The flowers were so beautiful and lasted a very long time. The ladies and little girls were so excited for them. Met the owner; he was so helpful and friendly. As I was leaving he asked where I was headed and he even gave me a shortcut which was scenic and cut down on my travel time. Gotta love that.

Strong Farm's annual scarecrow contest is a family affair for children and adults of all ages…read more There are two contest classes, business and family with ribbons awarded in each class. Judging and the awards ceremony occurs late October usually a week or so before Halloween. This is our fifth contest and perhaps the largest we've seen to date, interest has been growing steadily since it began 6 years ago. Local vendors and artisans promote their crafts: jewelry, home made jams, jellies, preserves, bake goods, scarfs and artwork. The 4H club brings animals for display and petting making the event very interesting for younger children. This is a day of good wholesome family fun day, connecting attendees to rural life on the farm.
