Came for live music for the first time and only had some drinks. Saw some quality looking food and came back a few weeks later for Thursday trivia night. The service is great and the buffalo Pittsburgh salad was one of the best in the city, truly! Creamy ranch, buffalo sauce mild but flavorful, and generous portion. As a craft beer person, I'd love a few more craft options for longer stays like trivia night...sipped on an IC light as options are a little limited there. We go here on a pretty regular basis for drinks, sometimes to eat. Will caution you that they're short staffed currently and it takes a LONG TIME to get your food. We were there for close to 2 hours last night. Luckily there was a DJ to entertain us and our waitress was very nice. The food is decent and depends on what you order. We like the wings and the fried fish sandwich. Had my father in law's 60th birthday in the downscale room a few years ago and it was a blast. I wanted some Italian comfort food, and I found the Fireside Inn on Yelp delivery, so I decided to give it a go! I ordered the stuffed banana peppers appetizer, house salad, meatball hoagie, and and 6 hot garlic Parmesan wings. Everything was packaged very well! Each container had a description of what was inside; so I could tell they were checking the order before packing it. I was very satisfied with the food - the order of 3 large banana peppers was fantastic! The sausage filling was a little bit chewy but I did order pretty early in the day so I'm not complaining. The salad was fresh with veggie and shredded cheese on top. The meatball hoagie was good and a nice portion, though I did pay the small up-charge for fries and still received chips. It also could have used a tad more sauce, or a small cup of sauce on the side. Ah well. The wings were OUTSTANDING! Crunchy and well coated with spicy garlic sauce, then topped with Parmesan cheese. My husband had deemed their Buffalo chicken sandwich "the best" -he says it's the perfect amount of heat. This particular review is in connection with their "wing night" (Tuesday and Wednesday) special. I'd like to say the wait staff is the problem here, but no matter who is working, service is always slow. I think the problem lies with management. Over the course of perhaps two years, there has never been a time that I've gone here during a wing night and been served under an hour. It's seat-yourself when you arrive. If the wait staff (which is usually one person) notices you, they still won't approach you for a while. I've arrived 20 minutes before their happy hour is over, and wasn't able to capitalize on any of the happy hour deals because I was never waited on in time. This has been the case whether the dining room was full or not. There were many times where I've sat down, was never attended to, and eventually just left. This isn't even specific to one waitress; it happens all the time no matter who is working. I've been told by one waitress that there are only two fryers: one for apps and one solely dedicated to wings. This kind of kitchen problem should be noticed, and fixed by management. Perhaps it's time to upgrade the equipment, and add a new fryer. Perhaps it's time to be present during service and take note of what is going on here and make steps to resolve the consistent problems. Like I said before, this has been going on for about 2 years, at least. This isn't some new problem. Management at the Fireside need to wake up. All this aside, the food is good! I enjoy what food they have to offer. I just wish I could eat here more often, and spend less than 2 hours here. Unfortunately, I have to wait a few months between visits, and think to myself "Hey, maybe it'll be better this time." read more

I want to give a full 5 stars but there is one person who ruins it all. Come to find out she is the owners daughter. If she doesn't like you she creates her own pricing and is very rude. She feels entitled because she is the owners daughter but her personality sucks. I completely avoid going there on the nights she works. Her name is Tracy. I have gone to the Fireside almost weekly for over 6 years. Within the past year the food and service has plummeted. Before it was passable dive bar eats, now you could not pay me to eat there. Their wings used to be my favorite in the area and now they are ketchupy and undercooked. The waitstaff/ bartender could use some customer service training as well as help with their math skills. I have given it a few tries but I will refrain from eating there again and would not recommend them for food or service. read more

Updating my review from December, 2019. This place is limited to 50% capacity and it still took almost an hour and a half to get a simple take-out order. There were customers seated who couldn't get an order placed and once I finally received the food, half of it was cold from sitting back in the kitchen. I stopped by here for a beer and appetizer. This looks like a good local watering hole with a nice big square bar on one side of the building with seats on three sides. There are plenty of bar stools and some screens around the bar playing sports. On the other side of the building there are tables for patrons who want to dine at a tables. There were also some screens at that side. Beer selections from the tap looked like they were limited to three options, including Yuengling, which I ordered a pint of. The price was really good, I think $2.25 or $2.50. I got a pierogie appetizer, which was ok. The menu looked like a lot of typical bar grub. This isn't the type of place I would drive out of the way for, but if you're in the area and want a good spot to drink and watch games this is good for you to try. read more

