My best buddy took me here when I was visiting him in Vegas, and it ended up being a really fun experience. He's in the military and owns a bunch of different firearms, so he wanted to take me to an indoor range so I could try shooting properly. I don't have much experience with guns, but with his guidance I actually had a great time. The staff here were very friendly and professional. Before we started, they went over their policies and safety procedures thoroughly, which I really appreciated. As someone who's not a regular shooter, it made me feel a lot more comfortable. Range review I went shooting at Green Valley Range with my brother to break in a new handgun. The check-in process was great. An employee went over the rules and everything seemed fine. For $25 each, you get the use of the range, 2 targets, eye and ear protection rental, and they have a lounge with fountain sodas that you can hang out in after. There were a few MAGA shirts for sale, but as a bleeding heart liberal woman, I felt perfectly safe there. Since my gun was brand new and I haven't been shooting in about 20 years, my brother set up some target stickers on the side of one of the targets to ensure it was dialed in. After a few rounds, the RSO came by and questioned what we were doing. For some reason, this range uses a picture-frame style cardboard backing. Someone actually took the time to cut out the center of the cardboard. He was somewhat polite until he started complaining that we were shooting "his" cardboard frame and needed to stop. It's literally a piece of cardboard that was already riddled with holes. There was no explanation, other than the frame was his and we weren't allowed. My brother was a marksmanship instructor in the Marines for years and we could not come up with any valid reason. Other than that, we had a great time. read more

I stopped in here on 09/24/2025 in the afternoon because the gun store I've gone to before had their gun range closed due to maintenance and my house was recently broken into & I wanted to purchase a gun for home protection and do some shooting. It was busy when I walked in & I was unsure of who to go see when I arrived. I had asked a guy who was hanging around (later I found out he is an instructor) if there was a line and a guy behind the counter had asked "how can I help you?" Come to find out I was talking to the owner, retired police officer Jerry. I told him about my house recently being broken into & robbed. I told him what kind of experience I've had with guns & shooting. He asked me what was my purpose of owning a gun was & I informed him that it was just for home protection & to go out shooting for practice as needed. Of course being a retired police officer & a gun shop owner he was very knowledgeable/informative about the guns they carry. He had showed me a few, allowed me to hold them and try them out (of course not loaded). We spent a lot of time going over the guns & talking. I then informed him that I needed to shoot a few different types of guns to find one that I was comfortable with & felt confident using. After I departed from him I walked thru to the gun range. This place was busy & only had 4 guys working but one had to get to lunch so that left 3 guys. They have one behind the windows of the range to keep an eye on people who are shooting & available to go in and help out if needed. One guy to answer the phone/run the counter and then one to go inside the range with you if needed. I dealt with Jon who was handling the busyness quite well. Once it was my turn I told him what I wanted to do, what guns I've shot in the past and we discussed which ones I would shot that day. I went with a 9mm and a 380. I believe I've shot a 380 before & knew I've shot a 9mm. One option was to rent a gun & get 50 bullets with it, not sure of the cost but he did tell me if I didn't use all the bullets I could take them home with me but I wouldn't be allowed to bring them back to use in the future so I decided that wasn't the best option for me as I wanted to try out more than one gun. I ended up doing the "try before you buy deal" ($25) which includes one gun with 5 bullets, each additional gun was another $25. I found this a little expensive & would have thought if you added another gun that the pricing would be a little less but I was there to shoot guns so I went with that deal. You have to give them your ID & fill out some paperwork. They have goggles & ear protection to use. I had flip flops on when I arrived in the store & knew that I couldn't wear these while shooting & changed into sneakers. They also have a nice little waiting area with a couch & then some high top tables where the counter was. They have a soda machine for free drinks, just ask for a cup and single male & female bathrooms. Jon took me back into the range and gave me some reminders on how to hold the gun. I went with the 380 first. I had originally liked the gun as its smaller & fits in my hands nicer but it definitely had a bigger kick than the 9mm. I was liking the 9mm better. Jon stayed right by my side and was there to answer questions and to help me out as needed. It is loud in there and I did get a little jumpy to the sound of other gun's going off...not the best thing to have happened when ya have a gun in your hands. I had 10 bullets to shoot & hit my target 9/10 times which was AWESOME, considering it's been a few years since I've shot a gun. (see photo) We went back to the counter and I had told Jon I wanted to shoot a 9mm some more but there is a process once your out of the range & back at the counter. There were people who were waiting to use the range. One young kid was there wanting to shoot a machine gun. A guy over 18 came in with a 17yr old & the rule is the adult had to stay with him @ all times while he was shooting the gun. You can bring your own gun and ammo in but they will check your gun out before you can go & shoot it. Jon told me I would have to wait before going back in to shoot some more but it was almost 3pm and I wanted to get to Best Buy to buy a home security system and I had a friend coming over to my house so my time was limited & I didn't want to rush in BB. I told Jon I was going to leave and come back another time. If your planning on going to the range and don't have an appointment or do be aware that you may have to wait to get into the range, so be patient and leave yourself plenty of time if you have somewhere to be afterwards because you may have to wait. I believe you can make an appointment but only 2-3 days in advance (can't remember what Jon told someone who had called to do that?) Jerry & Jon made me feel welcomed. They were very patient and educational with the different types of guns. I definitely will be back to shoot some more. I highly recommend this place!! read more

