First we did a snow shoe tour through the sugar bush with one of the guides. Beautiful and a great introduction to snowshoeing. We then did a cross country ski lesson and then had a blast discovering just how hard cross country really is. (Note to down hill skiers like myself, there are more differences than similarities between CC and downhill skiing.) We actually loved this whole experience and the Trapp property so much we came back a second day and did the ~6mi (10K) snowshoe trail up to the cabin, which was one of the more magical and memorable experiences of my lifetime. It was just a perfect day with perfect snow and scenery. It truly MADE my Christmas vacation. All in all, this was more than a five star experience for us. I would honestly like to just move in and sit by their fire for the rest of my life.

Took us around 2hrs round trip and the steep incline really got the blood pumping. If you reach the top you are rewarded with a 360 degree view of the surrounding area. I highly recommend!

The element of having to use a tablet to verify if your guess is correct was new to us. But after a few tries, we got the hang of it and understood its purpose. This was a challenging one as we were so close to escaping. The game master was helpful along the way, giving us clues when he saw we were stuck. I recommend playing is you're in the area and enjoy solving puzzles and riddles. We'd definitely love to try the next one they're working on which is scheduled to come out soon.

The gym is great, plenty of cardio equipment and high quality weight machines to go around and a little added bonus- it has a good amount of natural light coming in. They offer a number of fitness classes and in particular they regularly schedule a number of really great Zumba classes with many of the best instructors in the area; try a class with Dillon, Leonora or Jess! The studio space is fantastic with great air flow, a bumpin' sound system and mirrors in the front and on the sides. They often run super affordable punch card specials (especially on or around a holiday) and their desk staff is always friendly and helpful. There is a locker room equipped with lockers, showers and even a basket with random items you may forget like shampoo or lotion. The atmosphere is positive and welcoming which is really important for me. The only downfall is that it's a bit of hike from Burlington; it would be awesome if they opened up a second location in the downtown area so I could ditch my Edge pass. Great space, great facilities and fun staff, check it out!

Many thanks to "Pro Mike" for accepting my request for a 1:1 hitting session even though I'm not a member. Anyone who visits the Stowe area should give the club a call and ask for a hitting session. The STC has well-maintained har-tru courts in a beautiful setting.

Okay, I love, love, love Maple Street Park. I have two young children and this is definitely one…read moreof our favorite places to hang out. I love the ratio of equipment for the age of my kids--plenty of baby/toddler swings and slides. Also little rocking ride on equipment. The only thing that could make it a little better for us would be a swing for special needs kids as my older daughter can't sit safely in a regular swing due to her needs. But we make do with what is there very nicely :) The grounds are super well kept and part of a larger park which includes a baseball and soccer (I think) field. I am kind of obsessed with the beautiful flower garden that they have in the parking lot. I would love to be able to steal their gardener for a day to help me make something similar. There is a pool as well with a waterslide. We've never actually used the pool but it very popular and always crowded. There is also a skate park for older kids which is really cool. At least it looks cool--I don't know the first think about skateboarding. I am always impressed by how respectful the skaters seem to be about safety rules. It looks like a lot of fun. Anyhow, this is a really nice park with great shade on hot days. There are always lots of super friendly people there to chat with as well.

I love this park…read more It is beautiful. It is clean and well kept. I remember coming here after school with a few hours to waste, would buy snacks on the way and just lazy around enjoying the sunshine. What a life, it really just makes me so happy. Coming here again brings back good memories.
