The first time i got my nails done there Hannah had done them for me and i am a return customer for mani and pedi ever since she does an amazing job and charges a decent price. I always get long coffin with French tips with designs she had charged me around $75 or $85 max. This time around i had brought my friend because she would compliment me on where i get my nails done and she wanted to get them done also Jennifer had hurt her multiple times and while i was getting my application done it had started to burn really bad. I had asked for an almond shape with French tips, they had turned out like nothing i expected. For a very short almond with French tips Jennifer charged me $75 mind you the nails looked shorter than my natural nails and also i am a minor. My friend had also told me that Jennifer had thrown her supplies on her hands multiple times. The girl that did my nails wasn't experienced but she was very kind but Jennifer was very rude to us she butted in on us telling the girl to go so she could deal with us. Her customer service was really bad. My friend got a long coffin with French tips and gold glitter on one of the French tips for her nails Jennifer charged her $75 which makes absolutely no sense because her nails were way longer than mines with long French tips and glitter also while mine was just a simple very short almond with French tips. I am also a returning customer and have been there multiple times and i have never seen Jennifer yet she claims she is the manager. Rating two stars at this time due to being seated pretty fast and that the staff were sweet. Overall, I'm not sure if I would go here again for acrylics or if it could've just been my experience with the nail tech who did my fill. I added two images of the French tip and I genuinely appreciate the effort the nail tech attempted to make the French tip design as "skinny" as possible. I did not like the shape and how thick/inconsistent the acrylic was. Personally, I wouldn't come here again for French tips. As for pedicures, I do not have images to share, however the service was a bit odd. I had shellac and I'm used to soaking my feet in other salons...so it was a bit odd I didn't get to soak them before the shellac was being filed off. It felt uncomfortable and I could definitely feel the "heat" from the filing machine filing the shellac polish off. Again, I'm not sure if it was because maybe the nail tech was a new hire? I bought my sister a $100.00 gift certificate for her birthday. She went in for a pedicure and tried to use the certificate. She was told first that it had expired, but there was no expiration date. Then she was told that they are under new ownership and are not honoring old gift cards. It's still operating under the same name on her gift certificate, there is no signage inside or outside saying that gift cards purchased before such and such date are no longer accepted. Went in for a manicure for the first time and was quite shocked that the lady doing my nails was using tools that were already used on someone else. I asked her if the tools were cleaned and she said yes although I can clearly see the dirty on them. The minute she noticed I could see what's on the tools she quickly brought out alcohol and started wiping the tool she was using. Then she proceeded to work on my cuticles and nicked me . Had a 3:30 appt. for two of us to get manicures. Upon getting there, on time, we were't acknowledged at all, had to flag someone down and were rudely told to check in. We then waited for 45 minutes to only have them offer to seat the two of us far apart. We asked if we could sit side by side, told no. While waiting we had a couple of questions, one pretty basic of what/where the color choices were for a dip manicure, were pretty much ignored, another customer showed us where the colors were. Took two hours and the tips she used seem one size too small for my fingers, she had to press them on longer and when filing it hurt me alot. Now they don't hurt since the acrylic was thick. I go here twice a month, so you can say I'm a regular. Their Royal Pedicure seems pricey ($50) but it's worth it if you're looking to treat yourself. I would give it four stars for the work they do & the COVID precautions they have in place BUT sometimes they do take in more people than they can handle and you have to wait quite a while. Sometimes I'd come here with a friend or my mom and they'd be done giving them a pedi before they even start with me. I've seen people walk out because they waited so long. At one point, they didn't finish my manicure until after 8:30PM (even though they close at 7:30 on a weeknight) because they didn't have anyone that can do my mani right after my pedi. I have been going to this place on and off for about 15 years .. even before they were Top Coat. Monday night I went in to get my nails done and upon walking in I was ignored for 15 mins before finally being acknowledged by the owner. I realized that there were others sitting down as well, that looked like they may have been waiting too ( I counted 9 other women!) .. I was never asked if I had time to wait or told how long I'd be waiting for. They just let me, and everyone else sit there. The worst part is that the women who did my pedi not only made me bleed badly .. but she left a ton of dead skin AND nail polish all over my toe... Lady who did my pedicure was excellent- very meticulous and spent a long time working on my cuticles. The lady who did my nails was fast and furious and cut me a few times. They didn't talk to me- which is actually fine with me. They still have Covid protocols in place and everything appeared sterile and clean. I watched them throughly clean up after each client.
