First impression meeting with Rafi was good. Unfortunately it just went downhill from there. The…read morefirst team who did our floor and stairs seemed to be professional as well. We did feel 12 bags of self leveling concrete was excessive when it looked like it was only used on a few corners of the room in a job less than 900 sq feet. Unfortunately one of the stair nosing broke within a couple weeks of install. Rafi was responsive in redoing the stairs stating it was a manufacturing defect and that the new version is stronger. Unfortunately the second team quality of work was very poor. They left holes in our walls that were patched poorly with plaster. Worst of all the stairs were apparently nailed to the subfloor and after a few weeks they started to rise leaving little holes and nails protruding from the floor. A few of the stair noses are loose as well. At this point, Rafi became unresponsive to have the flooring fixed. We ended up getting some of our money back through our credit card after months went by but the majority of the payment was by check. Basically we will need to replace the stairs again on our own dime. Buyer beware! Lifetime warranty doesn't mean anything if the installer ghosts you.

I was actually planning to hire another contractor. On a Friday afternoon, I called J&L Innovative Flooring and spoke with Larissa, the owner. She was out of town until Tuesday, so I honestly told her I didn't want to waste her time since I had already received multiple estimates and was leaning toward another company. She completely understood but offered to give me a general estimate and explain her scope of work over the phone. Shortly afterward, Larissa texted me a detailed estimate and outlined the work she recommended. I then spent time reading through the company's reviews and found countless satisfied customers. That convinced me to schedule an in-home consultation, and our family is so glad we did. When Larissa came out on Tuesday, I asked countless questions about floor preparation, moisture barriers, moldings, transitions, and the installation process. She answered every question thoroughly and emphasized doing everything according to the manufacturer's installation requirements and warranty. It was immediately obvious that she has extensive knowledge and experience. Unlike many contractors--including one I had previously hired--she wasn't interested in taking shortcuts to save time or money. Just by inspecting our existing floor, she recognized that our concrete slab would require leveling. She ultimately matched the same discount (never told her the price)I I was receiving on the engineered hardwood and secured excellent pricing on the adhesive and moisture barrier. It's clear she has strong relationships throughout the industry and genuinely looks out for her customers. Her knowledge on various flooring manufacturers is truly amazing. Most flooring contractors will push u into a certain wood manufacturer that they could make the most commission on but with Larissa u can choose whatever you want and she will try to get you the best deal. For the installation, Larissa assigned Enrique, who has more than 20 years of experience. From demolition to floor preparation, installation, and baseboards, Enrique worked with incredible care and precision. He carefully protected our kitchen cabinets and preserved our bullnose stair nosings instead of taking the easy route and replacing them. Our slab required extensive leveling and sanding before installation. Enrique took his time to ensure the subfloor was perfectly prepared and thoughtfully selected the best-looking planks for the most visible areas of the house. That level of planning and attention to detail is something many installers simply don't do because it takes extra time. One thing that really stood out was that Enrique hand-wiped every single plank after installation while working on his hands and knees. That's over 1,600 square feet of flooring cleaned one plank at a time. Watching that level of dedication was truly impressive. Throughout the project, whenever an issue came up, Larissa immediately found a solution. At one point I forgot to order the T-moldings from the flooring manufacturer, and they were on backorder for two weeks. Rather than delaying the project, Larissa leveraged her network to have a custom T-molding made and professionally stained within just two days. It's rare to find a contractor who is knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and genuinely committed to doing things the right way. Larissa and her team exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The overall cost was actually less than we were expecting. The work was completed in May while we were out of town and they were done by the time we returned home. Everything looked amazing but there were some areas that needed to be fixed/redone. Robbie continued to assist us in answering questions on how to clean our new flooring and helped us coordinate the final corrections that needed to be done since the contractor was slow at getting back to us. They came the next morning after Robbie got involved and the fixes were finally completed more than a month later. We absolutely love our new flooring.

