Going into this class, I really had no expectations, I figured I would listen to a bunch of boring laws concerning conceal carry, take a test and go to the range. It was so much more than that! Tracy and Alexandra were great instructors! They kept it light, but serious and informative. I liked that the class was small, I was able to ask questions, ask follow up questions and share stories without the feeling of being rushed or feeling stupid for asking questions. Tracy and Alex were tag team instructors with years of experience and they knew each other's strengths when it came to teaching certain parts of the class. After this class, I feel confident enough to open carry until I receive my CCW permit and then conceal once I get my CCW. The location was Boulder City's Pro Gun Club. The location for the class portion was very laid back and engaging. None of us were bored or dozing off. Tyler does a great job of keeping the material relevant and easy to understand. He welcomes questions and does a great job of relating his own stories to the class content. Tyler has a wealth of experience in military, law enforcement and martial arts. He is patient, funny, and very down to earth. I personally did not have any prior experience with a holster, different stances, or one armed handling of a firearm. Tyler took the time to work with me to make sure I not only hit my mark, but that I understood what I did to achieve that. His range assistant that day, Justin, was also very helpful. Justin kept a close eye on us, ensuring that we understood the context of our movements and actions. I was very nervous using the holster, but Justin helped to assuage my feelings to get me back in the zone. As a responsible gun owner and American citizen it is your job to educate yourself to your highest ability on the use of your firearm in a multitude of different situations. Do not be complacent about your CCW class. If you don't give a s*** about keeping your self legally and physically safe, then sure, take a class from a gun range that doesn't charge you and only requires you to shoot 25 - 50 rounds. You won't walk away any smarter or safer. If you want a CCW class where you walk away feeling like a better, smarter, safer, more tactical gun owner, take Tyler's class. It is money well spent. 10 out of 10 times, I would chose Tyler's class instead of one at an indoor range from one of the big Vegas ranges. I learned so much in this class, plenty of homework to put into practice both in dryfire and live fire. Chris has a great teaching style. He is professional and courteous. He runs a very safe shooting environment. I have been mainly self taught, and also via YouTube, but nothing replaces a quality live instructor. Everyone left the class feeling positive about taking their shooting to the next level. Chris will give you that feedback you need, so you can not only realize what you are doing wrong, but how to address it and work on fixing it right away. I was hoping for a great class based on the reviews, and the itinerary listed. However, the class was not ideal. * Only practiced CPR on adult and infant manikins once with no practice for child CPR procedures. * No hands-on training for AED use, choking response, or first aid procedures. * Approximately 30 students with only 3 adult and 3 infant manikins available for training. They appeared to be unprepared for the number of attendees as seats were slowly coming into an already packed room for each new person that came through the door. This created a disorganized atmosphere, and gave the impression that they did not know how many students had registered for the class. * Instructor was often difficult to hear due to soft speaking and noise outside of the classroom. * Assistant was unavailable to assist instructor in observing the hands-on CPR practice stating that they were doing a test during the class. * Many participants appeared to be performing compressions incorrectly, as the feedback lights were frequently red or off, indicating improper compression depth, hand placement, or technique. Nothing was corrected. * Text message notifications repeatedly appeared on the presentation screen, including one with derogatory language. I found this to be unprofessional, distracting, and awkward. * Course was advertised as 2 hours but ended after about 1.5 hours. * Final material was rushed, leaving little time for questions or additional practice. * Left feeling unprepared and disappointed with the overall quality of the training. I understand that unexpected issues can arise, but I am disappointed by the lack of organization, instruction, and structure in a class that teaches critical lifesaving skills. I plan to get better training in a CPR, AED, and First Aid class somewhere else.

One of their phones was hooked up to the laptop which all the students could see the text on the overhead, which one of the text was derogatory. I found it very rude and unprofessional. The class didn't feel like a long lecture, it included hands-on training that made everything much easier to understand. In the classroom, she also prepares you for exactly what to expect at the range, which helped me feel ready and confident. At the range, Chantal was extremely professional and helpful with positioning, aiming, and shooting. She truly focuses on individualizing your experience.
