Food and service was really good. They have your familiar Mexican favorites along with some more interesting dishes. If you like birria, they have it in all forms. Prices seemed reasonable as well. I had two issues with this place. One, it was quite warm inside. I don't know if they were having AC issues or if this is just how they keep it. Two, they have a sign on the hostess counter when you enter stating you can get free sopapillas if you leave them a good review on social media. Had lunch with my coworkers and everything was delicious! The fajita meat was perfectly seasoned and highly recommend pairing it with the corn tortillas. One of my colleagues ordered the taco trio and gave it a thumbs up. Even the salsa had great flavor. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service struggled to keep up with the lunch rush. Not sure if they were short-staffed or if our server was just overwhelmed. Happened upon this while out on this side of town. First time and the atmosphere took us by surprise! Very cheerful place with comfy chairs. Not sure how they keep them clean....... Colorful, happy place. We were seated immediately but took quite awhile to get drinks and longer for order. They did have to sing Happy Birthday to 3 different tables while we were there. Food was very good. Especially the chicken Quesadilla. . I ordered a Burrito but Something hard hurt my tooth about half way into my meal so didn't finish eating. Hope it was something freak. This place is so fun! Everything about the food is excellent: flavor, quality, presentation. Spot on! Every time I have come here I have had great table service. This last time we sat at the bar and the service was lacking, but it looked like they were short staffed. However, they did acknowledge their delays and try to be more accommodating. This time we tried the taco shots and I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but they were awesome and arguably full size not shot size! The ambiance is good. I like how they paid so much attention to detail on wall decor and even ceiling decor. All the bar glasses are so fun. My girls and I ordered a lot of food and we would love to tell you about it. First off, service was very disappointing. Our server's tables were scattered throughout the restaurant. He was constantly in a rush! Took him a while to come back to get the rest of our orders placed. We had to ask for napkins 5 times and had our food brought out to us before being given utensils. ALSO, a little disappointing to hear that their cute drinks aren't as cute anymore because they don't have the cups that go with it. My friend had wanted two other drinks that are supposed to have a cute cup, settled for the bath drink as it's the last one they have. Found this fun restaurant on a tik tok so decided to try it while a friend was in town. We're really glad we went as the food and artistic drinks didn't disappoint. We devoured our food and loved the drink presentations. Service was really good but must say that communication was a bit challenging but our orders came out correctly. One odd thing was mid lunch, out of no where, the music came on like it was a club but it lasted about a minute then no music rest of lunch lol. I must say the booths are comfortable and the decor is fun, eclectic yet warm. The mural at the back is amazing. The location isn't central okc but is worth the drive. read more

We were greeted shortly and got drinks I got the La Fresano it was good, now to eat I had the Birria burrito with a side of rice and refried beans food was soooooo good. This is a super cute restaurant. I loved all the wall art and the cute chairs. The bar area looked super festive as well. They were well staffed and everyone was really nice. Our waiter was super attentive. When we first got there it was a bit loud but as some of the party's left it was fine. The drinks were really good. I wish the menu told you the drinks by the cute cups they come in. We asked our waiter about several of them and he was nice and patient with us when explaining which ones were which. Our food order got messed up a bit. My sister ordered steak tacos "street style", I ordered chicken tacos "American style" and we ordered the vida fries which chicken as the protein. We ended up getting 2 plates of chicken tacos and steak on the vida fries. My sister was okay with eating the chicken tacos but we had him fix the vida fries which he had done right away. So that was nice. We also got the street corn - hot style, it was okay. The rest of the food was pretty good. The drinks were really good. I got the Horchata Loca & Bath Booba Peach. I don't know how to explain the oddness about this place, but I'll try... Stick with me. This place is stupidly located. It has the energy and aesthetic of a gentrified Mexican restaurant run by people who "love the culture" but would only order the mild salsa. Not saying that's what it is, because everyone working there is obviously Hispanic. I'm saying that's the vibe. Everything about Dulce Vida (from the social-media-focused decor, to the food options, to the over-priced menu) suggests that it thinks it's located in the Plaza District. But... you know, it's not... Because it's actually located on NW Expressway, with nearby restaurants like Church's Chicken. It's almost like the whole restaurant was built for the clientele they wanted, rather than the clientele that lives in the area. There's an audacity to Dulce Vida that makes me wanna channel Kelly Kapoor (from The Office) and say, "Yeah, I have a lot of questions. Number one: How dare you?" Listen, friends: I am doing everything in my power to single-handedly fight this battle, yet it's a battle that I will ultimately lose, because the rest of you have clearly accepted that it's perfectly reasonable to spend $16 on a quesadilla. Which, again, if you were in the gentrified part of OKC where people are trying to save the world one overpriced organic cotton t-shirt at a time, it would make sense. But it doesn't make sense next to an Extended Stay hotel. Y'all's divorced dads clearly have more money to blow than the ones I grew up with... Almost the entire menu starts at around $15. I think I saw two items that were $7 and $9 respectively and those were clearly not meant to be full meals. A lunch entrée will easily set you back $20 by the time you leave. That doesn't include appetizers or drinks. Is that terrible? No. Does it make sense