The facility is nice & the front desk people are great. However, If you are a shorter woman trying to gain confidence around firearms this is NOT the place for you. I shot a little high on the target - into the letters - which I know is not good but scolding me instead of teaching me is uncalled for. First time I shot in 5 years. I'm only 5'2" and everything is built for taller people so it was hard for me to get my feel for how to aim upwards and straight. The main reason I'll never go back is because the man that came in, scolded me through my husband. I am fully capable of handling myself and if he had something to say, they should have talked to me, not my husband. I felt completely disrespected and the man was very condescending to someone trying to practice and get better. I was hoping to sign up to take a class here because it's close to home but I'd rather spend my money where women are not treated as children. read more

2 unfortunately bad experiences First time in they tell me I need to scan a QR code to sign a waiver, the landing page asked me to scan my id, I click on it and nothing happens, can't advance to the next step. Guy behind the counter says "well sir how can you expect to scan your id when you don't have a scanner. You would need a scanner connected to your device, does that make sense?".... I'm f*cking sorry?? I don't know man it's my first time in I'm just doing what I'm asked of. Only for him to back track and say "oh yeah this isn't working you need to use the iPad." Other than the rude staff who projected a superiority complex, the range experience was okay, typical indoor range, well cared for. Second visit, I walked in on Father's Day (busy day, I get it) to a guy behind the counter pointing out to a 'supervisor' (and everyone else who is waiting for their turn) that this poor couple was like 20 minutes late to their reservation. "Hey, these are the ones that are late.." and the 'supervisor' says "ohhhh! I'm so sorryyy!! I'm so sorry that you were laaaaate!" In the most demeaning tone you could imagine, like talking to a child. Loudly. So everyone in the establishment could hear. Seriously? Anyways I stand by the door for 5 additional minutes before finally being acknowledged and get told to sit down in the waiting room because they're busy. Mind you there's maybe 10 people maximum just hanging out chatting at the little bar tables. But I'm a walk in so that's what happens I get it. I sit in the little nook room they have for maybe 30-40 minutes, then right as the couple who were originally in line directly in front of me goes back into the range, the employee who told me to sit down walks up to me... "sir has anyone helped you?"... haha actually, no! Told him that he himself instructed me to have a seat in the waiting room. Staff proceeds to then tell me "oh I forgot to put you on the list, I'm going to put you down as fifth in line then, that okay?"... Nope, told him I don't have time for that and walked out. Sad day, I just wanted to get my suppressor setup squared away. With my sample size of two visits, there's a large likelihood that you will be metaphorically 'walked on' by staff with handguns (who's p320s hopefully aren't chaimbered...) on their hips before you're 'allowed' to have what is a reasonably mediocre indoor range experience. If you're cool with that then this is the place for you. The pricing is reasonable and you get good value with 3 high quality targets per stall rental. The stalls are sizable though few, and are clean and in great shape. You can, although I haven't, rent a firearm here which you might be considering purchasing, to shoot prior to purchase to make sure it's a good fit for you. The only other thing which bugged me is that you can only shoot up to 7.62x39 here, or so I was told. I personally would not bring my patronage back to this establishment because of what I personally perceived, but I still think this is a solid option for others who aren't bothered as easily when it's up over 110° outside. read more

