I called the Municipal Bldg. in Ridley Township and they stated this company has closed permanently. I gave one star because I wanted to get the message out there that if you are looking for them, they are gone, from Delco. They did my roof in 2014, and did a fairly good job. I used them because they were local. Then they moved from my immediate area. I tried to contact a little before pandemic, I wanted them to do a silver coat. All you can really ask of a small local business is that at the end of the day, did they finish the job to your satisfaction, and did they communicate professionally? I was involved with these guys for 18 months, off and on, and I can attest that they are good, solid people, they are certainly experts on roofing, offer extensive experience, and can be trusted to deliver. We did have some hiccups, which happens, and they acknowledged the reasons why with sincerity. They picked up the phone when I called. They stopped by my house on several occasions to discuss options. And again, at the end of the project, it was done to my satisfaction. I found Top Notch Roofing as a local provider first to get a second estimate after someone marketing door-to-door for another company gave us an aggressive (and exorbitant) sales pitch. I am so glad I got another estimate. Our estimator/representative Dan asked a lot of smart questions and efficiently got through the process of measurement and project planning. He explained the process and what made the company superior, but didn't try to sell us anything other than what we needed. The work was scheduled promptly (a week after signing the contract) and completed in two days. They removed the old roofing, replaced some boards and all the shingles, and explained the benefits of some new features that were not part of our old roof (e.g. starter shingles--ask about those!) Clean up was meticulous, and the foreman went above and beyond; noticing some repairs needed to our chimney and siding, and fixing them gratis. They really work to earn the business, and they're local. Next time someone is door-knocking because they just completed "a project in the neighborhood," make sure you talk to Top-Notch before signing anything. I am very satisfied with the communication, the value, and the professionalism and efficiency with which they replaced my roof. read more

I called top notch for a roof estimate in mid April. After a missed appointment the estimator came out on 4/28/17. He seemed like a nice guy and knew what he was doing. He was an owner. This is a full roof replacement and capping job. I felt he would do a good job and hoping for a good estimate. After 2 weeks and no estimate I call and leave a message, after another week and no return call. I call again and the desk person tells me Dave has the estimate and will call me back. It's June 21st and still no response. I get you're busy but at least call back. I know I'll get someone to do this roof but I wanted to give it to a havertown business. read more

This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I was having stucco work done on my home when the stucco contractor uncovered cuts in the waterproofing layers around the flashings. My roof and flashings were replaced 18 months ago by Top Notch Roofing which came with a 10 year warranty. The stucco contractor said he had to stop work until the damage was repaired by Top Notch. David Shaw from Top Notch came over and went up on the scaffolding and was shown the damage. He first said he didn't know how to fix it. Then he said he would fix it.Then he asked ME how to fix it! Then he said he would fix it. He made multiple appointments but never showed up. After 3 weeks of my house being covered with scaffolding and no work being done because Top Notch wouldn't fix the problem I had to find another roofer. Another roofing company came and fixed it without any problems and the stucco work was then completed. It was an awful experience and I would NEVER recommend them. read more
