While we initially considered several kindergarten options, we are so glad we decided to stay to maximize the benefits of a Montessori education. Beyond academic advancement, the teachers at AMS were nurturing and incredibly supportive of his emotional development. We feel that the school curriculum is well-balanced between academics and the playtime children need to thrive. They have a wonderful backyard with playgrounds, and our son loved playing outside every day the weather permitted. Though we initially worried about his transition to a public first grade, he adjusted quickly and smoothly. We have seen his creativity and love for learning truly bloom over the past year. I fully believe in the Montessori method, and the foundation he built at AMS is an invaluable asset for his future. We are truly thankful to all the wonderful teachers and staff at AMS!

Not only do they continue to help our daughter grow and give her the personalized attention she needs in class, on the playground, in daycare. But they have gone to the whole way to the mat for her to advocate for the essential services she will need to continue to learn and grow. Our daughter may well be stronger and even safer years after she graduates from AMS because of their limitless advocating for her. Separately, our daughter is now communicating at what an independent assessment has said is a level 1.5 years above her age group. And she's an increasingly confident and determined little person. Someplace else, she might be reciting more things by rote or I don't even know what skill someone might need a toddler to have. Instead, she can and will tackle anything. It just doesn't occur to her there's something she can't do. They are an enormous part of that. And just great partners in all aspects. I'm a better mom because I know them. Arcadia Montessori school is not just a school of magnificently talented, dedicated and kind people. They *love* their students. They advocate for and protect kids way beyond what one could reasonably expect from anyone other than immediate family. They just bring tears to my eyes - more than I'd like to admit! And just yesterday when I went to pick up our daughter who otherwise has deep separation anxiety said - mama, can you come back a little later?

She truly makes the transition from Pre-K to Kindergarten so smooth. She helps the kids come out of their shell, improve their eating habits, and grow so much in their development overall. Ms. Eden is also amazing! She teaches Kinder through 3rd grade, and my daughter has learned so much from being exposed to different grade levels. Her reading has improved tremendously thanks to the supportive environment. The school also offers a fun summer camp program, where you can choose different activity packets and the kids go on trips Monday through Friday. My daughter loves it -- she's always excited to go and spend time with her friends. I've seen such a positive impact on all the kids here. Many who started out with separation anxiety or shyness now love coming to school every day. That says a lot about the teachers and how they connect with the students. One of the main reasons we went with this school was because of all the positive reviews and the smaller class sizes, which allow for more one-on-one attention between teachers and students. They also provide a yearly schedule so parents always know what's going on, and their early drop-off and late pick-up (until 5:30 PM) make it very convenient for working families. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a place where their child can learn, grow, and feel genuinely cared for.

I cannot explain how grateful I am to have found a place where I felt so safe and comfortable leaving my child as a first time parent/working mom. Ms. Hema cared for the infants as if they were her own, and we still keep in touch with updates on the kids even though she is no longer at the school. My son has learned so much as he's transitioned through the various classrooms and is leaving with so much more knowledge, kindness, and skills to navigate life, than I could have imagined. Ms. Melani, Ms. Daisy, Ms. Kaushi and all of the Wee Care staff - you all have made such a lasting impact on our family! And Ms. Haydee of the Owls Class... she is truly a gem with a heart of gold. She is always so kind when she speaks, always willing to follow along with my kids' morning routine of saying goodbye at the window, and the one my son can't wait to share updates with on Monday after his weekend adventures. She is an amazing preschool teacher and I could not have asked for someone better to help set my son up for success as he starts his new adventure as a kindergartener. Working with infants is such a special experience, and it's wonderful to see how much love, patience, and attention all of the teachers here give each child. Seeing an infant's personality develop and watching them become more confident and curious is incredibly rewarding. The teachers genuinely enjoy being with the children, and there is so much joy in the infant classrooms. We work hard everyday to provide a caring, safe, and stimulating environment where babies can explore and develop while receiving the individual attention they need. I feel fortunate to work with a team that truly cares about the children and takes pride in creating positive experiences for them every day.

Throughout every stage, she grew academically, socially, and emotionally thanks to the incredible teachers and structured curriculum. Although she missed the first‑grade cutoff by 4 days, her new public school offered an assessment -- and because of the exceptional teaching and learning at AIP, she passed the assessment and was approved to move up to first grade. As a parent, I felt genuinely sad when it was time to leave AIP. I truly wish they had an elementary program because the teachers and curriculum are exceptional. We absolutely love all the teachers there -- every single one played a meaningful role in my daughter's growth. We always felt she was in a safe, caring, and inspiring environment. Ms. Emilene (administrator) stayed in touch with us the whole time and let us know as soon as the center reopened and started taking students again. Our daughter was able to start right as she turned 2 -- around the same time we were expecting our second child. The safety procedures the school had put in place made us feel comfortable. Being new parents, we were nervous that our daughter might not enjoy her time there or feel abandoned. The pre-primary teachers were loving, caring, and attentive, and always made her feel safe and seen. The tears faded quickly, and soon she was having fun in class. The teachers were a blessing when it came to potty training and teaching table manners. As she moved on to the Primary and Advanced Primary classes, her teachers helped instill real independence and a love of learning -- she was reading by age 4. We had just as wonderful an experience when we enrolled our son in the toddler program at age 1. The teachers were attentive and careful with diaper changes and his food allergy. I also want to give a special shout-out to Mr. Anthony, who prepares all the meals and snacks for the kids (yes, meals and snacks are included in tuition once children reach pre-primary!). He creates menus that expose kids to a variety of foods while carefully considering choking hazards and allergies. My kids still tease me that they like his mac and cheese better than mine! I am sad to say that this is our last summer with Montessori Academy as my son (now 4) is on his way to TK next year. Montessori Academy does an amazing job preparing children for grade school (teaching them how to read and write!) while creating a safe space for them to grow into themselves. Our kids have felt loved and cared for, and they've learned so much during their time there. I truly appreciate the effort the staff puts into developing a curriculum that offers such diverse learning experiences. I can't say enough about how grateful we are for everyone at Montessori Academy -- and on top of it all, the tuition, meals, and drop-off/pick-up times are all very competitive.

