Honestly, I love the idea of Topgolf, but the prices are outrageous. First of all, if you want to make a bay reservation, you need to pay a fee online that will allow you to go to the top of the waitlist when you arrive at Topgolf. The fee that you pay does not go toward any of your Topgolf purchases - so you're really paying just to move up in line. Secondly, the food and drinks are expensive! We ordered a few appetizers for the family with nachos as our #1 choice. When we received the nachos, we thought we had the wrong order... there were 8 nacho chips fanned out on a plate with the cheese and jalapeños on top. For $9, we were hoping to get a plate full of classic nacho chips; nowhere on the menu did it say they were not typical nachos. As for drinks, my mom and I shared a Golf Bag cocktail ($16) because the menu said it was for 2 people. Let me tell you, this drink it definitely not able to be comfortably shared between two people. It was what most places would serve a single person. I didn't mind paying the fairly pricey hourly bay fee, but definitely watch what time you go because prices differ according to peak days and times. We went on a Sunday at 1:00 which was $37/hour. Overall, for 5 people to enjoy two hours of golf, a couple of drinks, and 2 apps, our bill was $200 - plus the $15 registration fee we originally paid. I do love top golf. IDK why but I always have a blast. Maybe its whacking balls as far as I can. My dad used to tell me I could've been a WPGA player back when I played field hockey. I still laugh at that though. I also appreciate how easy it was to golf here as opposed to being at other TG's. Walked in, chatted it up with desk, went right to a bay, it was EXTRAAAA CLEAN. See photo of staff cleaning another bay as soon as the guests were done. They legit wiped everything and spray everything and had this crazy sanitation thing for all the handles of the golf clubs. Obv if you are cool and bring your own, you don't have to worry. But still. The First Lady who helped us was really the best. Very nice and welcoming. Our waitress was pretty flustered but carried herself nicely and chatted it up with us but it was humid and she probably had been working all day. Seemed scattered to me. Our food was great, not sure if I was just hungry or what but the fried chicken sandwich and the marg. Flatbread was awesome. Would eat again. this was my first visit to Topgolf, and i must say, the workers were incredibly friendly and explained the game to us really well. the food arrived fast, and it was super tasty. our server was amazing and explained the menu and gave us many recommendations. keep in mind though if it's your first time here to not order so much during games as you may not finish it/enjoy it as we ended up having to move our food inside because we didn't touch any of ours during the game. overall i had so much fun and a fantastic experience - would definitely come back here and check out other Topgolf locations as well! read more

I came back to write an update on my review. I was previously here in August and returned to spend time with friends who flew in for the weekend. We went on a Thursday night which was not busy at all, we were able to walk in and did not need to make a reservation and were able to accommodate our request to get a bay on the 3rd floor. Our server Rich was slow and hard to track down. Not to mention, he took our drink orders (without carding anyone at the table) and then decided to come back 5ish minutes later and only card me and stated "You look young". So I did not look young 5 minutes ago when you took my drink order and did not ask for my ID then?? This was our first top golf experience and it was SO fun! When you reserve a time, you get a two hour window in a specific bay on one of three floors. You don't find out your bay number until 15 minutes before your reserved time. It's important to be early too as you have a tv screen in your bay to keep score and it has a time countdown and once your time is up, everything shuts off. There are a variety of clubs to pick from and games to play. For those avid golfers, you can also bring your own clubs. As my husband and I are not golfers at all, it was fun to just be able to play around and practice our swings without the pressure of a course and 18 holes. Plus the staff was very attentive and we ordered some snacks and drinks while we played. It was a blast! We don't live in Pittsburgh but we're definitely on a hunt to find one close to home! The only negative is it's pricy - $130 on a Friday for a 2 hour window for one bay (you can have up to 6 per bay). Compared to bowling or Dave and Buster's it's expensive, but the setup and real estate of the building is extensive so I get it. read more