I've gone to this shooting range on and off for years but there's something about this place that I honestly loathe. It's uncomfortable. You walk in and you're instantly hit with a sense of ego and superiority complexes. I'm all about safety but the range monitors are always breathing down your neck and watching EVERY SINGLE THING you do, which is annoying. I've even heard them ridicule and laugh at shooters from behind the glass, which isn't professional and downright arrogant. The range itself is LOUD. Seems like they do nothing to absorb sound in there so yes, wear three pairs of ear protection if you have to. It's certainly not an ideal range for someone with PTSD. Too loud, too cramped, too awkward. And whatever you do, don't miss the targets or hit the cardboard frames by accident or you'll be scolded on the spot. There's very little room for error at this range. It's not for learning but moreso for seasoned and experienced shooters. And as an extra bonus, the MAGA trash t-shirts they sell gives the place a lower character than it needs to be. The only thing that may be ok about this place are their CCW classes. Though they have one instructor there who treated women so poorly in the class. It was cringy and rude singling out the women. I wouldn't bring my wife there for this reason alone. read more

I've been here a handful of times now, and I have to say the staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable. The public range is a little smaller side, so you may need to wait for a lane to open. I personally like coming here because I am able to leave, go get something to eat, come back, and still be able to use the range since I already paid. They also offer one free handgun cleaning per lane, which is imo convenient. I recently purchased a Springfield Hellcat Micro from here at a great price. Another reason I like this place is they offer you a free range day with the purchase of a new handgun with plenty of accessories available and ammo in stock. Now I did mention that the public range is on the smaller side, but they do also offer a membership signup which gives you access to a bigger range at the same location. Living on the East Side, I'd been looking for a gun range that is open to the general public. There are a few, but I don't feel like driving out to Boulder City. Green Valley Range seemed to be the most convenient for me. I needed to zero a handgun optic, so I figured this was a good time to check out Green Valley Range for the first time. The check-in and sign-in process was quick & easy. For range time, they offer 2 free targets to use, which is nice. Additionally, they offer discounts for Military/First Responders/LE, casino workers, and gun store workers. Even better. Overall, a very calm, respectful, and supportive environment. Everyone from the front desk, RSOs - and even fellow shooters on the range - were all polite and approachable. I will certainly be back. I stopped in Green Valley Range to fire a new weapon. It was my first time at this range. I went on a week day. I would say it was moderately busy. I was greeted by a member of their staff. I provided my ID and completed some minimal liability paper and some other stuff on an I-Pad. The Range pass was $25.00, it included targets and eye / ear protection. I had my own ears & eyes, so I didn't need theirs. I occupied a lane and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I will definitely return. read more

Do NOT take the CCW class here. Worst renewal class I've ever taken. They finish the course and then hold you hostage for 45 minutes and make you listen to a firearm insurance salesman. He is a terrible salesman, as well as wasting everyone's time. At least give everyone the choice to listen to him or leave. They won't fill out your paperwork until after the spiel. Ridiculous. If you are a new marksman don't be shy to ask for assistance, they are always willing to help. Prices for single person is $25 which is a bit steep but you can be there for as long as you please. Got my renewal for ccw and Clif the instructor. These renewal classes can be very tedious and very boring, but this one was anything but. It was very entertaining and the time seemed to pass quickly.
