I asked her to please stop yelling. I asked for a quote for a higher fence (5ft) as she explained to fix the current one (4ft) it would leave a huge gap at the bottom which my dog could get out. She said she would send a quote. A month later I followed up again. She then replied they will not come and fix it. I've recommended them to my family and friends after this first install. This time was very upsetting to see the lack of service and professionalism after the sale. Buyer beware. I would not recommend based on this experience.

YG Fence Nightmare - Part II…read more Part 1 review - I hired YG Fencing to do $45,000 worth of wood and wrought iron fence work tree and removal at my home. In the process, Gavino, the CEO and my contact, caused $2,950.00 worth of damage to my pool. He readily acknowledged his fault and agreed to pay for the restoration work in total. He promised to pay the full balance by the completion of the work, which was completed on April 20, 2026. He did not honor his word and continued to avoid making restitution until finally making a partial payment of $2,000.00. When asked to pay the remaining $950.00 he refused citing the need for proof of workers' compensation insurance, W-9, and a contractor's license and general liability insurance. Part II - On June 27, 2026, I paid the remaining $950.00 of Gavino's responsibility that YG Fencing refuses to pay. I cannot in good conscience screw honest, hardworking small business owners out of compensation for work contracted for and completed the way YG Fencing does with such ease. Had I read their Yelp and Better Business Bureau reviews before signing a contract with them, I would have seen how this kind of business behavior is not at all out of the ordinary. In fact, since my intital Yelp review, I have had other readers who were clients of YG Fencing contact me sharing their similar stories of nightmare experiences with YG Fencing. Most refer to Gavino's ability to make such a strong positive first impression that the customer is lulled into a false sense of security that makes them let their guard down and not research this sham company more thoroughly. Shame on me for falling for Gavino's conman tactics. Had I read the reviews, I would NEVER have gone with this sorry excuse of a business. YG Fencing's request for workers' compensation insurance, W-9, and a contractor's license and general liability insurance is just another example of them trying to avoid their responsibility for the damage Gavino caused to my pool through negligent practices during the installation of the wrought iron fence around my pool. If securing these items was truly an issue, why did YG Fencing FINALLY after a series of excuses, lies, and machinations, make the partial payment of $2,000.00? YG Fencing was not using the pool restoration company, a sole proprietor company, as a sub-contractor. These documents were unnecessary. I am assuming they needed time to come up with yet another reason as to why they couldn't honor their word. Again, while Gavino was quick to acknowledge his fault, his actions on behalf of YG Fencing for the past 3 months prove that he was actively trying to avoid honoring his word and "doing the right thing" (his words, not mine) to remedy the situation. The request for these documents is absurd and clear evidence of manipulation. Again, as I said in my first review, steer WAY clear of YG Fencing.

It's going on about four months since I contracted with YG and still the job is not completed. YG continuously failed to meet his own deadlines to install. After initial install about two months ago I paid several thousand dollars in full. I was left with defective lock and missing several other gate pieces. I have had to repeatedly call/text to ask for completion. On the few times he responded, he committed to complete the items. Now after four months, no completion and he fails to respond. I am stuck with a defective lock and missing other pieces he committed to doing. DO NOT USE THIS GUY! And if you do, do not pay him until you are fully satisfied the work is complete. Terrible experience! Note: This is a reposting of my original negative post. YG had asked me to take the original post down and they would do as they had originally committed. The did replace the lock, but still continually failed to correct the other items when they responded saying they would. Now approx. seven months of begging them to do as they committed (and their responding and then failing to act and respond), I am reposting the original negative review. Again - TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Also note that owner Ruben's comments are all incorrect (they originally committed to doing these minor items) and he was the one that asked me to take the original post down. He and another owner then repeatedly committed to fixing them to no avail.

