Idk when del rancho turned into the most underrated burger joint in the city but god damn this shit is fire. Go get you some and stop arguing about which overpriced downtown/midtown/plaza/ whatever burger is better than the other (neither are, Tony's wins). Also it's a drive in so vibes are immaculate. read more

It's a drive in style like Sonic. It was super busy, a lot of people were there when we pulled up so it's not uncommon to have to wait before you can pull up into a spot. They allow for customization so I got the carne asada fries minus the cheese and cream and added extra meat, cilantro and onion to them. We did have to wait for a bit after we ordered but that was to be a given with how busy the place was. The food was hot when I got it. It was good, the meat was a little salty but I still enjoyed it. Just wish I had asked them for salsa to pour on top of my meal. read more

Got hungry on July 4th and was worried what was even open that had burritos. Stumbled upon Tony's and decided to try their burritos. The place is situated exactly like a Sonic with the ability to order at your car. Super easy and convenient. Ordered 2 of their carne asada burritos to try them out. At first we were disappointed at the size of the burrito being $6/burrito and was on the smaller side. However after a few bites in, we realized there was ZERO filler of beans and rice which we actually enjoyed a lot. It was primarily meat, onions and some pico. We actually didn't mind it being different than your typical huge filled burrito because the carne was well seasoned and had great taste. I took a couple of pics to show throughout the burrito it truly was just a ton of meat! The only downfall would be it was a little oily but wasn't too much of an issue. Came with a pack of jalapeño salsa each which had okay flavor but luckily the burrito had enough taste. Definitely would come again for a quick bite! read more

Tony's Tacos is great. We were in a pinch and needing a quick, tasty, and cheap in-and-out dinner. That's exactly what you get here. My meal far exceeded my expectations. I will for sure return. I really enjoyed their carne asada torta. Tortas are large Mexican sandwiches on fresh bakery style bread filled with meat and bursting with veggies. This sandwich had tons of avocado + fresh lettuce + tomatoes. The bread was fresh + fluffy yet crispy on the outside from spending the prefect amount of time on the flattop. The flavor of the sandwich was on point. I also ordered a side of traditional crinkle cut fries, served hot, and salted to perfection. I made all the happy noises while eating this meal. I used to love this place but the last time I went there my order was made incorrectly and the lady even repeated back correctly so I trusted the process until I got home and then found a black hair in my food I have blonde so by far not mine I know accidents happen but nobody wore hairnets and all the girls hair is down around their face I have been a restaurant manager for years and that would never fly s read more

I'm beyond disappointed with this place. I just finished eating their #20 plate and not only was the wait ridiculously long, but when the food arrived it was cold. I just move to the Oklahoma City area, I found this taqueria. My god the best in the south area by far the best in Oklahoma City love this place. I love burritos lol they are small but cheap, so I get two of them, :) Pastor and asada. An old drive-in serving up authentic Mexican food..Now I've seen it all. Kinda cool, classic, press the button and order out of your window joint. Eat in your car or they have a picnic table. I tried a few things from the menu. Flavors and quality ranged from tasty to okay. Gordita I ordered with shredded chicken, big and stuffed full, lots of flavor, a little spicy, served piping hot (careful, it burns), well worth the $2.99. I also had at least a few bites of 3 other tacos. They had only one tortilla on each, I prefer two..Tortillas from a bag not homemade. Tripitas were crispy but still fatty..In SoCal I've had better that were crispier, and worse that were chewy. These were somewhere in the middle, but had tough parts that caught in my throat when swallowed. To battle that I had to chew too much, plus flavor didn't pop, not my favorite. Carne asada had a lot of seasoning, flavor different than I'm used to. I thought I was eating al pastor or barbacoa. It was okay. The actual al pastor was very flavorful, but crispier than I prefer, overcooked I'd say with again a lot of chewing, not one bit tender or moist, and a little less sweet than I like. Salsas were both very good, both with heat..a creamy green avocado and an almost orange colored chile de árbol salsa. The latter was sooo flavorful, easily the better of the two. Service was excellent. Family running the place is very friendly, no language barriers. While food might be 3-3.5 stars, service bumps them up to a 4. But when eating here next, I'm sticking with the gorditas. read more

I want to love this place. I live right down the street. I go about once a week and have for 6 months. I order the same thing every time, but yet my total changes. The only time I was charged the accurate price was last week when I finally had the sense to ask for an itemized receipt. Whatever person brings you your food decides how much of a tip they want and that's what you pay. I'm not okay with that, it's bad business, and it's a bummer. I've literally been ripped off $1-$4 every time. The sad part is I'm tipping on top of the rip off. Today I ordered my food, hoping it was all imagined. My total was $18.98 with tax included. The girl comes to my car, "It's $20." I paid her $20 plus $2 tip then ask for an itemized receipt. She simply says she can't give me one and walks away. read more

Disclaimer this was my first time here. So I've giving this place three stars because of the customer service. It was fantastic. The food was okay taste wise. I asked for a little extra cheese on my asada fries. The fries were COVERED in cheese but not in a good way. In a I'm going to have high cholesterol after 3 bites way. Also I got food poisoning. The tacos al pastor here are little works of art -- simply perfect in every way. The salsas at Tony's Tacos are also extremely tasty. (They're piquant but not too spicy for the average Anglos who usually go out there with us.) Extremely pleasant owners -- very chatty, very grateful for the fact that you love the food they work hard to make. If you want to try street tacos in OKC but don't want to go to a food truck, well, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place than Tony's Tacos to start. read more

