If you're just getting into golf, trying to improve, or looking for a solid place to practice, I definitely recommend checking out NXGen either at Bee Ridge or Lakewood Ranch. Our son has great coaches back home and we feel that there is much we can take back home to add to that instruction. It is not inexpensive, but when we consider how many hours of high quality instruction our son received, it is more than worth it.

There are 3 great pros who offer a variety of clinics as well as private lessons. There are all kinds of leagues to join if you want some competition. We have lots of opportunities for you to get to know and play with the other members. There are a few mixed doubles days that you can participate in as well. We also have a number of fun events where you can play tennis, socialize and have lunch under our beautiful oak trees. Enjoy the ducks, (and ducklings) living in houses scattered around the pond. Relax on the screened in porch after your match or go inside and browse through our free library that overflows with books and puzzles. We have a shop inside called "the alley"with tennis essentials, snacks and great gifts. I have made great friends with Courtside members and think that joining here was my best decision when moving to Florida!

They are now charging me $50.00 for beer on the golf course in Sept 2025. The funny thing is, I don't golf and have never been on the course, they could check that but they don't. Instead they make policies to whatever fits for admin and screws the owners, the people who pay them. They also make policy changes against owners who rent out their units. The golf fee went from like $19 to $129 or something crazy and the fee for moving in to add you name etc which is usually like $100.00 for communities, it's now over $600 freaking dollars. Bastards!!!

The dessert table seems like an after thought as it is located on the way to the exit out of the dining room. Perhaps lining up the food stations around the perimeter and bringing the dining tables to where the current food lines are would not lose dining table count...or creating a T station.... would be better. That being said, our waitress was not too on the ball and was unsure how to host a table. No pleasantries, no offer of coffee, no removal of dishes and about a half hour wait for payments to be processed and charge errors to be corrected. She needs to shadow another seasoned employee for a while. Because I know the business, I do allow for every kind of calamity and am not bothered, but like to give advice. My group, on the other hand, was very confused and disappointed. The food was good. The service needs cleaning up. The set up needs a redo for efficiency. I would recommend this place for brunch but be prepared for some compromise. It is a professional 6 out of 10. Once improvements are made, it can elevate to 9 out of 10.

Pros: Convenient location, easy access with plenty of parking. The staff here are excellent, from dropping off your bags, inside the proshop, to the starter, always a pleasure to interact with them all. The practice areas here are phenomenal, huge putting green with lots of room to make long putts. Driving range is awesome and will accommodate several golfers. Ice machine and cold-water dispensers are on each 9 of this course and by the practice putting green for all golfers. The golf carts are very clean and comfortable to ride in. Also, in cart each player gets tees and a towel to clean your clubs. It's a nice touch Ball cleaners throughout the course and they don't have any bad odors being released from them. So many courses out there that don't change the water in them. The bathrooms are in excellent condition, so clean! Cons: Carts do not have GPS.
