Met with Dr. Parmalee regarding receiving a steroid joint injection. Dr parmalee reviewed my file…read moreand said that I would hear back from a scheduler in less then a week. Ten days later, I had not heard from them so I called. A week later, I received a call and an injection appointment was made. Had the appointment today and it did not go well. I arrived early for a 9:15 am injection, with Dr. Parmalee. Was told to take off my clothes and put a gown on (for hip joint injection?). Sat in the gown and waited until 10 am before I decided visiting I-Spine was a mistake. I put my clothes back on and left. I have had steroid hip injections before, four this year, with another provider and each time, I left my clothes on and was in and out of the office in 10 minutes. Was frustrated and disappointed with the way my appointment went with I-Spine and their explanation on why it takes so long to have what should be a simple procedure. The explanation they gave was that they allow 60-90 minutes for this procedure that other clinics can successfully complete in less then 15 minute. I-Spine has a system that they follow that works for them, but to me, does not value the patient and the patients time. It seemed like they almost have an assembly line approach were patients are kept in a gown, waiting for their turn to receive care. I dint like this approach.......it is not for me.

Here I go again with Ispine. I can't get anyone to call me back no matter how many messages I leave…read moreon the nurses line. I just got out of the hospital after a 4 month stay and they gave me a very small amount of my pain medications until I can see my provider (Alexis Bolick). Ispine won't give me an appointment until the 17th, so I was told to ask for a bridge prescription to get me through until my appointment. However, NO ONE WILL CALL ME BACK!!!! And I am almost completely out of my medications, which means I will be going into withdrawals. I've been through this before with Ispine and the director called me personally, but evidently the problem has not been fixed. There seems to be no regard for the patient from this company.

I am new to seeing a chronic pain clinic & my insurance company set me up with Midwest Med…read moreManagement. My first appointment was with Ting Ting Li (Nurse practitioner). I was seated in a room & she walks into the room & says "Talk to me what is going on?" She did not introduce herself to me. I was telling her my issues & one of them is my arthritis in my tailbone (I fractured it in 2008 and it did not heal properly) I have degenerative spine issues, endometriosis & abdominal adhesive disease. I told her for treatments I went through the hysterectomy (for the endometriosis and Interstim Pelvic Therapy **a provider uses ultrasound waves and internal massage with exercise to strengthen the pelvic floor** the pain clinic is my last hope. She looked at me and said "Your endometriosis is cured with a hysterectomy but I don't know anything about endometriosis or the pelvic floor. Your gynecologist is irresponsible for sending you here he needs to fix it." She was condescending and harsh with her tone. She proceeded to tell me to increase my Gabapentin and I told her I would bring that information to my primary care and discuss it with him. She went on to say my MRI and CT scans of my back showed "shadows because of my weight," I informed her I am working with a nutritionist and physical therapist to lose weight. I also made it clear that I know my weight is not helping my issues but I need relief. She informed me my employer can fire me for being on narcotic pain medications and that she would not be able to see me without insurance. I told her I am currently working a 40 hour a week job & I sit at a desk all day, I also explained that as long as I am on prescription medications prescribed by a doctor/clinic I am okay. She rolled her eyes at me and gave me a prescription medication. She then stormed out of the room saying "You are NOT leaving here until you give a urine sample." I told the nurse (she was very sweet & kind) please do not ever set me up with her again, My next appointment I brought my dad in with me & I saw Kara Gratton PA-C. Before I saw Kara I gave them a urine sample. They did count my pills and said I was short 2 I explained to them My first prescription was August and there is 31 days in the month not 30, the nurse apologized and send in Gratton. I was informing Gratton of my pain issues and my new test results trying to find a little more relief. She asked me about increasing the Gabapentin and I explained I am on 1800mg per day and my primary (I have been with him for 14 years) was not comfortable raising my Gabapentin she rolled her eyes and said "whatever". She also asked if my gynecologist decided to "own the problem regarding my pelvic pain" I tried to explain as to why he can not go back in because of the 7 surgeries in the last 3 years in that area and it was not recommended. She rolled her eyes again and said "Your gynecologist is irresponsible." I explained to her he IS the best endometriosis specialist in Minnesota and I will gladly have him give her a call **FYI his name is Dr. Heegaard of OBGYN West and he is amazing** she never gave me any options for relief. She got up & left the room. My dad & I were shocked & she came back in with my prescription and threw it on the table and said in a rude tone "You will leave a urine sample" and slammed the door. My dad and I got up and found the nurse and asked if she could help us. The nurse went in and talked with Gratton and came back "we can put you on Tramadol" I explained to her I was allergic to tramadol (the allergy is hives&nausea) and she asked about Robaxin (it made my skin crawl) she told me no one has drug allergies unless they are seeking out drugs. My dad pleaded with her to do something and she rolled her eyes at him. I told my dad & the nurse "I see my primary today and I will ask him."& we left. I never went back. Grattons & Li's attitude was rude, condescending & they do not listen to the patient, They do NOT understand Endometriosis. If you are considering this clinic please reconsider.

I had been searching for a dentist to get new dentures for awhile now. They, either, don't take my…read moreinsurance or were too expensive. One Prosthodontist quoted he wanted $6500, and that was half price! I emailed Dentures ASAP on Wednesday morning. Within a half hour, they called me and set me up with an appointment the very next day! I was expecting to, maybe, get an appointment a week or more later. Almost as soon as I hung up, another lady called me. Within minutes, I received an email for forms they need so they would know my medical needs and other information. Talk about being on the ball. They do expect you to call them to confirm your appointment, even if they don't call you. On the way there, we had to call to get directions. The receptionist went to great lengths to help us. I got there five minutes early. I didn't have to wait long. Let me say, I had the most pleasurable and non stressful experience of any dentist I've ever gone to. That is saying quite a lot from a 78 year old woman, who has been wearing a denture since I was in my middle 20's. Christine, their dental assistant, made me feel at ease right off. She was very kind. And she did something I've only had at one other dental professional, which was a surgeon's clinic. She checked my blood pressure! Then she gave me a small pillow, for my head, so I would be comfortable. Dr. Burge, who bought the center from Dr. Dumass, was wonderful to me. He greeted me by saying, "I'm Dr. Burge", and shook my hand. He has been a dentist for 15 years. He was very proficient. He explained everything that he was going to do. I asked if they use the purple putty as I had a terrible, adverse reaction to that before. In order to make sure it wouldn't make me ill, he put a bit on my tongue. Imagine my surprise to find it had hardly any taste at all. He admitted that the stuff they used before, was horrible. Then he did something no other dentist has ever done. He used my own dentures for the molding for my new teeth. On top of that, he used them for the wax and putty molding as well where he took measurements of my mouth. I never had any dentist do that, either. He used some small machine that clicked when using it. He told me my dentures will be there in two to three weeks. Then he stated, if I didn't like something about them, let him know. As he put it, "You won't hurt my feelings." When he was finished, Christine stated, "No charge." Even though I have UCare MSC+ and Humana Medicare, you could have knocked me over with a feather. I asked, "Nothing?" Dr. Burge, joyfully quipped, "I don't want your money. Have a great blessed rest of your day. Christine then gave me three small tubes of adhesive and a new denture bath. I walked out of there with thankfulness in my heart and a huge smile on my face. I, strongly, recommend, if you need new dentures, to go to Dentures ASAP. Not only do they take Medicaid and Medicare but they help you sign up for payments through a dental company, Cherry that doesn't charge interest or fees. They also take CareCredit. I don't believe you will get a better experience anywhere else.