The best golf place on earth RMU golf mini course kind of makes a Clothes second, but the lights were on we were with friends. I almost hit the golf thingy that the truck that picks the balls up I know the workers work so hard and service is very nice. Great location everybody there is kind. The food is like awesome donut holes are fire. The sauce is very good. The best golf course ever of all time for four people. We did a lot of games. I love how you could just tap on the circle in the ball comes out. They have one of the best donuts on earth. The red jelly is good chocolate and vanilla way better but the chocolate and vanilla is the best chocolate and vanilla on earth the jelly is still very good. My best friend loved it. I loved it. My family loved it. I think everybody that was here. Loved it. The chocolate and vanilla remind me of Brewster's chocolate and vanilla and Dairy Queen twist. We got here early in a beautiful Sunday am as they have a special till noon - $25 for a bay for an hour .. and we wanted a bay in the top floor! Arrived around 9:40 .... Plus we had a Sprint coupon for buy an hour get an hour so - $25 for the bay for two hours! Perfect amount of time in my opinion. You get to your bay and they have a nice sized table and chair for folks to sit at - I say parties brining in items like cakes ( I had a coffee)..so for those special occasions it was. Ice to see them allow that! We got settled and started playing ... then orders $4 mimosas (so good and not watered down which was nice) and some snack...Giant pretzel with fruit meats and cheese ($21), chicken and waffle sliders and chips with queso, salsa and we did an add of quac. All the food was good and they gave refills on the chips which was awesome! Sorry no food pics this time. The bay staff kept coming back over to check on us and about 15 min before your time (which you can see on the screen how much time you have) is up the bay staff came over to ask us if we wanted to continue - another nice perk for first timers. I had a great experience at Top Golf this past Saturday. I made reservations a couple months ago and worked with Laura on getting everything setup for my party. The prices vary based on day of the week and time of day that you go. It was fairly expensive however I knew that going in making a reservation for a Saturday evening. We were told to arrive 10-15 min early but would have been fine with 5 min before. We had 2 bays right on the second tier in the center. It was great! We had preordered the tex mex platter and it came about 30 min into our visit. Everything was super good. Like surprisingly good to us! We thought it was just going to be typical bar food and we were pleasantly surprised. Drinks were decent and normal price for a bar. My one complaint is lack of space to actually eat in the bays. We had high top tables but with the platters there wasn't any room. Would be nice if a tray stand could be setup for the food. We also had to ask for plates and silverware. That should just be a given to get that with your food. All in all it was a great experience though and I'm looking forward to going back again one day in the future! read more

I've been to Topgolf a number of times and it's always great! It is one of my favorite spots around Pittsburgh to go out with friends and family and have fun. They offer walk ins but do take reservations as well, which I always think is better especially if you already know that you're going ahead if time. The games are fun and good for people of all skill levels, so don't feel nervous if you're not a good golfer hahaha! The food is always really good and they have a large drink menu. I usually get a seltzer but they actually have a lot of cocktails as well. The waitstaff is always really nice. Sometimes the food does take a while to come out if they're super busy, but that's normal for any restaurant. All in al I think Topgolf is a great spot and if you're looking for something new to do around the city you need to try then out! read more