I have never eaten here before but I saw it on DoorDash and thought we'd try it. DoorDash unfortunately messed up because I ordered an Indian Taco (as well as 2 burritos and 1 taco) but apparently Tony's Tacos no longer sells Indian Tacos. But I won't fault the restaurant for DoorDash having their menu incorrect. We received the Asada Burrito and Asada Taco and they were amazing! I'll definitely eat here again. Just be careful if you are ordering here from DoorDash as apparently the menu listed isn't completely accurate! read more

It was very busy when we walked in but there was no wait. We were thankfully seated immediately and started off with chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crispy, but the salsa was mediocre. The tomatoes tasted canned. While I can totally get the efficiency behind using canned tomatoes for a busy restaurant, the taste is not preferred. The kids chicken quesadilla plate was a good amount of food! I just wish the quesadilla was already sliced as it was for our 3 year old. The chicken was also bland. Again, the portions were great. My son ordered the Burrito La Herencia with ground beef and this was seasoned well. Again, great portions of beans, rice & main dish. No complaints with this one! My spouse ordered the La Herencia fajita special and felt as if it was lacking. The steak pieces were minuscule and the shrimp was bland and undercooked. The pork chop was thinly sliced which was nice but VERY salty. We were wishing for more peppers and onions as well. Overall this dish was salty, but tolerable! It came with a side plate of rice, beans, pico de gallo, guac, sour cream & lettuce. Served with flour tortillas. We ordered the queso & guac while we were looking at the menu and waiting. I personally did not enjoy the queso. It was thick and had an artificial mouth feel. The guac was decent! Bland overall but I love the taste of avocado. I wish it had more lime and seasoning though since it was supposed to be Guacamole and not avocado dip. I ordered the Steak Mexicano with extra jalapeños and this was very good. Still on the salty side but I enjoy things on a SLIGHTLY saltier range. My spouse thought the steak was TOO salty. The peppers, onions, and tomatoes were nicely sautéed and seasoned. The rice here is also DELICIOUS. I hate a bland Mexican rice. The beans were good too but nothing to write home about. I do wish I was offered a side of corn tortillas. Overall this experience was okay! Not the worst but definitely not the best. The restaurant was beautifully decorated but there was a noticeable lack of music. We were sat listening to the chatter of all the different customers and kitchen noises. We did have the option of booth or table AND they have boosters seats/ high chairs upon request.

I am glad I didn't take any names (save for Lindsey) because knowing names would make it so much worse for this review. I arrived before the rest of my family expecting the normal craze that N.J. has on pretty much any given day. It was surprisingly slow. Walked in, went to the Host desk and stated I had a party of 4 adults and a child. I asked if I could have the "half and half" table by the door leading to the patio. I should have taken heed by the "deer in headlights" look i received that I was not dealing with a full deck of cards person. The table was empty, but she tried to convince me that i should take one of the crescent tables. Trying to remain calm at the total incompetence before me; I finally stated that I'll take a table outside...to which I received the reply: "I don't think we can do that because the tables are worked in a diagonal" I know at this point I had a, "Tha Fook" look about my face. I also got a text that the group had grown by an adult and a infant; knowing this was going to confuse the hostess even more, but best to update the count. She then said she would have to go and check with the manager if it would in fact be possible to move tables that are not bolted down, outside to fit 5 adults and 2 children. Thinking, "I'm glad I showed up early", the restaurant then began to get busy. Not too long later she returned with the manager...who explained it would not be a problem to put some tables together. He informed me that they would get it set up, but they they would wait to seat when the rest of the party arrived; rules I understand and stated as much...I did ask the manager though, why the hostess said it would be an issue...He honestly replied he didn't know why she had said that. So kudos to the Manager with the blonde hair and light colored shirt. So I sat down in the waiting area for everyone to arrive. About 5 minutes elapsed when they finally arrived. As my party entered the restaurant, i stepped up to the host stand and informed them everyone had arrived and that the party had reduced back down to the original number (4 adults and 1 child). The male host informed me that it would be another 5 minutes...not so they could set up the table...but so that the server would not be overwhelmed by a third table. Yes, that look came across my face again. The female hostess walked away to go talk to the server as I was explaining to the male host that its fine to seat us; we can wait for the server for when she was ready. At this time he was confused. Which made no sense. I mean this is a restaurant that if normally PACKED...with a line that wraps around the building and cars are fighting for a spot to park. So to say the server needed time to acclimate from two tables, to three...THAT is a major problem for your restaurant that is always busy. Well, a few minutes had gone by and we were still waiting to be taken to our table. The male server noticed (which I had noticed the whole time) that the female hostess was still talking to the server. He proceeded to run back there and they and a different manager came to the front. The manager asked confusedly if I wanted to be sat down...I replied, "Yes, we never expected to be immediately tended to by the server, we just wanted to sit down and get out of the way of all the people now coming in. He showed us to the table and asked if there was anything else (wrong question). So I told him that the hostess was incompetent. How I had originally asked for the half and half table, etc. Then the whole diagonal thing and now about the server needing time to acclimate from two tables to three. Now, the worst thing you can do as a manager of any installation is stand there and look stupid (this is not the same manager as before, mind you, this guy had brunette hair and a blue shirt). Whish was exactly what he was doing, and giving responses that sounded like he went into default mode. They didn't address the situation, they didn't acknowledge the situation...They were literally "filler talk". My reaction was again, that look. We sat down and the original server finally came out, provided us with menus and took our drink order, and left. Maybe 5 minutes later Lindsey came out with our drinks. THAT is when the experience turned for the positive. She was jovial, polite, informed us of the special (which I ordered; they need to rename it the Wilford Brimley - iykyk). She gave us the perfect amount of time. Never rushed to refill coffees or anything...and the BEST part: she didn't ask when everyone has food in their mouth how everything was...I HATE THAT!!!!. Truly, Lindsey saved the day. She needs a raise and a promotion (she should take the second manager's job because he was useless). I hope next time is better... from the beginning.