Until the age of two, we were able to nurture his love of creativity through art, get him engaged in reading and music, and keep him active and independent while learning at home, but his social-emotional growth needed a community like Modern Schoolhouse to truly develop. We met another family at his favorite playground that had an AMAZING experience at Modern Schoolhouse and their daughter, who was academically gifted and raised with similar philosophies, was thriving under their care. We enrolled and discovered for ourselves that Modern Schoolhouse was indeed an absolute gem for child development. Our son entered after turning two, and he was very shy/reserved at the time. The talking, dancing, singing, bilingual artist that blew us away with his funny ideas and love of learning at home, needed help expressing himself in the larger group. Over the next several years, Leonardo was able to grow and thrive his ability to emotionally self-regulate, from having a 'safe space' at home to being able to identify what he was feeling and how to 'calm his body,' to listening to others and respecting common space. What we didn't anticipate was not just the top quality of the school, the clean aesthetic spaces, and the exceptional teachers (Teacher Alicia from class 3 was truly amazing!!), but also the like minded and kind community that became a key part of our son's social life. During our son's first years at home, we studied Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia- instituting some principles of each in our approach at home. It wasn't until we met Sue and her philosophies at Modern Schoolhouse did we see some of these same philosophies embodied in an American child care setting; and we must have interviewed or toured at 5 or more local schools before finding Modern Schoolhouse. The core beliefs consist of the idea that children are competent, capable, curious individuals with hundreds of ways of self expression. The role of the school and family should be creating a structured, clean, and aesthetic environment that is conducive stimulating exploration and discovery. Teachers in this sense guide and foster collaboration rather than just 'delivering information.' Giving our son a new challenge was hard at first, but Sue and her staff were quick to offer suggestions and outside resources so we could reinforce some lessons at home, especially around his development of social/emotional skills like managing anger, dealing with disappointment, and learning to communicate when he needed space. He also was given the chance to learn how to build relationships and have positive interactions with new friends. Each 'season' and month had different themes that would be clearly delivered in monthly/quarterly emails along with chances to meet with teachers on child progress in key development areas of language, tracing, use of scissors, how to put on shoes/jackets, counting, class participation/listening, and emotional self expression. By class 3 (3 years old and above), our son was giving 'show and tell' presentations, using the 'sharing bee' to discuss their weekend, and playing inventive games to stimulate imagination and curiosity. Through the use of brightwheel, we were always shown photos and videos of our son having fun with friends and doing some fun activity. The school also offered many events at the school such as the "annual art show," "parent and me" day, and music sessions from Teacher Gaia culminating in a student led music performance (the cutest!). This year all the 4 classes made their own animal costumes and acted out various Disney themes. It was extraordinary to see him flourish and thrive under Teacher Alicia in class 3, who is truly remarkable for her ability to connect to kids and meet them where they are on the journey. By the end he was more confident in his presentations and even singing his favorite Disney songs Karaoke style to the class! Everything ended on a wonderful note with his graduation and small speech to parents and the graduating class. We were given an opportunity for a graduation photoshoot and his 'family book' with messages from all of the teachers as a keepsake that he created during his time there. As he graduated before many of the others in class 3, everyone created a special hand painted art for him with with the handprints of all his friends. It is bittersweet to go onto the next chapter, but he graduated school scoring high in every single metric of development, and he easily was interviewed and accepted into an international private school. Thanks you for being such a key part of his childhood journey and we hope to stay in touch with Leonardo and our growing family!

Initially, we had some concerns about starting him so young, but it quickly became clear that enrolling him early was the right choice. He is truly thriving--emotionally, mentally, and intellectually. The curriculum at TMS is incredibly well thought out. Each activity clearly connects to the weekly or daily theme, and we've seen real growth in our son's development. He's starting to learn the alphabet and has become much more verbal since he began. What stands out even more is how happy our child is at TMS. Every photo we receive through the app shows him smiling, and we always feel confident dropping him off, knowing he's in caring and capable hands. The teachers, staff, and owner (Sue) are exceptional. Our son absolutely adores his teachers and lights up when we mention their names in the morning. Even though he's usually very attached to us, he was so excited to see his teacher at the Annual Art Show that he practically leaped from my arms to greet her. That kind of connection is exactly what every parent hopes for in a school: a place where your child feels loved and supported. On top of all this, the school is extremely clean. Our son has hardly been sick, and we've noticed how attentive the staff is to hygiene--little ones always have their noses wiped, diapers changed very frequently and the environment is clearly well-maintained. TMS is far beyond a typical daycare--it's a place where our child is growing, learning, and genuinely happy.
