What started as a quick stop for dog food turned into one of the most enjoyable shopping experiences I've had in a long time. The associate who helped me was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in talking about dogs. We discussed food, collars, harnesses, and chew treats, and she took the time to answer my questions and make thoughtful recommendations. One of those recommendations was a pair of peanut butter-filled deer hooves for my dogs. My challenge to her was simple: "Give me something they can't destroy in five minutes." She absolutely delivered. Both of my dogs have been happily working on their treats for over half an hour and are still going strong. I especially appreciated that she wasn't trying to make a sale as much as she was trying to help me find the right products for my dogs. The conversation felt personal, relaxed, and genuinely helpful. When it was time to check out, Lilith at the register was just as friendly and welcoming. She asked about my dogs, chatted with me for a bit, and made the whole visit end on the same positive note it started with. I can't give more than five stars, but if I could, I would. And they refuse to take him any longer. No context, no explanation of what happened, obviously he felt threatened, which makes me wonder what kind of people they have work in there. He is a golden retriever for God sakes, and has never attempted to bite anyone or any other animal in his life, however, somehow, Petco managed to make him do it. So they claim.

She's so patient, calm, caring and we felt totally confident leaving our sweet boy in her capable hands. She even called us post-surgery to let us know how to reach her over the weekend should issues arise. Rona, the vet tech is also great! She gave detailed post-op instructions and patiently answered all my questions. We live over an hour away but we're going to bring our other two dogs for care here as well. Dougherty has earned a client for life.
