Had the opportunity to take the CCW certification class yesterday. Herb & his team are both very knowledgeable & patient. I've only shot a firearm at a range once before taking this class, so of course I was a little nervous & felt that I'd be behind everyone else, in terms of experience. But that was not the case, as we had a handful of beginners besides myself. (Thank goodness! Haha.) I appreciate that Herb, Kai, & Danny really took their time to educate us & work with each of us even with our class being 30+ people in attendance. I felt comfortable enough to ask questions when needed & in turn, I was able to successfully complete this course. I highly recommend checking them out for any of your firearm training needs. Side note, my certificate accidentally didn't get signed at the range. 10 Mar 2017 Update Just finished a holster and concealed draw class. An excellent class to take if you're serious about carrying concealed. Herb did a great job diagnosing a tiny glitch in my draw that caused me to miss consistently low. This kind of attention to detail make his classes more than worth the money. Highly recommend (again) to further your firearm education. Recently did my Nevada CCW permit class with Herb Pascua. Nothing but great things to say about the experience. Herb was very knowledgeable and professional. He was personable and created a great atmosphere to learn. His dry fire exercises got me comfortable with my weapon and is something I can continue to use to improve my skill. In addition to NV his training class allows you to apply for your Arizona, Utah and Florida CCW permits. Highly recommended. read more

What an incredible group! I did my research and felt from the reviews that Topline Defense and Herb was going to be a good fit for me to learn form and to acquire my CCW, but nothing that was written really does justice to the professionalism Herb and his team bring to the table. Within 15 min of my arrival I was greeted by Herb and Michael who immediately made me feel like family (and that's not easy for me to say as that is a very high bar in my book). From that point on it was a great deal of One on One instruction for those who needed it and very clear and professional group instruction. Safety was always paramount and a very warm and friendly (Family) environment for learning and achieving the end Goal. Herb and his team personify excellence as is clearly evident when I had the opportunity to interact with many of his employees and trainee's. My husband and I completed our CCW training with Herb. A total of 8 hours between the classroom and in the range. I was a little apprehensive at first about doing this class since my level of knowledge and experience is at a beginners level; while, my husband's knowledge and experience is a bit more advanced than mine. Our class had a mixture of all levels of knowledge and experience. We were impressed by the way Herb made sure to make not just me but everyone in the class feel safe, comfortable, and confident in what we were learning and doing. The class size was perfect and Herb was able to give everyone in the class one-on-one instruction. It wasn't a class where you sat for 8 hours and watched a video; you'll get a lot of hands on training. Herb understood how to be flexible and adaptable to meet each student's needs at their level with principal and technique. He was open-minded and patient with each student and corrected with safety being a top priority. Herb has many years of credentials under his belt in firearms, self-defense and training, and is also a Certified NRA Instructor. And it shows! He made sure to adequately cover the fundamentals and went in depth about gun laws. Before arriving for my class today I was nervous... didn't know what to expect everything being new to me... I was very intimidated... after I met Herb Pascua he made me feel comfortable with my surroundings and I couldn't wait to learn the classwork he had prepared... Once we opened that book he prepared i was fascinated by how organized and specific his lessons were... he spoke from experience to help us understand the lessons he was teaching... he taught from experience and also from literature which makes it easier to comprehend. Hands on is a good way to teach and HE PROVIDES THAT along with PATIENCE... He GIVES YOU the time you need to familiarize yourself with the book work and firearms and that is crucial because it is a matter of life and death and EVERYTHING YOU LEARN needs to be taken seriously... he offers extended help and training which is something YOU really don't get elsewhere! Gun Range experience AGAIN time consuming which is WHAT'S NEEDED!!! You need to learn everything from beginning to end it don't matter if you are beginner or advance if you choose to take Herbs class for whatever reason if you want to learn the right way... Start NEW with HIM!