They rebuilt a galvanized steel pasture fence that is on very difficult mountainous terrain. The land is ungraded, uneven, and sloping. The original fence was unable to withstand the last couple of winter storms and was leaning and seperating. Instead of just shoring up here and there and doing patch work, they reset every post. This involved digging below and around the original footing, mixing and pouring concrete, and aligning each post and bar. Then they welded the posts and bars for stability. They also built a crossbar brace for the gate, which, to me, is a thing of beauty. The project was very challenging, yet the crew was dedicated to the task and brought it to a successful completion. After 4 days of watching the crew work, I have to admit I miss them not being here every morning, they were not just industrious but polite and pleasant. I am not just satisfied, but feel joy when looking over to the pasture and seeing this fence which is both solid and beautiful. I would not hesitate to use J&D Fence again and am happy to recommend them.

How long do you expect your new fence to last?…read more 30 years? 20 years? 10 years? 5 years? Then JD Fence is probably not the right company for you. We hired them to replace our 35 year old fence in November 2021. The job was completed on schedule and we had no issues initially. Then after a couple years we started to notice some warping, separation, and cracking (see attached photos). We weren't very happy about this, but did not contact JD Fence. Then, recently we noticed that one 45 foot section of the fence is completely wobbly and in danger of falling down due to rotted posts. So after a mere 4+ years, the fence is in worse condition than the 35 year old fence it replaced. At this point we of course did contact JD Fence, and reported the problem to the receptionist. She said she would have someone contact us. A week went by and we heard nothing, so we called again. At this point we were told that a company representative would come out a few days later and have a look. One of the owners came out and look at the situation. I showed him the very wobbly fence. At first he was hemming and hawing, mumbling, and scratching his head. Then suddenly he asked if my neighbors are over-watering their landscaping. I have no evidence of that, and told him so. I asked if the treated posts are not waterproof. His response to that was to blame environmentalists for poor quality treated lumber. So, a bunch of excuses, and no sympathy or solutions. He then left, but assured me that the company would call back to further discuss. Of course, nobody ever called back. So after another week, I called back again. I was put in touch with the same guy who had come out to do the inspection. He was very defensive again, saying they did the job right, the neighbor is probably over watering, and the tree huggers ruined the treated lumber. These are literally the excuses he used. At no point did he offer any sort of remedy other than for us to have the job redone correctly completely at our expense, possibly using metal fence posts instead of treated wood 4x4's. I asked him why nobody had called back after being promised a follow-up call. More pathetic excuses such as "maybe the paperwork got buried". Nothing serious, and at no point did he apologize or take responsibility for anything. I unfortunately did not ask him why they knowingly install posts that are likely to rot in just a few years, and why this information is not disclosed to customers. To summarize, this experience exposed poor communication, failure to follow up as promised, a total lack of care or concern for the customer, and an absolute unwillingness to back their products and service. Hire this company at your own risk. These are the facts. I expect a rebuttal to this review from JD Fence, and I look forward to seeing what feeble excuses, alibis, and explanations they come up with. Should make for some entertaining reading...

I was able to ask questions of those folks who were posting and narrowed down (WAY down) the lists of who I'd want to start a conversation with. And they were enthusiastic in responding! My personal residence had about 7 rotted out fence posts and my neigbhor and I agreed on splitting the costs, to begin looking into it. I reached out to Tim, the owner, and began the process of getting us a quote. And, I'm glad that I did! All the best attributes of working with a professional were apparent. Tim was friendly, listened well and directly answered questions. He communicated well and was on time! In person, he was friendly and offered some suggestions and did what he said he would each step of the way. The bid came promptly and was professionally laid out including a basic diagram/graphic of the fence in relationship to the homes and clearly marking each post that was to be replaced. It's also listed each property owner and the 50/50 split. Things matched up perfectly and exceeded expectations. The two man crew arrived when they were supposed to. They were friendly and very polite. They too were personable and answered questions directly. Everyone was just easy to work with! The way you always hope it would be... Look, let me save you some time. I've been working with multiple properties for 30 years with even much more extensive projects and this IS the company you want to work with!
