After bouncing around to several groomers and always getting mediocre work, I decided to try bark ave.

I would not recommend recommending using this place for any of your pet needs, especially grooming…read more Somehow, they are the only people in the world that got a golden retriever to "bite" while doing the grooming. And they refuse to take him any longer. No context, no explanation of what happened, obviously he felt threatened, which makes me wonder what kind of people they have work in there. He is a golden retriever for God sakes, and has never attempted to bite anyone or any other animal in his life, however, somehow, Petco managed to make him do it. So they claim.

Beta fish in cups dead and dying in gross water. Saltwater tanks were horrifying, the ones you could see in anyway. Freshwater tanks gross. Dead fish and snails everywhere. These assholes have a pleco in a 3 gallon tank. The poor turtle was swimming in filthy water with nothing but a rock, trying to get out. The birds are not taken care of. Dead snacks and lizards. The employees wandering around like they have nothing to do and they sure aren't checking out or helping customers. I will shop here again and I will report them to everyone I can think of. This store needs to be shut down immediately. They do not care about any of the animals or fish in their care. Words cannot describe how awful this store is.

People bought us gift certificates because I talked about how I was so delighted with the whole thing. Since the ownership changed over, we had a terrible experience when one of the employees snapped at my daughter -- who loved to come and help wash our dog -- for something the employee herself did. I did not go back for a long time because of that experience, and when I decided to give them another try, it was another terrible experience. Asked for a dog nail trim, and the employee wanted me to sit on the floor in the lobby and hold my full-size, soaking wet, uncooperative dog still so she could clip her nails. Clipped some too short, dog was bleeding. Didn't clip some nails at all. Charged double what it was previously. I did a large portion of the work. Was the single most chaotic dog nail trim I have ever experienced in my life, and I used to work for the Humane Society. I want them to do well as a business because I think it is a good concept and a good location and I would love to be able to utilize the business. Other people have had positive experiences, or so it looks like. Our experience since the new owners took over has been one of prickly unwelcomeness. But maybe what I think is rude is actually normal among the young people who work there, and I just don't understand.
