My house was built in 1950. We would go through dozens of towels and often run 5-gallon shopvacs to try to keep streams of water from flowing across the floor and pooling into the finished part of our basement. Finally, I had enough. I called a few basement repair companies to come in, survey the problem, and give us estimates.
