I have been here two times, but never got my hair cut. The first time I was prepared to get my haircut this past summer, but when I entered the place, my nose smelled something I did not like. All thoughts about getting my haircut went out the window. Today, I thought I would try again. Maybe there was something going on that I did not know about and it was a one time thing. The place was busier this time from what I saw. Unfortunately once I entered the establishment, I smelled that smell of body odor, chemicals or something else altogether. Whatever it was, I felt nauseous and ended up doing just that about 9 minutes later. I met Patrick who seems like a cool guy, but what ever I was smelling made me sick. This is an all-around great place to get your haircut, it is very family friendly and welcoming. With there being many barbers and it being open 7 days out of the week, the availability is superb. I still personally recommend scheduling just in case however, if you decide not to, there is no need on worrying about waiting too long at this place. Les is a true professional and experienced barber. He managed to provide the exact look that I wanted even with the little detail I provided. He was very respectful and never paused in the middle of the haircut for any reason. Great place to go to for a quality cut without the over expensive prices. I went in hoping to support a local business and have never in my life received such awful service at a barber shop. I requested a shave only and the barber cut off half of my hair without asking, and that is to say nothing of the absolutely awful, patchy shave that I had to re-do on my own. Our 2 year old just got a cut here. The bartenders were great. They actually talked to him. He was as calm as could be and didn't move an inch. I have been a customer here since I first came to the DMV in 2011. I'd recommend any and all of the barbers here for any hair texture. They use a variety of methods to ensure everyone leaves with a great cut **that last**. Everyone is very friendly and the entire environment is very family friendly. There was a regular guy that came in and during a conversation, he said a couple of words that were't family friendly so they asked him to watch to mind his language and respect the shop and it's customers. Waited patiently for over an hour to get a haircut, but patron after patron we're serviced first despite the fact that I had arrived earlier than them. The late comers clearly didn't have appointments, but seemed to be known by the staff. The only difference between me and them was my race. After being passed over five times, I left. I love this place. It's a family-oriented environment. Although you have a challenge with parking due to it being on the corner of a busy atmosphere. There's a shopping plaza across the street which was condemned a few years ago and now it has resurfaced with 20+ brand new stores. You have to decided at this point if you're allowed to park there with their new "restricted" parking signs. I would say at this point, park in the street without being towed. This barber shop is great, well scratch that...the barbers in this shop are great. First of all there is ALWAYS a barber working as they are open SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! So if you are ever in dyer need of a haircut, you'll be fine. Secondly these barbers cut all types of hair which is good for them as they don't limit themselves by falling within a specific niche. Lastly, so far all of the barbers can cut! When I was trying to figure out which barber was going to be my main barber I had to go through a couple just to find the one I liked the most, but I was never disappointed with any of the cuts I received throughout the process. Top class barbershop was a nice, pleasant experience being new to the area. The barbers were polite, professional, and attentive. I had a wait of about 30 minutes, but it was my first time. I went to this place for the first time after living in the area for eight years. My husband started taking our boys a few months ago. I simply needed a shape up and trim. I had an 8:00 appointment, as I'm a busy mom.and wife, I like to get things done early. Augustine was my barber. He was on time, professional and cordial. I brought my 3 year old on a Thursday evening before picture day. We were seen fairly promptly and Anthony cut my sons hair. There was a slight language barrier and maybe my vision was lost in translation (I wanted to keep his curls on the top and sides and wanted a light taper) but I'm a mom so I probably didn't speak "barber" the way a dad would.
