A part of me was fine with never trying Trompudo's Tacos because of how far away it was from me but, now that I've had it, I kinda want to make the drive for more Tortas and burritos. They really nail the spices here and the cost:quantity ratio is great. We ordered a steak torta, burrito, and al pastor tacos. Every menu item we ordered was delicious on its own, but they all tasted even better with their assortment of salsas. My favorite was the spicy pineapple, it had a great mix of sweet and heat and tasted great on everything. The included chips and queso were tasty too - the queso had a taste and consistency similar to Velveeta, which I think is great but it may not appeal to everyone. Service was fast and friendly, I called in a takeout order and they had the food ready earlier than I expected; they also have a drive-thru option for easy pickup, so +1 for the extra convenience. I think Trompudos tacos used to be Taco Bell from the look of the outside, the inside, and the drive through but luckily it is much much better than Taco Bell. Good little variety on the menu. I ordered the torta and it came out super quick. It wasn't the best torta I've ever had but it was good. Especially the bread. We ordered the burrito and quesadilla again but this time we asked for the spicier salsa in addition. Phew their spicier salsa was definitely way spicier than the salsa that automatically comes with your food. I love spicy but wow when it's too spicy where I don't enjoy my food, I can go without it. It's the Southside so you can pretty much get a taco anywhere; however, it's been a long time since I had one as flavorful and with the perfect amount of crunch. If u don't mind paying a tiny extra per taco, then you'll really enjoy these. They have six sauces to choose from as well that vary from mild to having your nose sweat. The beer was Cold which is all u can really ask for. The vibe is nice too, with continuous music playing at a good volume where u can still talk and hear your thoughts. It has multiple salsa choices. The only thing that annoys me is that the to-go cups for the salsa are incredibly tiny. I have had every variation of taco on the menu, and I love them all.......but the the al pastor and suadero are TO DIE FOR! Make sure and get them w/ cheese. Both were on point. The Al pastor was flavorful and they didn't skimp on the pineapple at all. Let's be real about Tacos Al Pastor. A lot of establishments offer them, but few come correct. Trompudo's offers the most legit Al pastor I've had in a long time. Cooked in the traditional manner on a trompa, the pork is insanely delicious...moist, flavorful with a bit of char and served in two fresh corn tortillas with diced onion and pineapple. I also tried the Suadero and carnitas - both exceeded expectations. The chaska was also great. But listen to me now: Get into this place and get that Al pastor. The ambiance is good and there's a small bar that serves beer and drinks. Oh, they make their own salsas and sauces which pair beautifully with whatever meat selection you choose. I am going to give this 3 stars.... For now. I tried the al pastor and asada as well as the chorizo queso.... The al pastor was good. Good flavor. I like how they use a spit roaster... (there are only a handful of restaurants that do this in Oklahoma and only 2 in the city of Oklahoma). The al pastor also came with diced pineapple on top! Fruit always goes great with pork! The asada tacos were dry AF.... But still had a good flavor. In both cases I feel the amount of meat that comes on each taco is very small in comparison to other taquerías in the city... The chorizo was very, VERY FLAVORFUL! Queso was thick and not runny, however they put shredded cheese on top of the queso making it super stringy when you would dip your chips in, making for a not smooth transition from scoop to mouth. I will definitely try this place again, so further my review! All in all 4 tacos and an order of queso and chips, for 2 with no drinks was $18. read more

For about $10 you can get these loaded asada fries, they were pretty good honestly. It's such an indulgent unhealthy food but delicious! They have 6 salsas to choose from that are pretty great. So far, this place has the best tacos that I have had in Oklahoma. Granted, most of the "Mexican" food here is Tex-Mex, which should be looked at as its own category unrelated. The tacos with cheese are particularly great here. I've had the asada and the Al pastor. I like the addition of the crushed pineapple on the Al pastor a lot. I'd been craving this place for awhile because of all the hype. Finally tried and was a bit disappointed. I feel people hyped it up so much because the owner is known by many and fear to disappoint a friend/acquaintance. Don't let the picture fool you, these "quesa tacos" barely had any cheese. I also added avocado for an additional charge, & what I received was a chorrito of I guess avocado sauce (did not taste much like avocado, more limey) I was expecting actual smashed or sliced avocado. They're not loaded w/protein as it might look, it's all the onion/cilantro that make it look full & they're smaller than what the pictures might make it seem. Honestly the best part for me was the unique taste of the tortilla they use. The asada was mediocre I've most def. tried better. I do believe the pastor is what they specialize in which my sister tried and she said it was decent. Might be back but only try something else. Also, salsas were pretty good. Food aside staff and environment was great. Super nice people and very welcoming. The restaurant is decorated so cute. The Service I received tonight Sunday 10/22/23 was beyond unprofessional.. I normally Come to this location and their normally very welcoming and friendly but tonight I guess the one lady at the register didn't want to be at work and I seen it written all over her face even when she proceeded to make my drink. So I get my drinks w salt around the rim without even being asked if I wanted it and also that Resulted in my margarita drink to be salty.