close to a Braum's? I mean, I would say no, but it's apparently up for debate. The food is fine. Nothing I've had so far tasted bad. But the Taco Shots is possibly one of the silliest things I've seen, where the concept clearly made more sense than the practicality of putting 3 shot glasses in front of a customer so that they can awkwardly make a mess all over the table as they try to pull out and consume a sideways taco dunked in sauce. Even though I mentioned it earlier as a knock, the dishes and decor are nicer than a traditional restaurant of this type of food. Everything said, it's fine. It's all kinda odd. I was in the area and had planned on trying another restaurant, but my little brain kept whispering "chips and salsa" and when I came across this obnoxious looking building, I made myself stop in. It's a nice sit-down restaurant and the interior is less sharp in color, but definitely still pink (and purple, and gold...) something little girls would dream of. I asked to sit at the bar since I wasn't dining with anyone and ended up sitting at a high table near the bar. The bartender was really friendly and his service was impeccable. I wish I had caught his name. I ordered the Cantina bowl which is rice, black beans and your choice of chicken, shrimp or steak and sour cream. I got chicken and asked to add "California Veggies" which was lightly steamed carrots, cauliflower and broccoli" and it was really good. I appreciate that the sour cream sauce was drizzled and not drowning the plate. I would definitely order again. The chips were also good. The salsa was so-so (not bad, just nothing to write home about). If I lived closer, I would be a frequent visitor. read more

This is a fairly new restaurant ~ 3 months in business and to be honest, pleasantly surprised. We arrived late afternoon so it wasn't actually busy nor were we hungry This dining adventure was about the appetizers! We chose the Classic Guacamole & the Nachos Fajita 1/2 Chicken 1/2 Ground Beef the Guacamole was right on and very delicious. The same for the Nachos! I would recommend both! However, we weren't hungry for an entree but I probably would only get one appetizer for the two of us then select an entree. I can't really give this a 5 star since I only had appetizers. I'm going to make a return trip to try out other options. I'm pretty certain a 5 star is waiting! If the appetizers were that good I can only imagine what the entrees are like! This place was overhyped by influencers. I am going to give a REAL honest review from not just myself but from a table full of Yelp Elites. There were 4 elites at the table. So, I am positive there will be more reviews similar to mine. First off, the service here from our waitress wasn't bad. However, my friend's boyfriend ordered a birria burrito entree and bit into an actual literal ROCK! That's really messed up, because he could have chipped a tooth or worse! No one came by to apologize to him either, which is why I am not going to say this place has the best service, because that's pretty crappy to not even get an apology by management. My seafood enchiladas were sooooo HORRIBLE! They left the outer shell on the shrimp including the hard tail!!! All the shrimp in the three enchiladas on my plate had the hard shell on with the tail! It was also overcooked to death! I didn't know I was supposed to be eating the shell inside of an enchilada. My food also tasted a bit rancid and not fresh at all. The tortilla part of my enchilada was also raw/undercooked. It was just a disaster of a dish. The refried beans and rice were inedible so, I didn't even eat it after the first initial taste. My mojito wasn't a mojito. I had 5 of my friends try it, and they all agreed it was lime juice. Nothing mojito about it. That drink was sent back. My pink flamingo drink was decent though. My hubby and the rest of our group did not enjoy any of the entrees. Some of it was more edible than others. There were 10 of us in total, and NO ONE liked their meals, that alone says a lot. I've come to conclusion this place is just for show. You're paying for the ambiance and presentation of cute drinks that aren't even that great. The food alone I would give a 0/5. I hate to give such a negative review, but I'm not going to sit here and lie either. We all spent a good amount of $$$. The prices are high, and the quality doesn't match the price. The wait was atrocious. And everyone just occupied the host area. It was chaotic. We asked for the bar area since there were some spots available and were promised a 5-10 min wait but it turned out to be longer than expected. I mean it's what to be expected for a new place on a Friday night but they need to work on the logistics of how to correctly put the customers on the waitlist. The bartenders were very sweet though. I enjoyed the cocktails more than the food. Thin queso is something I don't abide by. Good salsa though. The Bandera enchiladas were subpar. When it comes to red enchilada sauce it is typically heavily seasoned and I complain about it but the sauce from here is so light. The beans were heavily salted. The fish tacos were very soggy. I was especially looking forward to ordering a pitcher of margaritas since they advertise them online, but we were told they no longer serve pitchers. In hindsight, that may have been for the best because the cocktails we ordered were not very good and were also quite expensive, I almost sent mine back. One drink from the bar was served incorrectly, it wasn't what our party member ordered. When we mentioned it to the server, he said he didn't make the drink. I asked if he could take it back to the bar and have it corrected, but he seemed reluctant. The waitress then came over, immediately recognized that the drink was wrong, and asked the server to please take it back to be fixed, which he eventually did. We watched servers fight and play around in front of us, hit their vapes near children in the restaurant without paying attention, and we waited so long for refills, or to ask for adjustments when it came to our food. The food wasn't bad, but it was similar to what you would get at a lower cost Tex-Mex restaurant. The Carne Asada was so dry, I tried to ask for something else or at least a replacement, but no one came by the time the other person with me finished eating, so I let it go. I know everyone has bad days, and this might have just been an off day for that server and kitchen.
