I went to originally get my nails done (ended up with gel x) and then i decided to get my lashes done as well along with my eyebrows. Mylinh took amazing care of me along with making me feel so welcome. She was so fun to talk to and made sure I had the best experience possible. I've been going to Lynn for my simple gel manicures since June 2023 and she always does an amazing job. Takes her time and always willing to have a good laugh with you. The owner Mylinh is also so sweet, offers tons of services and makes sure you feel welcome! Had a fairly good experience. I was the only one in the salon for my appointment so it was nice to have the attention on me. Hyde park nails lists a full gel set at $35 but I ended up paying around $138 since I decided to get dip gel, ombré on 4 nails and get my toes pained the same color. I was a little shocked to hear that even just to paint my toes with gel - no pedicure (cuticle cutting, lotion, foot bath, etc) was an additional $35. Everything extra is an up charge so be careful what you ask for but I'm overall obsessed with them and they look super good! Just wish I could've spent less but that's my fault I guess. read more

Mylinh finally talked me into getting Microblading. At first I was so scared and skeptical. She assured me it would look so good and she was right!!! I had overplucked in the 90's so my eyebrows were small and non-existant. Now I get comments on how on point they are and they look so good on my face. Came here to try out a new nail salon (every ambiance is the same...) and was not disappointed. I was sad to see no one else was in there. It wasn't the most modern place, but I've definitely been in worse ones. They had a ton of color choices, mostly OPI. I couldn't really find the shade I wanted, but my nail tech Cam found the right shade for me. I cannot say enough good things about Cam... She paid extreme attention to the shape of my nails and made sure there wasn't any grit or dirt every time she painted them. They turned out exactly as I wanted and the price wasn't bad either... $33 ($2 discount for being a new customer) for a gel manicure. I'll definitely be back. read more

Came here for the first time for an SNS manicure. I was very impressed with my manicure! They had a great color selection and my nails look great. The color goes all the way to my cuticle (sometimes I get a manicure where it looks like it's grown out for a week already). I went to Hyde Park Nails for the first time this past week to treat myself to a manicure during lunch. The decor is pretty standard as far as nail salons go: minimal, slightly outdated and a couple of unnecessary framed nail pictures (note to ALL nail salons: nobody wears claws anymore like they did in 1992, so those pictures can go). One of the worst things about going during lunch is daytime TV. I was subjected to nearly an hour of Erica Kane and would have much rather been watching something -- anything -- else. Additionally, it was a little strange how, when I arrived, I was the only person there. Yet, after a few more people arrived it took nearly an entire hour to complete a manicure and Shellac paint job. Shellac (looks a lot like acrylic, but is on your real nails and lasts up to 14 days) is a bit pricier, and I knew that going in, but $15 for a manicure and $20 additional for Shellac is a bit much; not sure if I'll get that again. The people were very friendly. I wasn't overly impressed, but it was a positive experience nonetheless. And if I need to head somewhere during my lunch hour to pamper myself, I will certainly consider going back. read more

I made an appointment and waiting 35 minutes with foil on my hands while the lady was waiting on 2 other customers. When she finally waited on me, she rushed through my shellac manicure. They look horrible and feel sticky. I will not be returning and will end up having to go get my nails redone elsewhere this week. It may be cheap but not worth the time, money or bad experience. Went Wednesday for mani-pedi and brow wax. Pedi was great. Color I chose for fingernails was low and saw something being added to the bottle of polish- not sure what or why. Mani looked good that day but is now completely smudged ( less than 48 hours later). There were 2 other disgruntled customers in salon while I was there. As the manager(?) was trying to settle these issues, she hurriedly waxed my brows. Had to go home and cleanup this work as well. Paid $60 before tip for shoddy service. read more

I have been here three times over the last two years. I kept returning because I believed my experiences were a fluke, and the salon wasn't as bad as I remembered. After this past visit I will not be returning. I asked for a shellac polish change and was charged the full rate for a full manicure even though the only thing that occurred was a polish change. A very young girl took off my existing shellac and put on the new shellac. The shellac color was so off from the sample, and their explanation was that "sometimes it looks different than the sample but that was the color you (I) chose." Even after all of that, the shellac didn't even last 48 hours. At my previous visit, they were having issues with the air conditioning and it was almost unbearably hot. The technician had sweat dripping on my feet during the pedicure. I told them that I was ready to pay and leave but they kept assuring me that the air was on and it would cool down soon. read more

