My daughter started at TopKids when she was not yet three years old. She had never been away from me before, so the first few days were very difficult and she cried a lot. However, the teachers and the principal were incredibly patient, supportive, and caring. They gave her so much love and help during the transition. Soon she began to enjoy going to school every day. She often tells me how much she loves her teachers, especially Susie and Francine, and how happy she is playing with her classmates. As a parent, I feel very grateful that my child's first school experience was with such kind and wonderful teachers who truly care about the children and help them grow with confidence. The meals at the school are also great. The food is freshly prepared by the chef every day, and my daughter always enjoys it. For context, my eldest child has been enrolled in 3 different daycare centers; my younger 2 children have been enrolled in to 2 different daycares (including Top Kids). I consider the San Gabriel and Rosemead Top Kids daycares as one facility in this review. Thank you Top Kids for being there when we needed you the most. Three of my children attended Top Kids from February 2020 to Summer 2023; they originally started at the San Gabriel location but moved to Rosemead when Top Kids consolidated campuses. Top Kids stayed open throughout the pandemic and my kids never caught COVID-19 from Top Kids throughout the pandemic. I mention this as a good indication of their cleaning practices, etc. The campus may look a bit dated but that can be expected considering the wear and tear from the kids, etc. For a daycare facility to stay open and keep everyone safe is a major feat. I believe they stayed open throughout the pandemic because they knew how much the working parents needed Top Kids to help with childcare. For this, I am eternally grateful. Ms. Suzy: thank you for potty-training my children. My eldest child started kindergarten during the pandemic. We kept her enrolled at Top Kids and they helped her sign on to her Kindergarten class and do what she needed to do her distance learning. Top Kids' being able to pivot so quickly and help my child and all of the other kids at Top Kids with distance learning through the pandemic was amazing. Last school year, I had to scramble to find after school care for my older 2 kids (eldest was in 2nd grade) 2 weeks prior to the school year starting. So I am grateful to Ms. Monique, Ms. Mickey, and Ms. Marcella for coordinating after school transportation so that I could pick up all 3 of my kids at Top Kids after I finished work. Initially, I was nervous entrusting someone I never met to drive my kids from school to Top Kids, but as working parents with no extended family support-we do what we have to do. My kids love Ms. Mickey and still point out landmarks that remind them of Ms. Mickey. They never got into an accident and were safe. My youngest attended their preschool program and when he started Kindergarten in 2023, he was well prepared (and was ahead of his peers). He was born in February so this may also contribute to him being able to transition to Kindergarten so easily. Ms. Suzy, Ms. Silvia, Ms. Francine, Ms. Marcella, Ms. Yansi, Ms. Monique, and Ms. Mickey, and Mr. Brian are who my kids remember the most (I'm grateful to the whole team so I apologize if I forgot anyone). It's been a few months out of Top Kids but my kids still ask if they could stop by to see their friends. Thank you Top Kids, Ms. Monique, all the teachers, for helping our family get through these past few years. If you're lucky to enroll your kids here, you won't regret it. This review has been long overdue. This will probably be my only review I ever post on yelp as this is how strongly I feel about Top Kids in Rosemead. My son attended Top Kids Aug.2021-2022 and daughter Aug.2023-2024. My nephew is now attending. If you are considering Top Kids, please ask to tour the grounds with Mrs. Francine. She relieved my fears, ensured child safety, explained how the leaning environment worked, and so much more. She is top notch compared to the other preschool tours I attended in the local area. Overall, every teacher, aide, chef, administrator is wonderful. They truly care and do their best. What I appreciate the most is their honesty when asking about my child's performance and behaviors. (Parents: learn how to accept and use constructive criticism to your child's benefit) Here's the long version: When potty training started at my home (kids age: 2.5), it was quite difficult (as needed vs. structured), however in the Top Kids toddler class, my kids caught on somewhere between 6-8 weeks due to the structured environment. The benefit of your child being potty trained was a reduction in monthly tuition and transferring into Mrs. Francine's class. Mrs. Francine and her aides are excellent. I only have praises all around for what they do. In terms of education, she teaches letters, number, days of the week, months of the year, etc. through various techniques: writing, reading, singing, whatever her creative mind thinks of to help each individual student excel. There are also special projects such as raising caterpillars and letting the butterflies fly away, planting seeds in a cup to grow, holiday related themes. I'll stop there not to give away Mrs. Francine's surprises. Everytime I picked up my kids, Mrs. Francine would give me a synopsis of the day, if my kid behaved, ate, slept, etc. If I asked for parenting advice, she was happy to share her experiences and knowledge. Lastly, there's Mrs. Silvia's class. My son had her class for maybe 2 months before starting public school. Her class is very focused on 1st grade preparation. It's advanced compared to public school TK/K/1st grade. My one regret is that I should have kept both my kids at Top Kids for Ms. Silvia to teach them. My kids are bored in public school to this day. A personal note to Mrs. Francine: I am eternally grateful to you for the way you have shaped my children's character, Grey (1st grade) and Ally (TK). They have retained their thirst for knowledge through curiosity. They are confident, outspoken, and top in their class in public school. I hope Cat in the Hat has time to make an appearance in 2025. read more

