By far the best gym I have ever been too. Joseph and Roberto are amazing. They have also selected great staff.

Sign up for this gym if you don't mind ever changing staff and trainers; if you like personal…read moretraining that is NOT personal; and if you are ok with management that only cares about your membership fees not your personal fitness goals or well-being. If all that sounds good, then Anytime Fitness - Montwood is a great gym to join! The gym itself is nice enough but once you are there for a while you will notice there is not a lot of variety in equipment. I would compare it to a larger version of a hotel gym, but it is nice and fairly well kept. One thing it has going for it is that it is always clean, members are friendly and conscious of wiping down equipment and cardio machines. I joined Anytime Fitness - Montwood November of 2022. I signed up for 3 days of personal training from the get-go and signed a 1-year contract for both monthly membership and 3 days of training per week. I made an impulse decision to sign up on the spot after a quick tour; l did not compare or look around at any other gyms. In hindsight I wish I had shopped around. At the time of my sign up, I made the decision that prioritizing my health and well-being was something I needed to take immediate action on. I had been dealing with depression from the loss of my mother during Covid and the loss of my father to cancer a year beforehand. My depression led to a downward spiral of overeating, drinking, binging TV, weight gain, and not leaving the house. After being in this unhealthy state for almost 2 years I woke up one day and decided this has to stop! I got in my car, drove to Anytime Fitness, signed up on the spot. Early on after I started attending the gym and meeting with my personal trainer, I began to question my decision. After a few months and being juggled around from trainer to trainer, I realized I should have shopped around, learned more about the gym and the trainers. In the past 1.5 years I have been moved around from trainer to trainer because they all have left (quit) the gym. Since November of 2022, I have had 6 personal trainers and seen the entire staff change a few times. All of the trainers have been fine in their own right but for the most part are new to personal training and have been Anytime Fitness staff members of some sort (membership sales) who wanted to try personal training out. The trainers are instructed to train the "Anytime Fitness way" (some sort of internal certification), likely because they have no prior experience. The reason for my review and rating is each time I have had to switch I have had a loss in progress and motivation. Each trainer has to get to know me, my body, my strengths and weaknesses and it is usually about 3 -4 weeks or so before the training starts to feel effective again. There is also the personal aspect of personal training and having to share your personal story, goals, getting to know one another before connecting and being on the same page. It has been challenging to share your Last week I voiced this concern to Glen, the general manager and asked him if he would let me exit my contract early. I shared my feedback with him, told him about my numerous setbacks, and how my progress has been slow due to each change. He said there was nothing he could do as I was under contract but that he would take it to upper management. Two days later he let me know that upper management, a person named Rose, said there was nothing they could do and they would hold me to the terms of the renewed contract. I had been hopeful that upper management would recognize having 6 trainers in less than 1.5 years was excessive, they would understand my progress was hindered, services rendered for personal training were unsatisfactory and let me exit my contract with grace. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The answer was simply just a no, you are under contract and if you don't pay, we will send you to collections. I came to Anytime Fitness as a place to help me with my struggles with physical and mental health and instead I have been greeted with even more uncertainty, anxiety at the onset of each new trainer, setback after setback, mental stress, and now financial repercussions. Over the past 2 weeks I have visited several gyms within a 1 block radius shared and shared my experience. I have been greeted warmly, been shown exceptional levels of customer service learned that there are gyms with nicer facilities, better/newer equipment, personal amenities, saunas, yoga classes, cycling studios, and robust class schedules all for a similar price to Anytime Fitness. I would highly encourage you to do your due diligence before signing up at Anytime Fitness - Montwood. It is seemingly a great place outside looking in but once you are a member you will see all the flaws. Definitely do not sign up for personal training unless you are comfortable with a new person training you or a new person teaching your classes every couple of months.

Where do i begin…read more... I began my journey at PUSH a little over 3 years ago. I think for anyone who has been out of the fitness game for a while, coming back in can definitely be intimidating, scary, and sometimes discouraging. Im so happy THIS is where i began... it was nothing like i'd feared. The trainers are all so Knowledgeable, motivating, and welcoming! You really begin to feel like you are a part of something bigger, a fitness family that is constantly PUSHing eachother to do better, work harder, and grind a little more every day. I do personal training with Mike Contreras, who is amazing at what he does with every client, just like all the Push trainers are! Not only do they offer personal training, but athletic, crossfit, and physical therapy. To top it off and one stop shop that offers a shake/meal prep bar and chiropractor. 3 years later, -80lbs (still a bit to go), I've seen my body, STRENGTH, and own self confidence grow. Im not so hell bent on numbers on a scale, but what my body is capable of; endurance, strength. It wouldn't have been possible without the daily inspiration i get from my PUSH family. Thank you guys for all your patience and motivation!

I always heard horror stories on how people who lifted heavy weights injured themselves for life because they had the wrong form the entire time and didn't know it. I decided to give Fyzical a try because I saw my friend's body transform within a few months of working out, twice a week. I did my research and discovered that they are also a part of Fyzical Physical Therapy. It intrigued me because of my background in science and being a nurse. I kept reading about them on their website and saw that each of the trainers also have their bachelor's degree in kinesiology. So, I (a 42 year old) started in August 2023 and currently still work out there. I have gone from 170lb to 154lb and I am still losing. I also feel stronger and have improved my joint mobility. The trainers are excellent in guiding you through each workout and are quick to point out if you are doing an exercise wrong. Their goal is to make you stronger and quicker without hurting yourself. If you are going to start, but you have an injury, the trainers will modify the workout for you to prevent further injury. Each workout is scientifically based and changes monthly. They also have an app for you that helps you keep track of your weights, reps and exercises. This is the only gym that I have been consistent with because of the results I have seen in myself. It also helps that you have to let the trainer which days you will be there...because they will be expecting you! They hold me accountable. This gym is definitely worth the money that I pay each month. I spent so much on other gyms and I never went to them (what a waste). So if you want to get in shape, feel younger and healthier, check this gym out! :)