My only gripe with this place is the service we received. We put in food orders and probably had to wait about an hour to receive it. So the short version.. Its a strict, neat, techy, fancy driving range, that is ridiculously over priced and you can't bring any outside drink or food as they have security that will make you toss it. Where kids and adults run wild and manners are out the window. . . The long version.....we went on a Friday night with friends. We had called several weeks before and had a reservation for 2 hours for 4 people. Something came up and the other couple wasn't able to go. I tried to reschedule but was told I would have to pay another $65 to hold our place and only once we got there would I get a refund for the original reservation. Considering the cost total for 2 hours was $130. I found another couple to. That was strike 1, to me that was a bit ridiculous. Our reservation was for 8pm. I stoped on the way for Starbucks since I wanted to have the energy to have fun. Upon entering, as in immediately walking through the door. I was told I had to throw my drink away as No outside food or beverages are allowed. So thats strike 2. We got there early and deciced to wait at the bar and have a drink and order some food. Staff at the bar are super nice and friendly. Other patrons however..not so much. Some of them just rude to the bar staff. Another was sitting there watching videos very loudly on his phone. I felt like was at an elementary school lunch hall but these were adults. We finaly made it to our reserved area and I have to say it was pretty neat. I thought it would be cold but it wasn't. Staff up there, also pretty nice and helpful. Unfortunately we were sitting next to a group of male teens who where just brats. They where giving staff a hard time then decided to use the golf clubs to hit food! Parents please accompany your children! I did have a very nice time but then the bill came, you pay for the game and food after. At the end of the night in total for food and a few drinks plus the game.. I paid over $200 for just 2 of us as we split the rental. That was strike 3 for me. Yes, it is definitely neat, and something different.... but I will not be back. It is crazy expensive for basically a fancy driving range. It really should be half the cost. Then we got to top golf on a Friday night it was so busy and the atmosphere was great. It was nice to walk in and be seated and we had great service all night. My company had a team building event at Topgolf, and I must say.. it was a great time! The games itself, and the facility are top notch. It's a casual environment, where any one is welcome (even those of us that stink at golf). The facility was very clean, and well laid out. I planned the event, and it was easy from the word go. Angela, the event coordinator, was wonderful - and made sure that our group was 100% happy from start to finish. The food we had, amazing. Drinks, amazing. The only reason for 4 stars, it was a bit unorganized in a sense that they kind of just expected us to know hot to start games/get set up - when most of us have never been to topgolf. Would have been great to have a mini briefing on those things. Also, the servers were great for the most part but some of them had a bit of a negative attitude which I wasn't a fan of. I have been to this location three times now and have had a blast on each occasion. It is a really fun and different group activity that can be done even during the cold months. You'll want to make sure to plan at least a couple of weeks out in order to get a reservation. This is especially true on the weekends, as the bays book fast. You can try to just show up and hope to get lucky, but plan to wait for at least an hour. The service has been great each time I was there. We did have to wait long for food one time, but the place was packed so I kind of expected it. The food options I have had have all been delicious. My favorite is the bacon mac and cheese spring rolls. These are one of the best and most unique appetizers I have ever had. They come with a side of their ranch which is also very good and pairs perfect with the spring rolls. I have also had the buffalo chicken sliders which were wonderful as well. My only complaint is the setup of the targets. If you end up on the left side, you really don't have much to shoot for. Definitely try to get a middle to right spot if you can. read more

This is strictly a service review: We had a nice family outing at Top Golf over the holiday weekend and truly enjoyed ourselves. I want to give a huge shout out to Abby for going above and beyond to make sure my family of 9 was accomadated with bays close together. We didn't realize that two bays needed to be reserved at least 2 hours in advance to guarantee side by side availability. My brother and I joined the waitlist and hope to get two bays together. Luckily, it wasn't too busy, and the waitlist was about a 15 wait. We understood their policy says they can not guarantee two consecutive bays without a reservation. But I politely asked Abby, the front service agent, if there was anything she could do. She searched the system and noticed a party with two bays was finishing up within 10 minutes. With a small wait, she was able to snag those bays for us. We were so pleased with her patience, kindness, and service. It was more than the fact that she was able to accommodate us, but her willingness to assist us without hesitation, regardless of knowing the outcome. That is customer service is all about! Third time took our waiter forever to get drinks and take our order for an appetizer. Finally after waiting forever without any food I questioned our waiter as to why a table of 5 who were seated long after us had their food and we were still waiting on one appetizer. Terrible bathroom experience. I walked and I noticed the big stall was closed, I knew I was in for the long ride. I soon as I got in the stall was very small, which triggered my claustrophobia. There was a huge crack on both sides of the door and a guy kept looking in them. There is zero ventilation. And their toilets flushed automatically, which shows no accommodation for people who stand and wipe, like I. Also, their toilet paper was very thin and fragile. Not one to complain on reviews but I will. Service was not good at all, actually it was bad. Made a reservation drove an hour and should have been a walk in/ waitlister to get extra time. No help with setup or anything. You're on your own when you get there messing around with setup and all. Don't bother making reservations there because 2 hrs goes fast and by the time you get food and drink and a little golf your time is up and they don't let you extend, although i could see empty bays and she agreed to extend until she found out we reserved then it was a quick NO . Went for a special family party and pretty much got booted by our server.Rather have went to the casino or Chuck E Cheese.What a joke. Not an enjoyable time. They want you in and OUT asap.Chug your expensive beer quick and get out is what it felt like. Never had this happen there before. Not sure I want to return and i have gift cards left.