They used plastic sheeting to mask off closet and bathroom contents to keep the dust down as much as possible due to the floor leveling process. We have 6 steps that were laid unevenly so they are broken and cracked. It happened almost immediately so yes, they did come out and replace the broken steps initially. A few months later, it happened again. And again. They came out, I believe twice, to replace until, "oops" your warranty is no longer valid. So now, we just have these effed up cracked steps. The rest of the house is great. Just use caution because I don't think the installers they used know how to account for any irregularities. For reference- my husband is 5'11 and 190lb and my son is 6'2 and 185lbs. I am 5'7 and 145lbs. We are not overweight or extremely heavy people. We also do not have pets.

Our floors turned out absolutely perfect. Thank you, Miguel, for leading the way. And thank you, Angel, for your incredibly beautiful work. We are extremely picky people. We have needed follow-ups and touchups after every other project in this house. But this flooring job was literally perfect. Here are the details and some photos. We bought a 3,500 sq ft house that was built just 5 years ago. But we wanted to make it our own. We spoke with several flooring companies for bids and advice. We read all sorts of reviews about the benefits and drawbacks of LVP floors, Laminate floors, and tile as well. It seemed like there was no perfect answer. Miguel was very informative and had lots of pictures of his team's work that really helped us see what things might look like. And how to make good decisions. His team was also affiliated with Floor & Decor, so there could be no finger-pointing in the event there was a problem with our floors. The entire project is covered by a sort-of umbrella warranty, in a sense. Because they can only the point the finger at themselves, from manufacturer all the way to installation. Well, we've had these floors for a few months now, and they are as beautiful now as they were when installed. We went with very large, wood-like tile planks in the kitchen / great room / dining room. These are great for moisture and potential wear and tear from activities in those areas. And we went with LVP floors throughout the rest of house. It's a little softer on the feet upstairs and in bedrooms etc. And we had them do our stairs to match the LVP floors and they did nice white riders and a skirt on the side. We left our bathrooms with the original tile. So these guys did probably 3,000 sq feet of flooring. And everything is literally perfect. The price was a tad bit higher than some other companies quoted. But Miguel worked hard to make sure we stayed on budget. Our slab required extensive leveling and sanding before installation. Enrique took his time to ensure the subfloor was perfectly prepared and thoughtfully selected the best-looking planks for the most visible areas of the house. That level of planning and attention to detail is something many installers simply don't do because it takes extra time. One thing that really stood out was that Enrique hand-wiped every single plank after installation while working on his hands and knees. That's over 1,600 square feet of flooring cleaned one plank at a time. Watching that level of dedication was truly impressive. Throughout the project, whenever an issue came up, Larissa immediately found a solution. At one point I forgot to order the T-moldings from the flooring manufacturer, and they were on backorder for two weeks. Rather than delaying the project, Larissa leveraged her network to have a custom T-molding made and professionally stained within just two days. It's rare to find a contractor who is knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and genuinely committed to doing things the right way. Larissa and her team exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Came out with Steve Munozs from Celco to give me an estimate. Paul never followed through with the…read moreestimate, nor answered my emails. I think this is a fake company that works with Celco cooking up fake estimates to submit to your insurance company. Beware before letting Paul into your home. In response from the owner's comment: I reached out to you several times, and asked you for the quote myself. I was completely ignored the first 4 times. Neither you nor Celco would follow through or even give a reason why I could not receive the estimate. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous that one company can block business with a customer, when that company doesn't want to give you the estimate provided by the third party company. Something is very fishy here. That is a copout. If this was the case, someone should have explained that when I reached out the first time. All is well, because Celco is a bunch of crooks, and any business recommended by them is evil by association. Therefore, I wouldn't do business with them based on principal. I don't know what I did to deserve this, but I am glad this worked out the way it did. Good luck!

We used the contractor he recommended and we started a group chat to coordinate so his contractor could come over to get measurements, material drop off and scheduling. The overall cost was actually less than we were expecting. The work was completed in May while we were out of town and they were done by the time we returned home. Everything looked amazing but there were some areas that needed to be fixed/redone. Robbie continued to assist us in answering questions on how to clean our new flooring and helped us coordinate the final corrections that needed to be done since the contractor was slow at getting back to us. They came the next morning after Robbie got involved and the fixes were finally completed more than a month later. We absolutely love our new flooring.