My daughter started when she was 2. Ever since she started she talks so much more now and loves her teachers! Ms. Susie, Ms. Anissa, Ms.Sylvia, Ms.Jennifer, Ms.Francine and Ms.Lisa allll love my daughter. The communication is great if anything happens, when I drop her off she is greeted with open arms, she loves going outside. There's always 2 teachers in each class. I even recommend to my friend who's enrolling her son when she toured. Sometimes my daughter doesn't even want to leave and to me that's a great sign because she's enjoying it. First few weeks can be tough for a child starting and away from mom but the teachers help with that and if you want to call throughout the day to see how your child is doing they don't mind as they're moms and know how hard it can be too. read more

My wife and I spent roughly a month checking out preschools in the Monterey Park-Rosemead-Alhambra-San Gabriel area, and have visited more than 15 places with our daughter. This would be our daughter's first school experience, and our priority was (and still is) to cultivate her love for learning and for school. After combining our own evaluation and our daughter's preference, we chose to enroll her in TopKids. This is one of the best decisions we have made for her. Our daughter is placed in Ms. Francine's class due to her age, and we all love that! Ms. Francine is such an expert in the field of early childhood education. My son was not able to enroll in public school because his birthday was a few days after the cut off date. I searched around the area, toured several schools, and am happy that I found Top Kids. Like most parents, I was anxious when my son first started school. I thought, "What if he doesn't make any friends? What if the teachers don't have the same patience I have?" This is the first school experience for my little man. Ms. Francine is his classroom teacher. She has helped us through the most difficult phase; the separation anxiety. At times I was mentally exhausted because he didn't want to go to school, but Ms. Francine gave me encouragements and mental supports; daily. My little man turned from not wanting to go to school to look for Ms. Francine in the morning. He is now able to enjoy school time.. He comes home and acts out everything he did in school; story time, dance and sing. He is 2.5 years; he knows his alphabet and colors, shapes and count to twenty. My family brought their children here and when I had children of my own Top Kids came highly recommended. I inquired and the director Ms. Monique was very informative and helpful. She is the sweetest woman ever. I brought my son in for a trial run and he loved it. Ms. Francine went over the daily schedule, the curriculum, prices and our options. Ms. Francine was my nephews lead teacher years ago and now my son is in his class and he adores her. She is very attentive and the most patient person ever. My son started attending Top Kids at 2 years old part- time (3 days a week) and eventually eased into being full time. He was still in diapers when he started and within a week or 2 he was potty trained. He is 4 now and has been with Ms. Francine since he was 3 and he loves it there. No complaints what so ever. My daughter attended Top Kids for a year and a half and we couldn't have been happier with the learning and friendships that she made. My son started at Top Kids when he was 2.5 yrs old. He was very very shy and attached to me, so I was very nervous about putting him in school. He started in the non potty trained class with Ms.Alex, and she basically became his "mommy" at school. She would calm and comfort him when he cried at school. I have two boys. One is currently attending Top Kids and the other is in elementary school who used to attend Top Kids. The teachers are all very friendly and take the time to answer questions you may have. I like the fact that lunch and snacks are provided, so I do not have to pack the food. Ms. Sylvia did wonders to help my niece transition to kindergarten. I am looking forward to her working her magic again with my son. I came into this horrible school for information because I wanted to possibly enroll my child. I was very displeased for many reasons. The toys looked old and worn out. The children were all over the place which proved no structure. What really made me uncomfortable was the teacher with blonde hair. She was very mean to the children. I heard her yelling at a child very loud prior to her seeing that I was in the school. Overall, the high tuition was not worth it based on lack of supplies and also because the quality of care of at least the older blonde teacher made it seem low. read more

The Teachers are extremely friendly and interact well with the parents and children. The teachers are very passionate about what they do and demonstrate this to the kids. My son has been in Topkids since he turned 2. He adores all his teachers. They are very nurturing, patient kind and loving. MS.Marcella helped us potty train our son and within a short 2 week he was able to independently go on his own. When he did have his accidents, she was soo patient and would clean him up ( by cleaning him up, i mean she actually CLEANED him up so that he wouldn't have urine residue on his legs and smell ) She is super sweet and would treat your child as she would her own. At 3.5 years old he graduates to their -PRE-K- Class . Ms. Francine and Ms. Rebecca is the PreK teacher. He has developed tremendously being in their class. He is now able to write confidently free hand. Recognize a variety of shapes, colors, days of the weeks, numbers, and alphabets. MS. Francine is a great teacher with a lot of experience with kids. All the kids love her and call her " My Francine" lol. She creates a good learning structure with a fun flair! The Director of the school Ms. Monique is super sweet and very caring. She takes the time to understand the needs of every child and addresses them. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with this school and would recommend it to anyone read more
