Went here for lunch with a friend. To me, Tacoville is a forgotten hidden gem. It is off the beaten path and not in any "District." However, do not let that mislead you. It is a delicious experience. Very laid back place to have lunch and talk business. There is no table service at Tacoville. You walk in and order at the counter. They only accept cash and there is an ATM right by the counter. They have a fantastic hot sauce and a sweet habanero sauce. They used to serve beer but when the alcohol laws changed, they stopped offering beer as an option. Don't be surprised or dismayed if there is a line for lunch. It is worth the wait. Today I had a sancho, taco, and a guacamole salad. All delicious and fresh. read more

This place has been here a long time and has always been very popular. It has long been a great place to get a very inexpensive meal. But things they are a-changing. Like everywhere, prices are up and portions are down. No table service. You walk up and order at the front and they call your name when your order is ready. They have a really delicious hot sauce and they'll send a bottle to the table with you. We got crunchy tacos, and soft tacos, the Sancho, the chili burrito and a burrito supreme. The chili burrito comes with chips. They weren't on the plate. They were just thrown on the tray. I hope it wasn't a dirty tray. We did enjoy the meal. The kids loved the tacos. The chili burrito was a hit. we were told we really needed to try the hotdog because they were out of this world. One hotdog is over four dollars and they were really no better than Coney Island so there's that. We will just stick with their regular items. read more

Tacoville, accept my sincerest apologies for spending my money at taco chains all these years. While this place is cash only, you've been warned, they do have an on-site ATM so you can fulfill your taco fantasies. First and foremost the staff is exceptional. Friendly and informative. If you're not sure what you want, just ask. The restaurant is quaint and clean...despite the proverbial "hole-in-the-wall" appearance. I went gentle on them with my order, 4 plain tacos (hardshell). If they can't server a decent taco, why order anything else? Tacos were absolute perfection. Not to mention, their house-made salsa had just the right amount heat, body and flavor. You order and pay for your food at the counter (cash only) and will be called to pick up your order when it's ready. In-door limited seating. We ordered 2 crispy beef tacos (ground beef, wine, lettuce, cheese to buy) where does the one Sancho supreme (ground beef, lettuce, cheese, chopped onions, sour cream, mild red sauce on a 20' yellow flour tortilla) one Chalupa supreme (crispy corn tortilla with ground beef, refried beans, grated cheese and their mild red sauce). Their ground beef was not to my liking (mushy and lacked flavor). The refried beans on the Chalupa were very good and plentiful. They have a good menu, very reasonably priced. read more

Fantastic cheap eats spot This little cash only hole-in-the-wall establishment serves up no frills down-to-basics Mexican food and I'd happily recommend it to friends any time. It feels like a place stuck in time in the best possible sense. I get the sense it hasn't changed much over the years. You order at the counter, pick up at the counter, get your own drink and find yourself a table. It can get busy, but there always seems to be a place to sit. The prices are great and so is the food, just how it's served. It's not the kind of place you go if you are into a lot of customization of your order. It's more of a this is what it is take-it or leave-it kind of establishment. I love getting a few of their traditional beef hard tacos for lunch or dinner. They have awesome chalupas and their burritos are great, too. The ingredients taste fresh and they offer a wide menu of options. They serve several house sauces which are spicy and wonderful. If you are in the area, it's a great and affordable meal option. Tacoville is one of my favorite cheap eat places to eat in South OKC. I go there as often as I can. Quite positively the greatest hidden gem I have found recently!! Cash only, cheap taco restaurant that seems to always have a line built up (impressive!!). Despite there always being a mine and there being few seats - but the time you get your food there's a spot for you! The hot suave is so perfectly balanced I actually enjoy the heat. I was searching for a hole in the wall type of place. This was recommended in a group I am a member of on Facebook. Definitely a hole in the wall in a very rough part of town. That did not deter me. Atmosphere was what you would expect, service was friendly & prompt. But the quality of food did not impress me or my family of four. It was below average. Taco Bueno blows it outta the park. We spent $45 trying various items. Nothing "gross" per say excluding the chicken soft taco...goosey and unappetizing. My daughter refused to eat it so I gave her my food and tried it. It's a nope! This place is such a hidden gem!! Looks are deceiving. Be sure to try out their guacamole on Wednesday and Friday but you need to get there early because they sell out quick. This place is a hole in the wall it's an old gas station in a shopping center converted. From the outside it looks grubby and you'd probably never stop, BUT you'd be missing out. It's a small dinning area and I notice many patrons coming and going while I enjoyed my lunch. You ordered at the counter, the staff is super engaging and friendly. The food is a home run; crispy tacos was excellent with flavorful ground beef topped with fresh ingredients and the sauce is addictive lol. (Also available to purchase) I tried both the mild and jalapeño and simply put, it was great on my palate. This is a dive. The area is horrible. The store front is scary. The parking is tight. That being said, the food is really good. It is not fancy. It is not "presented" well. You do need the hot sauce, but it is the best part. Go for the Habanero if you like spicy. I love the taco burger and the tostada when it is loaded with hot sauce. The combination burrito or Sancho are usually my standard then add items to compliment the burrito. Items such as soft tacos, Chalupa, nacho supreme, taco burger and others IU cannot remember. A little hot sauce to spice it up a little. I have had the tamale platter a few times and it is very good, too. Guacamole is served on Wed & Fri only. Everybody loves this place. Blue collar. White collar. Construction and oil field workers. Police and fireman. Lawyers and admin assistants. Delivery drivers and healthcare workers.
