Linda and her team of volunteers are great. I found a lost bunny in the street one day near Easter a few years back and the shelters were completely full and killing bunnies and chicks almost as soon as they arrived because there were literally TOO MANY! Linda couldn't take in the bunny I found but gave me enough supplies and information to where I kept Dot Sparkle for almost 3 years before she died of a parasite. At first it looked like head tilt, but it didn't improve and then she suddenly passed. After she passed, Linda kindly and compassionately informed me of the service Dot could offer as a study subject for vet students. I donated Dot's body to the vet for an educational necropsy. That's how we found out it was a parasite that had infected her brain and there was nothing that could have been done even if we had found out earlier. Later, a bunny that was badly inbred and too small to stay with others needed a home and I took in Oatie as a foster, eventually I ended up keeping him and he is now part of the family hopping in Dot's pawsteps. Linda and her team are serious about bunny care and education, but most importantly the lives of the bunnies are a priority, not human egos or people who think they know what to so because they've had bunnies before. When you foster or adopt through Linda there is a very specific agreement you have to agree to, just like the ones other animal rescues have. I take Oatie to Linda to visit and also so she can look at his nails which I can't clip too well on my own since he's squirmy. You'll always leave with litter pellets and hay, with Linda always asking, "Are you sure you have enough hay??" People also drop off or dump animals at the rescue expecting Linda's team to "fix" years of neglect and poor treatment and then complain when they are not given back. I can 100% tell you now Linda and the team will go to the ends of the earth to protect an animal before putting it back in a situation where they think it's life will be in danger. If someone brings in a pet they can't care for why complain they can't get it back when they still do not have the means to keep the animal properly and safely? I don't understand. The rescue itself is well-kept and well-lived in by happy bunnies. Don't expect sterile conditions like a hospital, or lots of decorations and wall murals - this place is filled with hay and fur and love. Rabbits like to throw things and flop in hay and dig in dirt and run, the rescue environment is designed for them and their enjoyment - don't get human preferences mixed up with animal NEEDS - that's a sure recipe for a disastrous home-pet life. Linda encourages visits by potential adopters, fosters, educational field trips, and people who just want to learn more about bunny care and animal activism. My dad had two bunnies that he took very good care of for years. Unfortunately, my dad is no longer with us, and we had to step up and take care of the bunnies in his absence. One of our little bunnies cannot keep her balance, and it was getting worse. Linda, without hesitation, offered to pick up our bunny and take her to a veterinarian that specializes in bunnies and exotic animals. I ended up going along, and I have to say very Linda is very compassionate, and generous. I didn't know if I had the money to pay for everything that our friend needed, and although she didn't know me, she offered to cover the cost of most of the medication as well as administering the medication for the next 30 days, since it was not the easiest thing for our family to manage with our work schedule. She didn't ask for a thing in return. I just wanted the best for our little bunny. She sent pictures and updates regularly. My experience with Linda is that she's very passionate about the well-being of these misunderstood creatures and she has dedicated her life to educating people about them so that they can take the best care and give them a happy & healthy life. With animal rescue, the majority of the cost comes out of your own pocket. She sees her organization as a community run affair, so she helps anyone who needs it. At a rough time in my life several years ago, I adopted a young rabbit from a shelter to keep me company. Unfortunately, it was not a good match- I didn't know much about rabbits and the little guy I adopted was biting my son. Linda made me realize that having a young rabbit wasn't the right fit for my family- she took in my rabbit to help socialize and rehome him later down the line and placed two wonderful bunnies into my home, all the while patiently teaching me to be a good bunny mom. Linda is very passionate about what she does. If you see the reviews on this site, you will get either extreme: very high marks or, unfortunately, the occasional very low mark. And I believe the reason for this is that Linda can rub people as eccentric. But if you are going to run a rabbit rescue, you sort of have to be. Now, I will relay why I am giving her very high marks. I am admittedly not a pet person. I have never had a pet of my own besides goldfish. But we committed to getting bunnies because my daughter really wanted pets. We were so fortunate to have found Linda. She guided us and held my hand through the ENTIRE process and a year in, she still assists us whether its cutting their nails or giving us dietary advice for the bunnies, or helping us find affordable pet care. She has even babysat our bunnies while we have been away. And when we return, she always provides meaningful feedback on how they are doing. This last time, she sensed one of the bunnies had a bladder infection and helped with her treatment. Her life seems to revolve around the rescue. About six months ago somebody dumped rabbits behind my house. Not knowing what to do with them, my first instinct was to call the rabbit rescue to give them away. I called Too Many Bunnies and was greeted with complete moral support. Linda has shown me how to take care of my bunnies. I didn't think I could do it because I own two pit bulls also. Her encouragement gave me the enthusiasm to keep the bunnies. This place is a gem! We boarded our 2 young bunnies for 3 weeks and they were super well taken care of, got their shots, and came out healthy and gentle. The facility is run by the owner Linda B. and her team of volunteers that come throughout the week. We got updated pictures every 2-3 days of them hopping around, our rabbits got their shots during their stay as a vet comes by every other week to administer. Linda has a really cool setup where each bunny has a system of cages with tubes in between so they can go up or down as desired. During the day she takes them out into a play area so that they can hop around more freely, then puts them back into the resting cages overnight. While things seem compact (as it's Linda's backyard), the use of space is maximized really well. Now what really makes the place is Linda herself. She's an expert about all things rabbit related and will freely share a lot of information. But mostly what makes it a gem is that she cares about all the rabbits, each and every one. So what you won't get is an anonymous stay for your pets -- it's not that kind of place. read more