I have been to the Fireside a few times because they do have okay food, but my past several experiences have gone from bad to worse. First, I ordered wings and an appetizer from there for pickup. We were told 30 minutes, and my boyfriend headed over in 30 minutes only to get there and wait an additional 30 minutes. Obviously they never put the order in, but of course not only did they not admit that, but they also never apologized or offered any extras for our inconvenience of waiting twice what they promised. So still, we decided to give them another chance. Their wing nights are Tuesdays and Wednesdays offering $.30 wings. We double checked the website for the special to make sure we had the right day and price before we left the house. As we arrive and sit down there is a piece of paper at the end of our table stating Wednesday wings are $.50 (Almost double what they used to be). When the waitress finally comes over I ask and SHOW HER that the website says wings are $.30 today. She says, "Oh that needs changed. They're not. They're $.50". No, "I'm sorry" because that's their motto, and no offering to honor the special stated on the website since that's what drew us in to begin with. We immediately got up in left. My recommendation is to drive the extra 1/8 mile down the road to MUGSHOTS in the shopping center. Better environment, good food, BETTER PRICES by a mile, and better service. I ordered from here for the first time and had it delivered via Uber Eats. The sandwiches (Rueben and buffalo chicken) were both delicious and large. However, the chips that came with them were packed in the same box with the sandwiches so by the time they got to us they were soggy. We also order potato skins and this was the most disappointing part. They were really dried out and had barely any cheese. I might try them again if I go in the restaurant but the food did not hold up for delivery. read more

I've been coming to the Fireside for a number of years and the food is excellent and the people are friendly.

Sports Bar, Restaurant, Pool, Golden Tee, 5+ Large Flat Screen TV's, and we haven't even gotten to the Menu yet. Wings are Highly Recommended. They have a unique sauce called "Rodeo" it is "BBQ Sauce with Horseradish" It's really good. We were patronizing this establishment to view the Penguins Game and eat some foods on a Thursday Evening. The daily special was Beef Tacos $1.25 each & choice of Hard Shell, Soft Shell, or Grilled Soft Shell. We all tried the Grilled Soft Shell, and we were all extremely delighted. PROS: 7 Days a Week the Daily Specials are AWESOME! Easy Parking CONS: Limited amount of Draught / Tap Beers. (3, I think) and inside Smoking. Bartender was very friendly. Ordered delivery. They said it would take 45 minutes and it took an hour and half. They went to the wrong business. So the food showed up cold. Asked for cocktail sauce. They didn't give us any and charged us 50 cents for it. Charged us for tartar sauce when I said I didn't want any. However, they didn't charge us for the 3 packets of ketchup. I love this place. The food is great classic dive bar food, and drink specials are super cheap, not that drinks are expensive if they arent on special there. GREAT experience at the Fireside. We had a group pushing 40 as walk-ins (another place took our reservation but turned us away as we had a bunch of 16 YO hockey players in town for a tournament). On a Friday night too. Yeah. We were greeted warmly, they threw tables together, and (we found out later) asked a couple of staff to extend their shift. They all were overwhelmed, but took it in stride. Service was great given the stress we put on them. Food was really, really good, I just hope we didn't kill the chef. Salads were excellent, hot roast beef was apparently the winner of our group, but my hot pastrami on marbled rye was as good as anything I've gotten in New York. As a native Pittsburger living in NJ, I was really proud of how this place and owner reflect on our area. Our team could not stop talking about how nice everyone at Fireside was. Some of the regulars gladly moved their tables to fit us in, and the owner constantly checked on us. This kind of experience is why Pittsburgh is awesome. read more

Yikes rudest bartender in the Tri State area. She was slow and gave rude looks she forgot our side of ranch for 20 mins she makes everyone in the bar fear her with her wrath. This is not good customer service when you forget something or mess up you should nicely apologize but she did not... rude inconsiderate bartender. Also speaking of wrath as I was sitting at the bar she put someone's tab on the wrong card and when she asked the other group... they said yeah it's a different card and she gave them the dirtiest look ever... and didn't even apologize, asked for our tabs and didn't give them to us for I'm counting right now as I write this 10 mins now and this guy just walked in and still doesn't have a drink and it's been 10 mins... poor very poor every other bartender is amazing here.
