Heather micro-bladed/shaded my brows 6 weeks ago and we just had my follow up session and they look FANTASTIC!!!! She was very detailed making perfect measurements so my brows would be even. The healing process went perfectly following her detailed instructions. (Trust the process .. day 4-5 )  I absolutely love it! I look put together even without make up and had saved me a lot of time in my make up routine because my brows are already on point without having to do too much to it after the service. I finally decided to go the microblading route for my sparse brows, and believe me, I did my homework prior to selecting a salon. My appointment was with Heather, and I cannot tell you HOW MUCH I LOVE THESE BROWS! They take years off my face, and look so natural (I don't look overdone - but I do look put together, even with minimal additional makeup). It's only been 2 days, but I have had dozens of compliments on them. Go see her! Note: we are still in the Covid pandemic, and as a nurse, safety is very important to me. I went to Heather Cooper at Toolbox to get my eyebrows microbladed, as they have thinned over the years and i have lighter color brows already. Heather was very patient with me, as i had many questions and i was a bit anxious. The procedure itself felt like mild scratches and hurt only very slightly for a day or so, like a mild sunburn. Recovery just entailed keeping salve on them (supplied by Heather) and avoiding getting them wet, scratching, etc. Cut to the chase; I LOVE my new eyebrows! Every time i look in the mirror i notice and am so pleased with them. People I have shown them to all say they can't see anything that doesn't look like hairs, it is so realistic. Liv recently colored my daughter's hair. She wanted a vibrant blue and we have had trouble getting a rich color in the past. Liv had a consultation with us before booking so she could look at her hair and determine what she needed to do for the color to work well. She was great with my daughter, who is 10, and made her feel comfortable the entire time. Her hair turned out perfect! The blue was vibrant and looked great. It also has lasted a very long time, even with all of the sun and swimming she has been through this summer. We have already booked her again for a back-to-school appointment. I tried Heather from a groupon for a shellac mani and spa pedi combo. She was very attentive, friendly, and detail oriented. She had a little trouble with one of my toes (I recently chipped off part of it so it wasn't the prettiest or easiest nail to work with) and she took her time to get it right. Heather is a one woman shop but it's super cozy and relaxing to be there. She even educated me about the differences between shellac and gel polish! Heather has only been in the solo business for about a year and she's already expanding and moving to O'Bryonville! I would definitely recommend Heather. She does book out a couple of weeks in advance sometimes so I would check her schedule, but I'm very happy with my services! read more

The only reason this is even getting 2 stars is because it was a very cute environment and the girls were nice. However, this is the worst quality manicure and pedicure I've ever had. I paid 70 for shellac mani pedi and have no idea how they have the balls to charge that price and not even paint my entire nail or even manicure my nails. As in my cuticles were never pushed back or clipped and my feet still have dry parts/calluses or whatever. I got this manicure 3 days ago and it already looks like it's grown out and needs to be redone. I have the shellac kit myself and never treat myself to getting them done "professionally". I can do 100% better job on myself than she did. Very disappointed, would NOT recommend or go back. I booked two shellac mani pedi with a friend and she said she could do both at the same time. I told her I was running late but she assured us it was fine and she had time to do it. I would have gladly taken just a pedi since we were late (15 mins ) if it meant it would have been quality. read more

I can't comment on the makeup - although we've heard they do a beautiful job. Toolbox cancelled on my daughter the day before prom because her equipment was broken and she did not have a back up. She did not help find someone who was able to do airbrush makeup. Honestly, it would've been disappointing, not disastrous, if she didn't get makeup done for prom. However, if this was a wedding it would've been much more stressful. Perhaps this was just a fluke - but I would've expected a little more help in finding someone else or at the very least, a discount on a future service. None was offered. read more

Went for a manicure. Heather was 20 minutes late because she said she didn't know I was there. There were only 3 clients in whole salon so...? Because she was late she did my manicure super fast, in about 20 Minutes. Took off $5, but I technically got 1/2 a manicure for a $5 discount. Basically the same price as larger salons with all the bells and whistles. I wouldn't go back. read more

I had been getting my lashes by Heather and hair by Liv for over a year. Today, I had an appointment for both, but I (last minute) couldn't make my appointment because I had a sick child with a fever and vomiting who had to be picked up from school. So, I text Heather and informed her of the situation. An hour and a half later I have been charged $190!!! I have been informed that it is policy to charge full price for cancellations. Also, I live over an hour from this salon. To add insult to injury- Once, I had already driven to this salon (10 minutes before my scheduled hair appointment) and I receive a text from Liv stating she can't do my hair and needed to reschedule. Liv has sent text messages to cancel two appointments the day of and I have the text messages to prove it! Anyway, I politely said okay and never made a huge ordeal out of her having to cancel last minute. Fast forward to now, as a customer who had to last minute cancel I am not being given the same courtesy. Again, $190 for services not received!!! I see Bopha regularly for shellac pedicures and an occasional manicure. I really appreciate her knowledge, attention to detail and cheerful personality. I originally started coming because I exclusively look for non whirlpool pedicure bowls. I had a neighbor years ago who got a staph infection from an unsanitary pedicure, it has since made me extra careful and I just believe bowls without the jets to be safer. On my first visit, we were chatting and I learned that Bopha is a stickler for sanitation as well, so we jived right away. I also work in the salon industry, so my standards tend to be higher than most and I am always very satisfied with my experience and my results. I love the convenience of online scheduling, don't be intimidated by it, it really is fast and easy. I prefer to give my money to an individual working hard at a small business instead of these factory type nail salons. I if you're currently going to one of those places, I hope this review encourages you to give toolbox and Bopha a try, it's a totally different experience. read more