BEWARE!!!! The signs were there from the beginning, but we had heard from a friend that Linda was the local bunny rescue woman, so we decided to give her a call. My husband had a ridiculous phone call with her on speaker with me in the room, where after asking my husband "how rich he was" they agreed upon a set price for bunny boarding. After meeting her I had my reservations about leaving our children's bunnies with her to board while we traveled. Her backyard is insane, rats everywhere. She assured me that they don't bother the bunnies and was so intense that for some reason we believed her. Upon our return she tried to extort thousands of dollars from us which was NEVER agreed upon or written up in any contractual form. We had paid her in full, exactly what we had agreed upon plus hundreds to get the bunnies medical care she insisted on them having, and now SHE WILL NOT RETURN OUR BUNNIES TO US. She immediately sent us a very formal letter demanding the money which makes us believe that this is her typical way of operating and getting more money out of local families. My children are devastated, they miss their beloved pets and can not understand why anyone would take them from them. My son is now having nightmares that someone is going to come take him. This is beyond unacceptable and we have had to call in animal control and the local police. Through this process we have learned that she has a terrible reputation around town as well as restraining orders against her. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BUNNIES WITH LINDA!! read more

Me and my family are grateful to have met Linda and her rescued rabbits. We already had an 8 month old mixed rabbit (Misty)so we decided to adopt a companion for him,. Thus we decided to come check out TOO MANY BUNNIES operated by Linda. We came here with misty who was raised indoors most of his life . I was timid as too how he would react but natural instincts took over and he immediately settled. Of course Linda was really nice and offered unrequited hospitality. She was extremely knowledgeable and made it simple for us to understand how a bunny thinks.She took it upon herself to bond our misty for a week with our consent. She immediately gave our bunny some flea meds and yummy parsley.A week later we came and she had volunteers cleaning all the amazing housings she has built and we took our misty home along with a companion. This place is great and linda is awesome. My son and I brought our rabbit here for the first time today to get his nails trimmed. I have tried this several times with no luck and multiple scratches. Linda literally did it in 3 minutes with out our little oliver moving 1 bit. She was very informative and my 11 year old son learned alot. I asked her how much and she said no charge. She also sells hay and food extremely cheap. I gave her a donation and she insisted I take a bag of hay. We also found out that our little Oliver is not a he. Turns out oliver is a she. My husband and I fostered bunnies from this wonderful rescue. We were able to see which bunnies would fit with us best. We ended up fostering, then adopting 2 of the best little bunnies from this rescue. Our bunnies were rescued after having been dumped on the street and one of them was severly injured, almost losing his eye. This rescue went and picked up the bunnies, brought the injured one to the vet, who was able to save the bunny's eye. We had a Flemish Giant. He was sick, and we did not know what to do. I called and met Linda. She offered extensive consultation on the phone. She was compassionate and very helpful. Because the rabbits condition was concerning we decided to drive over to Linda's location. 15 minutes later we were face to face with Linda. She did the best she could for our little guy, but he was just too sick. He ended up dying, and Linda was the kindest, most accommodating person we could have been blessed to have been with. She help me and my 2 daughters deal with everything. I don't understand all the negative reviews. Linda cares about both people and rabbits. Finally learned a lot about bunny care and bunnies. I've had a few in my life and wish I had met Linda many years ago so I could have had happier bunnies. Better now than never. Linda's bunny palace is a sanctuary for bunnies that had been abandoned and/or abused. The housing is exactly what you'd want if you were a bunny. Besides giving bunnies a second chance, she and her team help with babysitting, food suggestions and bunny bonding. She was cleaver too in how she set the sanctuary up for protective living conditions. This place is perfectly situated for bunnies. I read one review that was ridiculous stating it was dirty. For those who want sterile environments, go to Petco and look at bunnies that will end up at Linda's. read more

