visit and didn't really care for it. I prefer a regular samosa over sambusa. Lentils were kind of dry. Overall if you're in Gwinnett and interested in a local coffee shop this was a cute find! The lady at the front is so sweet and very helpful when ordering.

Chibo Coffee is a friendly little family owned cafe tucked in the back of a shopping center across from Kroger and next door to McDonalds. There's a Starbucks across the street but I wanted to try a local joint. The owner is Ethiopian and he said they roast their own beans in house. They have an assortment of sweet pastries and savory options. Decor is simple but open. There is a nice assortment of art on the wall and they have traditional art coffee sets for sale too. We opted for the Chibo Coffee. The owner said it's made to order and takes about 8 minutes. It was brought out on a very nice looking tray and had a raw sugar bowl. The coffee is small and meant to be poured in an espresso cup. The vegan lentil pastry we ordered had a great mix of spices with the right amount of heat. The coffee was also very good. Deceptively light for such a dark roast. Service and staff were attentive and friendly. Little gems like this are why we always try to visit a family owned establishment instead of a mega chain.

When I started on my journey, it was a little further than I had planned to go but my sister friend raced about the croissants. I'm a bread girlie so I trusted her opinion. It was mid afternoon, well beyond the best time to pick up a morning croissant so I inquired about what items were left. To my surprise, they had some croissants left. I requested if they could save me one and they obliged. Thru didn't have to but they said they would. And boy, I'm so glad they did! Once I returned home nearly 45 minutes away, and heated them up for a mid afternoon snack, I knew that the distance was the only reason that would save what's left of my peri-menopausal waistline. I'm not even going to share which one I tried because I'm a greedy bread girlie and I want them to be available the next time I go. Just know that you can't go wrong with ANY flavor because they were all flaky, buttery, airy---just so damn good. It WAS Paris all over again. I'm thinking about them even as I type this review. Oh my goodness. Ugghh. So good!

What I miss most about my college/ grad school towns, is the quaint, small-town, community-supported vibes you get and the connection you are able to form with your community by not only shopping locally but by building a relationship with the people and places you live. Not only is Haven a delicious, well-serviced food spot, it is a community gathering home of unparalleled service, inviting you to connect. I drove across town 30-minutes at rush hour just to make it here for a dinner sandwich, before closing. It was SO worth it. I bought a delicious Cinnamon Danish Pastry and their Signature Turkey Pesto Sandwich-- a popular one! The Owner, Umberto let me taste their homemade Hibicious Lemonade Mix, which was delightful. I can't wait to point friends, family, and fans here to say Haven is SO "WORTH THE DRIVE," and it's going to keep you coming back for more! This cafe holds its own moody, navy interior while serving delicious drinks and foods, both sweet and savory, whether you're there in the morning or in the evening. I got it hot with oat milk so it's creamy, nutty and it doesn't even feel like I'm drinking coffee - which can be dangerous. I got a second one to go before I left. I also had a croissant which is very reasonably priced at $3. I'm not much of a sweets person so depending on the next time I'm in, I'd be curious to try their croffle - I still haven't had one yet in general.