Stumbled upon them online after reading some reviews I called to see if they had a chrome shellac (which I LOVEE but not many shops carry) they did MyLinh told me to come in and she would take care of me right away; and that's what she did. Due to unforeseen circumstances she was the only one working today with a full schedule and her customer service was til top notch. I'm an avid traveler and have been to nail shops around the country. None have yet to compare to the amazing service I received with appointments coming in and out (appts and walking) she still did an AMAZING job she was kind, didn't rush, got me in and out in a timely manner and still explained to me every step of the way (things I wasn't aware of with my nail health) while she was doing my nails and pedi. I have always had a positive experience here. I normally get the gel manicure, which is a little on the pricey side, but definitely less expensive than at Ambiance. I think they have changed brands of gel polish since some of the previous reviews which mention OPI and how bad their nails looked. I have always had the opposite experience. Carl and Jess are the technichians who normally do my mani/pedi any time I come in there. They are both friendly, and they read their customers well, if it seems like you want to talk, they are very chatty and friendly- if you seem like you do not want to talk that day, they will be friendly, but not pushy or intrusive. My gel manicure here almost always lasts the full 2 weeks- the one time it didn't, I got fancy and asked for a sparkly layer over top, which led to 4 coats of polish, which made it a little bit too flexible and a few of the nails peeled off after less than a week, but I think that was just because it was too many coats, not because of anything they did wrong. The pedicures always come out so much better than many of the other places I have tried. This has become my home base nail salon, and one day, they took me even though they were getting ready to close down for the day. (Tuesdays are appointment only, and I didn't realize it.) They also have the neat little gel drier which zaps the polish dry in seconds instead of minutes- which rocks, because it makes for less UV exposure for your hands. Seriously, who wants to get skin cancer on their HANDS?! Thank God the folks at Hyde Park Nails will save me from that! ;) read more

I have been coming to get my lashes done with mylinh for the past year. I am cannot explain how important lashes and brows are to me and she always knocks it out of the park. The lash fill is so quick (only takes 20-30 mins) and is so reasonably priced! I recently got my brows micro-shaded by Mylinh too and have received a lot of compliments on them. Life is so much easier when i can wake up having my lashes and brows looking great. I feel so much more confident in my looks too read more

Highly recommended. I love this place. Cam did an excellent job. She takes her time and is very gentle. I have been to salons all across town and this is my favorite. The salon is clean and surprisingly doesn't smell like acetone the way most places do. Peaceful breathing and nice conversation, I would give Hyde Park Nails 6 stars if I could! The manager is also very nice, asking me about my experience and telling me I have pretty nails(Thank you!) made me feel very valued as a customer. If you're looking for shellac (which I do) they nail it (haha) every time, I went three weeks without any chipping or peeling on my hands. Of course my nails grew out but the shellac didn't budge until week four, then I finally went for a fresh coat. It is never terribly busy when I come by and I enjoy that a lot personally. Its relaxed and right next door to Keystone grill so your man can enjoy happy hour while your nails are getting done. There are only negative comments because people do not understand how hard men and women work in these salons. I can't even paint my nails by myself without making a mess.. I come to a salon and I give the person servicing me time to do a good job. I only go to the nail salon when I have time to relax. I was able to get a mani with shellac (three gorgeous coats because she was nice enough to do that upon my request because the color I chose was light and at Hyde park nails they will go out of there way to make a customer happy) as well as a full and very soothing pedi in an hour and 15 minutes. My nails look better than anywhere I have gone in NKY and downtown Cincinnati. I also had an eyebrow wax here and my experience was of course excellent, my brows never looked more on-point. I will request the manager as my waxer. She not only waxed and tweezed but also trimmed them with scissors and plucked again because my brows were very bushy. Worst pedicure ever, and quickest. 21 minutes in I was already getting polish. I told the man (older guy doing pedicure) how I had a painful ingrown toenail and asked if he could work on it. He barely clipped it and said "you'll be good." It was not good. I told him it still hurt and he said "you'll be good." He barely cleaned up my cuticles and was SO rushed. My pinky toenail is half painted. He also cut my nails so poorly. Some are really short and most are slanted. I asked if he could smooth out some because they still had the rough filing ridges on the end. He asked if it was ok and I said no, they are uneven. He said that some people like them round and some like them square. He didn't ask my preference and then there was NO consistency to the shapes. They look awful. This place is now under new management, and I have to say i'm in love with everything that came with that change. Everyone here is very friendly and accommodating. I came in for a shellac manicure and a lash extension touch-up. Tommy did my nails, and had great attention to detail. He asked if I was happy with the way things looked after every step--filing, shaping, painting, etc. I got exactly what I wanted! And of course, he used individually packaged and sterilized tools. They also just got over 100 new colors so that was definitely a perk. I was also very satisfied with my lash touch-up. She was much faster than the person I usually go to, while not sacrificing the quality I am used to. The touch up was done in a private room in the back in a comfortable lounge chair. Both services were provided with quality and care, at competitive prices. So happy I found this hidden gem so close to where I live.