My wife, daughter, and I just adopted two bunnies from this rescue, and everything about the experience was fantastic. We're first-time bunny people, but we did a lot of research and felt confident we were ready. The woman who runs the rescue (Linda) doesn't have ALL of the bunnies at her house; she has a few different people in the South Bay who keep bunnies for the rescue and she puts you in contact with them. The one reviewer who thought the place was "dirty" and "hoarding conditions" probably has never been to any kind of animal rescue place before. The very nice woman who invited us to her house to see some prospects had about 20 bunnies, but they were all WELL taken care of, healthy, and she truly seemed to LOVE animals. We learned a lot from her, and they even gave us food, pee pellets, a carrying case, and all the advice we could get for free. And they don't push a lofty "adoption fee" on you; they just ask you make any size donation that you think is appropriate. And this rescue will even "bunny-sit" for you if you go on vacation, as well as coordinate ANY medical treatments with the vets they know and work with all the time. We love our bunnies and they're doing great! I highly recommend this rescue! WAY better than going to a pet store. read more

Rabbits are NOT disposable and YOUR RESPONSIBILITY is *YOUR* responsibility. She quoted you $1000? That's cheap at the price. Do you honestly expect Linda or ANY other rescuer to just take your responsibility because you are too lazy and/or selfish to do the right thing? If you feel that Linda lectured you, it is because she had HOPE for you. ANYTIME a rescuer cheerfully takes an animal with no questions asked or without dialogue... it means they think you are too incompetent to have it, and will very probably be calling Children's services if you have minor children. Sorry you didn't like that Linda didn't buy your bullsheet. Sorrier still if YOU bought your own BS. You needed that lecture, and probably plenty more. read more

I visited and was shocked at the living situation for the rabbits. There is rotting food strewn about, many flies and old straw or hay on the ground. The yard space is very small and he rabbits are crowded into the small space. There was a very strong odor and everything feels neglected. This does not seem like the right place to house that many animals. The city of Redondo Beach puts a three cat or dog limitation on a homeowner, why is it ok for there to be 20 rabbits in this yard? read more

She comes off as very offensive. A few months ago I have gotten a rabbit from a pet store to bond with my other rabbit. The end result was that the rabbit was not getting along with my other rabbit and was constantly spraying its pee and attacking it. Also the rabbit would attack my family for no reason. It would sneak up behind me or my mom and bite and start scratching at our legs. It would also lunge at us. I wanted to find a really good home for this rabbit so I called this place. She started lecturing me over the phone putting it in a way that it was my fault that the rabbit was attacking me and my family. I tried to end the conversation politely seeing she wasnt the good fit for the rabbit but she wouldnt let me go and kept accusing me to the point of harassment. I am not an animal abuser. Over last 10 years of my life there has always been a bunny in our family that has lived a happy long life. I have taken care of my bunnies. The rabbit that I want to have adopted was very ill when I purchased it. Instead of taking it back, I nursed it back to health with numerous vet visits and medication. It is now very health but I am sorry to say it is not a good fit for the other bunny and my family. Never call this person. She insulted me and accused me of not taking care of my animals. If you care about the animal that you can no longer take care of DONT EVER CALL THIS LADY. Very nuerotic, rude, and offensive. When calling her I started the convo with, "Do you take rabbits in?" And she started accusing me of just wanting to dump my rabbit off with her like I didnt care. Just stay away from this place and person. read more

This is bunny heaven! If you're looking for your next companion then this is the place! Bunnies make the sweetest pets and Linda at TMB is a rabbit savior. A lot of these guys come from bad situations (or irresponsible "owners") but here they can find a new life. I've gotten a few rabbits over the years from Linda and loved everyone.
